--Tim Sumner informed Little Falls Radio on Thursday that they have received about 25 volunteers so far for the Community Thanksgiving Meal on November 23rd at the Falls Ballroom this year. They can use some more or if you want to make a donation to the event call him at 320-632-2540. This year there will be some changes, the event will be planned from 11am-1pm on Thanksgiving, all are welcome to come to the Ballroom enter, you will be seated by volunteers and all the food will be served to you from the volunteers at the tables. Those needing rides can call Sumner to see if they can work that out. There will be live music at the event and they are asking if any singers or piano players want to take part also to call Sumner. They are asking that all who can please come to the event, if there are shut ins or those you cannot physically attend the event to call and they can work out a drop off but only in case of being unable to walk into the Ballroom for that type of the drop off for Thanksgiving. More details will be released at a later date, questions 632-2540.

--A Big Lake man was hurt when a pickup struck him while riding his bike Thursday morning. The Minnesota State Patrol says 19-year-old Brian Nyland was biking north on Eagle Lake Road in Big Lake at about 6:30am when the crash happened. The patrol says a pickup driven by 48-year-old Joshua Johnson was heading east on Eagle Lake Road and went to turn onto eastbound on Highway 10 and struck Nyland. Nyland was brought to Princeton Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

--A reminder that the DEA Drug Take Back Event is on Saturday at the Little Falls Wal-Mart from 10am-2pm. All are welcome to come and drop off unused and unwanted prescription drugs on Saturday.

--Sartell Police are reporting vehicle break-ins. Police say on 205th Avenue East vehicle tampering took place. A man was seen on surveillance video going through multiple vehicles between 2am-3am on Wednesday morning. Most vehicles didn't have much stolen except one had a Ruger Security 9-millimeter clip with bullets in it taken along with an extension cord and battery charger. Sartell Police are also reporting property damage on 17th Street South where a mail box was damaged during the night. Sartell Police is also reporting a theft from vehicle at the Sauk Regional Park at about 2 in the afternoon where a vehicle had a rear passenger window shattered and 2 purses where taken. If you have information contact Sartell Police or the Benton County Sheriff Office, to aid in the cases.

--The final of the 5 law enforcement officers shot by a Benton County man earlier this month has been released from the hospital. Three of the five were released the same day, another a few days later. The final of the five officers an Elk River police officer was released this past Tuesday from his injuries. The suspect Karl Holmberg was shot in the foot during the altercation, released and taken to Benton County Jail on multiple charges of attempted first degree murder.

--Many weekend events including Octoberfest music today at Horizon Health in Pierz 1:30-3pm with German Polka Music, costumes and fun, Trail of Treats and Halloween Fun Saturday at Smokey Timbers in Miltona, Lutefisk dinner at Trinity Lutheran Church of Milaca Saturday, turkey bingo Sunday afternoon at 1:30pm at Holy Cross in Harding and then Sunday night at St. Mary's in Upsala at 7pm. Sacred Heart of Staples has their Chicken and Pork dinner 10:30-1pm Sunday then bazaar at the school with many items on Sunday in Staples. More events found at fallsradio.com on community calendar.

--On Sunday the Morrison County Sheriff's Office received a theft complaint from a property located off 370th Avenue, in northeast Morrison County. A 2021 black 18’ enclosed trailer was stolen with a 2018 Argo 500XR ATV inside of it. The trailer has orange and red “Marv’s Trailer’s” stickers on the back door and side. The ATV is orange with lighted handlebar protectors, a brush guard and a soft sided black bag on the back rack. The theft happened between September 17th, 2023 and October 22nd, 2023. --One person was hurt in a three-vehicle crash in Stearns County Thursday. The Minnesota State Patrol says a pickup and a semi were eastbound on Interstate 94 near St. Augusta when a Jeep Wrangler was entering eastbound I-94 from County Road 75. The patrol says around 10am, as the Jeep went to merge, it lost traction, spun out, and was hit by the pickup and then the semi. The driver of the Jeep, 30-year-old Joshua Kenning of St. Cloud was taken to St. Cloud Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Two people from North Dakota in the pickup, 40-year-old Shawn Eggermont of Galesburg, North Dakota, and 31-year-old Alyson Martin of Kindred, North Dakota were not hurt. The semi driver, 66-year-old Rick Sellman from North Branch was not hurt either. The patrol says the roadway was wet and there was an unknown fluid spill on the ramp.

--Minnesota Governor Tim Walz has ordered all U.S. and state flags at government buildings to be flown at half-staff in honor of the victims of the shooting in Lewiston, Maine. Governor Walz expressed his condolences in a statement: Lewiston, Maine is a little smaller than Mankato, Minnesota. I can’t imagine the impact a mass shooting will have on that community. My office has offered Maine any resources they need, and Minnesotans offer our heartfelt condolences as Mainers grapple with our country’s latest violent, senseless tragedy. Individuals and businesses are encouraged to do the same through sunset on Monday, October 30th.
