Baby's on Broadway in Little Falls and St. Cloud will be closing both stores in the coming weeks. A Facebook message Monday night stated they will be stopping businesses at both sites in the coming weeks but all customer orders will be fulfilled. The owner, 40-year-old Adelle Starin recently pleaded guilty to wire fraud and faces jail time. A sentencing date has yet to be set. She posted she is taking accountability for her mistakes and announced that she turned herself in to federal authorities late last year. She has been working with the lenders and customers to finish all business from the stores before closing.
Three people are dead after being involved in a two-vehicle collision in central Minnesota Sunday afternoon. The Minnesota State Patrol's (MSP) crash report said a Ford F150 was heading south on Highway 169 near Mille Lacs Lake just before 1 p.m. when it crossed the center line and crashed into a Dodge Durango going northbound. MSP reported the driver of the Ford, 59-year-old Lee Page, of Coon Rapids, was killed, as was his passenger 59-year-old Lisa Brunes, also of Coon Rapids. The driver of the Dodge, a 53-year-old man from Remer suffered non-life-threatening injuries, while his passenger Kari Hohansee, 51, also of Remer, was killed. The crash report showed the individuals were all wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash. Authorities are still investigating the cause.
--Residents on the north side of Waite Park are being asked to check cameras on their properties due to suspicious activity. According to the police department, three to four men, possibly driving a black Ford Edge, were seen going door to door checking homes and car doors around 1am. Saturday. Based on video footage obtained by police, the group may have successfully gained entry to cars or homes. Anyone with cameras outside their homes is asked to check around that time for activity. Anyone with information or surveillance video is asked to contact police. The number to call is 320-251-3281, and press the option to speak with an officer.
--Multiple people were injured Saturday after the school bus they were on left the roadway on Highway 27 in Aitkin County. The Minnesota State Patrol responded to the crash at 6:43 p.m. in Rice River Township, south of McGregor. According to the crash report, a 2020 Freightliner School Bus left the road to the right and traveled through the ditch before correcting back onto the roadway. The driver of the bus, Kevin Bernard Burzynski, 54, of Hibbing, and passengers Clayton Horst, 16, and Christian Schmidt, 16, all suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to Riverwood Healthcare Center in Aitkin. Passengers Roger Leonard Betters, 75; Elliott David Osterhoudt, 39; Owen David Walters, 46; and Ellis Daniel Wojciehowski, 59, all suffered no reported injuries. The State Patrol reported the road was snow and ice covered at the time of the crash.
--The Morrison County Sheriff's Office stated that on On January 11th and 12th, the Morrison County Jail participated in the 53rd annual REC program (Residents Encountering Christ). This program is one of the best that our jail has to offer and we are thankful for the volunteers and staff that help make this program a success. The program transforms lives and acknowledges that redemption is possible even in the most challenging circumstances. Thank you to everyone who helped out and thank you for doing God’s work!
There is a bus to the March for Life in St. Paul on January 22nd leaving Little Falls, Pierz and Buckman that morning free of charge. If you wish to be on the bus contact Dale Beierman at 320-360-7100. A service begins at 10:30am at the St. Paul Cathedral with the march to the Capitol starting at noon. The bus will leave Little Falls at 7:30pm and return around 5pm that afternoon.

SPORTS- an ugly ending to the Vikings season last night as the Los Angeles Rams beat Minnesota 27-9 in the wildcard playoffs. The Rams defense mauled Sam Darnold last night leading to a victory. Vikings finish the year at 14-4. Rams will travel to Philadelphia Sunday afternoon in the Divisional Playoffs. Saturday Houston at Kansas City, Washington at Detroit, Sunday Baltimore at Buffalo along with Rams/Eagles game. All games live on AM960 KLTF.
NFL= The Dallas Cowboys have parted way with coach Mike McCarthy. Owner Jerry Jones met with former player Deion Sanders about the job Monday.
