NEWS
--The Morrison County Sheriff is asking for help after several mailboxes were damaged sometime overnight Tuesday into Wednesday this week. Authorities say 8 mailboxes were damaged along Dove Road between Randall and Highway 27 in Culdrum, Parker and Darling Townships. Anyone with outdoor surveillance cameras in Culdrum, Parker, and Darling Townships is asked to review the recordings and contact the sheriff’s office (320-632-9233) with anything out of the ordinary. It is believed the incidents are related.

--Today is the free Christmas Meal at the Royal Cafe in Little Falls for those you reserved a spot, pickup time or delivery time. Tim Sumner said that there are still some spots available but again these are reserved spots, you must call 320-632-2540. They did announce they have drivers in Little Falls, Royalton and Bowlus to help deliver meals. The meal is served, picked up or delivered from 4:30pm-7pm tonight. --Authorities in central Minnesota have located a missing woman. The Stearns County Sheriff's Office says Kaitlyn Hohman of Eden Valley was found safe in Minneapolis on Wednesday thanks to help from the public. Hohman was reported missing after having no contact with her family since July. The sheriff's office says the search for Hohman was part of an ongoing investigation and they had reason to believe there was a concern for her safety. Again she has been found safe.

--Tom Lyons of Minnesota Military Radio joined KLTF yesterday stating the show is in its 14th season and Little Falls Radio was the first to add the his show in 2010 after wanting it expanded. Lyons said 2023 with the new Minnesota Navel vessels being unveiled and the Military Museum breaking ground on the new facility in 2026 made for some of his top stories and next year in 2024 he plans on covering the Red Bull Deployment and other ceremonies in the next year. Lyons did mention though he has turned over some of the production work to Doug Wortham, who has been doing the show quite a bit this past year, Lyons will still be the executive producer of the show he started 14 years ago, as he will be working with Wortham on many stories next year. Minnesota Military Radio is heard on Q92 WYRQ Sunday morning at 7am and then also on AM960 KLTF Saturday morning at 11am. More details on the program, can be found at minnesotamilitaryradio.com.

--A Level 3 Predatory Offender is moving to St. Cloud. The St. Cloud Police Department says 32-year-old Nathan Braun is moving to the 100 block of 12th Avenue North next week. Authorities say Braun engaged in sexual conduct with a known teenage girl over a period of time. Records show that conduct included Braun showing her explicit materials and sexual penetration. Authorities say he used attention and affection to get her alone and unmonitored. He has served his sentence and is not wanted by authorities. An informational video is available here. --The National Weather Service reported that Minnesota has had green or brown Christmas's in the past decade with minimal snowfall back in 2021, 2014 and 2015 showing less than 1 inch of snow in southern and central Minnesota kind of like this year. However it shows that the years we received minimal snow in November and December, 2014 & 2015 had large March snowstorms. The last year with less than ½ inch of snow around the entire state for Christmas takes back to 1970 then there was a big snow storm in January.

--Amazon announced on Wednesday that they are receiving calls of people impersonating their drivers. A new technique reported in St. Louis Park might have you thinking twice about who could be at your door. At least two instances of a man caught on the ring doorbell camera dressed as an Amazon delivery driver stealing packages and other items from the porch or entryway of the homes. Amazon has refunded those cases. This is a national issue that hundreds of reported thefts of impersonators of delivery employees taking the items or in some cases breaking into homes. Amazon has posted tips on how to identify legitimate drivers and if you notice suspicious activity from a delivery driver contact your local law enforcement.

--The Haven of Mercy Catholic Community has changed some of their Mass times this weekend. Sunday Christmas Eve Masses are at 4pm at St. Mary's in Little Falls, 4pm at Our Lady of Lourdes in Little Falls which will be live on Q92 WYRQ, 4:30pm Masses at St. James in Randall and 4:30pm at St. Stanislaus in Sobieski. 7:30pm Mass at Holy Family Belle Prairie. There will be a Latin Midnight Mass at Sacred Heart in Flensburg. Christmas Day Masses are 8:30am at Our Lady of Lourdes, 9am at St. Mary's in Little Falls, 9am at Sacred Heart at Flensburg and 10am at Holy Family Belle Prairie. Holiday Harmonies by Brian Michaels (Doucette) a native of Little Falls will be 4-6pm on Christmas Day on KLTF and their will be recorded service with prayer and song by Father Jimmy Joseph and his singers Monday after the 8am news Christmas Day on KLTF.
