Two St. Cloud teenagers were arrested early Saturday morning after police say they broke into a woman’s house while one of them carried a stolen handgun. Officers responded to a reported burglary in the 800 block of Eighth Street South just before 2:00am. As officers responded to the call, police say they saw two teenage boys with backpacks in a nearby yard matching the description given by the victim. The boys ran from the officers, one on foot and the other on a bike. An officer used a stun gun to stop the 17-year-old suspect on the bike, and found a stolen gun in his pocket. The 17-year-old also had a felony warrant in Stearns County in connection to a first-degree burglary. Officers also arrested the second suspect, a 15-year-old boy, after a foot pursuit. Police say the boys had items taken in the reported burglary. Both were taken to Stearns County Jail and could face charges of first-degree burglary, receiving stolen property and fleeing police. The 17-year-old could face charges of possession of a stolen handgun. Police say the suspects are being investigated in connection with similar crimes.
