--Four tornado warnings were issued for Morrison County last evening starting just after 5:30pm until after 7:30pm. Areas from Swanville to Sobieski, Randall to Camp Ripley, Lastrup, southeast of Pierz to Buckman, Lakin and Morrill were affected in these warnings. In Little Falls during this time a few showers but nothing severe, later in the overnight Little Falls Airport had 1.25 inches of rain. Many pictures and reports of severe weather were posted on websites and social media from Thursday night as hail the size of ping pong and tennis balls northeast of Little Falls, strong winds and there were spotted wall clouds and funnel clouds across the county. A wall cloud was seen east of Little Falls and another shared video of a funnel that nearly reached the ground near Lastrup. Many tornado warnings were issued around the county on Thursday evening but the National Weather Service had not confirmed any tornado touchdowns.

--A man was hurt in a single-vehicle rollover in Morrison County. The Minnesota State Patrol says it happened just after 9pm Thursday on westbound Highway 10 near Randall. 35-five-year-old Timothy Lehmeyer of Wayzata was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. He was taken to St. Gabriel's Hospital in Little Falls with non-life-threatening injuries.

--The Little Falls Police Department reported over the Arts and Crafts weekend, a few thefts and burglaries that were investigated, suspicious activity reports and parking violations but in all most was on the up and up for the big weekend. Police stated they took reports of vandalism of items, some theft reports, suspicious activity and medical reports. Authorities are asking motorists to watch their speeds coming in and through Little Falls as speeding citations have been up over the past few weeks through their department and also with the local sheriff's office and state patrol troopers on the roads. Also the Little Falls Police Department announced Thursday they now have a 24 hour drop off for prescription drugs. Just come into the breezeway and you can drop off your pill bottles in their secure drop off bin. This can be done anytime day or night to dispose of prescription drugs that may be unused or unwanted to keep from getting in the wrong hands.

--All community members are welcome to the next Coffee With a Cop event on Wednesday, October 6th from 8:30-9:30am at the Little Falls Area Chamber of Commerce building (Cass Gilbert Depot). Join them for coffee and conversation. It’s a great opportunity to talk with local Law Enforcement and their community partners about current interests and concerns. Some topics for discussion will include substance abuse prevention, traffic safety, and other resources.

--A fugitive from Indiana was found and arrested in St. Cloud Wednesday. St. Cloud Police's Community Response Team and St. Cloud SWAT served a search warrant at a residence in the 2000 block of 27th Street Southeast. It was part of an ongoing investigation to locate 40-year old Marcus Rollins of Michigan City, Indiana. Officers served the warrant and arrested Rollins without incident at around 7:45pm. He was taken to the Sherburne County Jail to await extradition back to Laporte County, Indiana. Rollins has three active Indiana arrest warrants for rape, incest, and criminal confinement.

--Aaron Olson of Kinship of Morrison County wants to remind the area that they moved their Kinship Soup and Chili Cookoff this year to October 12th. All proceeds go to support Kinship’s youth mentoring program. Tickets sold at the Falls Ballroom at the event.

--This may be one of the busiest weekends of the entire summer on the last official weekend of summer as Autumn begins next Wednesday. Albany Pioneer Days today, Saturday and Sunday with parade of tractors, garden tractor pull, wild west show and more in Albany, a spaghetti supper at Immanuel Lutheran Church near Hillman tonight, Man vs. Beast Rodeo Saturday and Sunday at the Morrison County Fairgrounds starting both days at 4pm but Jill from the Rodeo on KLTF yesterday said gates open around noon and there are plenty of items to take in through the afternoon before both of the rodeos start. Sunday there is the Church Bazaar in Buckman with a day of events, a Fall Fest Church Bazaar type event at Holy Family-Belle Prairie with music and item through the day both of those end with the large raffles. Camp Ripley has their bienniel open house Sunday 10am-2pm at the military base north of Little Falls. A performance of Arla Mae's Booyah Wagon a group from the Long Prairie area putting on a play at 3pm at LeBourget Park where there will also be food trucks and other items for young and old for an afternoon of fun starting at 1pm at LeBourget Park in Little Falls. A breakfast Sunday morning north of Hillman as a fund raiser. There are other city and local functions this weekend in a number of other cities from Stearns, Benton, Mille Lacs and Crow Wing County also to check out and enjoy this weekend. --Another sign of fall is homecoming games and coronation and Pierz recently announced their Homecoming court and their coronation will be Monday at 2:45pm at the MAC with many events planned throughout the week leading to the football game next Friday night. The coronation court in Pierz includes Maddie Andrea, Brenna Dickmann, Jetta Boser, Katie Leidenfrost and Kiara Olesch for Queen and for King, Lance Otremba, Ben Virnig, Louis Gruber, Andy Winscher and Frank Tomberlin. Royalton High School announced that they are having coronation for homecoming this Sunday at 5:45pm, according to their website this will be an online event for the school Sunday and can be viewed from the schools Facebook page.

--Aaron Olson informed Little Falls Radio Thursday that due to reasons beyond the control of the organizers, the Kids Day event scheduled for next weekend has been cancelled for this year.

--The Morrison County Historical Society will be closed during the month of October to allow the installation of a new HVAC system. Staff may still be reached by calling 320-632-4007.
