--Little Falls City Administrator Jon Radermacher was on KLTF yesterday and stated that road work on 4th Street project will start in July and then Circle Drive and 14th Street will also begin or have started already. The 11th Street Project is near its end and they hope to have 11th Street should be open by sometime next week. Radermacher said they are still waiting on the state legislature to amend the request that the city put in back in 2018 for a local option sales tax, if they do not amend this it is likely that the local option sales tax might not be in the November ballot. They need this to move forward at this time and only a special session to pass this amendment would make it happen. Jon stated that when the county passed their sale tax increase it brought in the revenue needed to help with county road projects, business support and other items. The hope is the same for the city to help with projects like the community center, child care facility, housing projects and more. They are also still waiting on the bridge project which was discussed on moving the bridge away from the tracks which they asked for transportation bonds which is only in the preliminary stages and will take a minimum of 18 months to 2 years to finish the first step on the possible moving of the bridge and rail grade operations. Radermacher is glad to see the parks being used for plays, events, music shows in the days and weeks ahead and the park crews are out preparing those for the items ahead. Businesses like Lake Shirts and Wabash have asked for expansion on trying to bring in more jobs to the area and the city is still working on find ways to get the small businesses with the bigger ones into Little Falls.
