NEWS
--Thank you to all who attended Ladies Night Out Little Falls Style last night. We had 100 in attendance and gave away several thousand dollars worth of prizes. Cindy Sahr of Little Falls won the grand prize Diamond Stud Earrings. Our next Ladies Night Out will be in Pierz in the spring. Photos of the event are online at fallsradio.com.

--A 40-year old Cold Spring woman is facing third degree felony charges on suspicion of hitting a man while he was driving and biting his finger. Lisa Jean Tobish was arrested Monday after a man told authorities Tobish repeatedly struck him in the face during an argument while he was driving on Minnesota Highway 23 in Waite Park. The man said when he tried to stop Tobish from hitting him, she bit his finger. The man said he pulled the vehicle off the road and tried to make a phone call but Tobish threw the phone into the ditch. The man said he then left on foot and went to a relative's residence nearby. After speaking to law enforcement, the man was taken to the hospital and received stitches on his finger. He also reported suffering a concussion. Tobish was released on a $25,000 bond without conditions and a $10,000 bond with conditions that include not entering the man's residence. Her next court date is November 1st.

--Motorists who travel Highway 71 between Interstate 94 and Ash Avenue North in Sauk Centre will encounter road crews, heavy equipment and potential delays while segments of the road are reduced to a single lane beginning Monday. The lane closures will occur from sunrise to sunset, up to seven days per week, while crews resurface the road. All lanes of Highway 71 through Sauk Centre are scheduled to open by Monday, November 5th.

--A St. Cloud man who was involved in a drug ring which brought large amounts of methamphetamine to the St. Cloud area has been sentenced to 20 years in prison. 39-year old Mauricid Barragan had earlier pleaded guilty to two counts of 1st degree sale of methamphetamine of more than 10 grams within a 90 day period and one count of importing drugs across state lines. The charges stemmed from a three year investigation into an ongoing conspiracy to sell large amounts of methamphetamine in central Minnesota. Investigators say they seized approximately 44 pounds of methamphetamine from drug dealers who delivered and sold multiple pounds of methamphetamine on a routine and repeated basis. The distribution network originated in Mexico and brought meth from states like California, Colorado, Texas and Washington. Several other defendants have either been charged or sentenced for their roles in the drug ring.

--Authorities were called to the scene of an assault with a gun in Eden Valley Wednesday. The incident happened just before 12:30pm at a home in the 34000 block of 617th Avenue. Meeker County Sheriff Brian Cruze says the victim told authorities his adult son took his gun away from him and threw the victim to the ground. The son then put the gun to the victim's neck and pulled the trigger. However, authorities say the gun jammed and didn't fire. The victim received minor injuries and didn't need to be treated for them. The son is identified as 55-year-old Timothy Scholtes, of Eden Valley. Scholtes left the scene before police arrived. He was later found and arrested. Scholtes is being held in the Meeker County Jail awaiting charges.

--Wright County Sheriff's Office personnel are searching for 19-year old Matthew Kiernan of Montrose who was last seen October 23rd. The family is concerned for his welfare after recent events that had occurred. Matthew is a 5'9” 130 pounds, brown eyes, black hair, and an Asian male. He usually wears glasses but reportedly did not have them with him. He drives a 2001 Suburban with Minnesota license plate BVA-256. --National Prescription Drug Take Back Event is Saturday from 10am to 2pm at Coborn's Marketplace, drop off any unwanted or unused prescriptions free of charge at the event on Saturday from 10-2.

TWINS= The Minnesota Twins announced Rocco Baldelli as their 14th manager in club history. Baldelli, 37 was the Tampa Bay field coordinator last year and their first base coach. He played for Boston and Tampa Bay as an outfielder from 2003-2010. Baldelli replaces Paul Molitor who was relieved of his duties as manager just 2 days after the regular season ended. 
HS VB= Little Falls, Pierz, Holdingford and Upsala eliminated in first round of volleyball playoffs last night. Swanville won and will face Royalton tonight, Foley also advanced into the second round. 
COL FB= Indiana at Gophers tonight 6pm on AM960 KLTF. 
HS FB= Aitkin at Royalton Saturday 1pm on Q92 WYRQ. 
HS FB= Melrose Area at Pierz Saturday 7pm on FM94 KFML.
NFL= Vikings host Saints Sunday night, this will be the third game of a triple header Sunday on AM960 KLTF.
