--Baxter Police investigated a threat made by a Forestview Middle School student Wednesday night. The situation gained online attention after a parent’s Facebook post Wednesday night on a Crow Wing County community page said a Forestview student had shown other students a gun collection over Google Meets and said he was going to bring them to school the following day. Shortly before 11pm Wednesday, Laine Larson, Brainerd Public Schools superintendent, released statement to school district families that Baxter police investigated the situation and found no credible threats to students or staff at the school. The school went with normal school times and sessions Thursday though the Baxter Police Department were on hand to provide any assistance that might have been needed. But again they found that the threat was not credible to the school.

--Crow Wing County Sheriff Scott Goddard received a report of a fish house broken into on North Long Lake in Brainerd. One fish house was broken into and another had been tampered with but not broken into. Deputies were still in contact with the owners to see if any items were broken or taken and when they last used the fish house to verify when the break in may have occurred. The other fish house owner contacted the sheriff's office on Wednesday morning. Sheriff Goddard reminds fish house owners and neighbors to report any suspicious activity on the lakes as in many cases these break ins go unreported and when stolen items are found the sheriff's office are not sure who they belong too and many are not returned.
