--The Little Falls Police Department reported that on November 30th they were dispatched to Pine Grove Zoo on the west side of Little Falls where zoo staff reported that someone broke the lock to the education building the night before and removed the taxidermy mount of a wolf and a couple of animal pelts. The wolf mount was later located near the north end of the zoo over the fenced area and recovered. It is believed when the thief or thieves was trying to leave the zoo they left the mount when then climbed out of the fenced area. Anyone with information or noticed suspicious activity around the zoo is asked to contact police at 320-616-5570.

--What a huge weekend of events to take in. The Christmas Tours continue at Linden Hill today through Sunday, Rosenmeier Home today through Sunday, Lindbergh Home/Historic Site today through Sunday, Fishing Museum and Hall of Fame today through Sunday with Santa there Saturday and Sunday afternoon. Tonight there is a art/culture/pub crawl event in St. Cloud at many sites details at whitgallery.com. Saturday Carousel of Crafts starting at 9am at the Little Falls Community Middle School, St. James Bazaar in Randall craft and bake sale, soup and other items Saturday and then Sunday with raffe at 10:30am Mass, there are boutiques and craft sales with refreshments and other items at Faith Lutheran Church, First Lutheran Church and others on Saturday; also Faith Lutheran has a free movie night Saturday at 7pm. Saturday night the Heartland Symphony Orchestra will perform at Charles D. Martin Auditorium at 7:30pm with their winter/holiday style concert they also have a concert Sunday in Brainerd. The Harding Hors'n Around parade is back this year starting at 5pm in Harding with horses and lights there will also be crafts, live Nativity, Santa and more in Harding through the afternoon on Saturday. It was also reported that events are also planned this weekend in Royalton and in Upsala so check with their city halls for further information. There is a Senior Center Breakfast in Little Falls Sunday and a omelet breakfast in Deerwood to their their Sons of the America Legion at their post. There is a Toy Bingo Sunday at 1pm at Holy Trinity School in Pierz. Details on the events can be found at fallsradio.com click on community calendar.

--One person was killed on Highway 65 in Kanebec in Peace Township Wednesday morning around 6:35am. 58-year-old Mia Besemann of Finlayson was on 65 when a northbound truck driven by 46-year-old Christopher Stafford of Braham crossed the center line struck the Besemann vehicle head on. Besemann was pronounced dead at the scene. Stafford and one passenger in the vehicle were not hurt, a second passeger, a 30 year old from Mora was treated for injuries.

--A Paynesville teenager was hurt in a rollover crash Tuesday evening. The incident happened around 6:30pm on County Road 32 in Zion Township. The Stearns County Sheriff's Office says a car was going east on County Road 32, when 19-year-old Maxwell Anderson, reached to grab something inside the vehicle, left the road, hit an approach, and rolled several times before coming to a rest on the roof. Anderson was treated for with non-life-threatening injuries.

--Join Little Falls Radio and the Holiday Gift Giving Program of Morrison County for Fill the Truck Saturday from 10am-2pm in the Wal-Mart parking lot. Help out by buying toys, gifts, clothing, blankets, mittens and more to help fill the truck and help out those kids in need this holiday season. --The Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) said lab testing has confirmed the first case of the COVID-19 omicron variant in the state. MDH said the infected Minnesota resident is an adult male from Hennepin County who recently traveled to New York City. The patient, who MDH said is vaccinated, developed "mild symptoms" on November 22nd and was tested on the 24th. The patient got a booster shot in early November. At least one person who came in close contact with the patient is being asked to isolate after testing positive on a rapid test. This comes one day after first U.S. confirmed case of the new variant was reported in California.

--Last weekend was the first weekend of muzzleloader deer hunting in the state of Minnesota. The Minnesota DNR says that nearly 1,800 deer were shot this past weekend which is down about 100 deer from last year. This follows the trend of the regular firearms season. With all of the deer seasons combined in the state of Minnesota, so far 170,200 deer have been harvested as of Tuesday this week. That number is down about 7% from about the same time last year. The muzzleloader deer hunting season in Minnesota continues through December 12th. For the latest totals check out the DNR website.

--The Little Falls City Council meets Monday at 7:30pm at City Hall.

–“Laverne and Shirley” co-star- Eddie Mekka known as Carmine “The Big Ragu” as the boyfriend of Shirley on the TV Series 1976-1983 has died after being hospitalized for blood clots. He was 69 years old.

NFL= Vikings at Detroit Sunday at noon. The Vikings will take on Pittsburgh next Thursday night at 7pm on AM960 KLTF and then the Vikings will take on Chicago Bears on Monday, December 20th starting at 6:30pm on AM960 KLTF for their upcoming games.
MSHSL= The Minnesota State High School League's Board of Directors has approved the requirement of a 35-second shot clock for the boys and girls 2023-2024 basketball season. Discussions on requiring shot clocks have been going on for several years, but in May the National Federation of State High School Associations decided to allow them by state adoption.
