NEWS
--The Little Falls Arts and Crafts Fair, West Little Falls Antiques and Collectibles Show starts tomorrow from 8-6 and Sunday 9-4. The Arts and Crafts will be take up the downtown area over by the bridge and then the Marketplace fair on the west side of Little Falls to Lindbergh Drive. There will be plenty of food items, and many local businesses will also be open to show of their items too on Saturday. The West Little Falls Antiques and Collectibles are at LeBourget Park on Saturday and Sunday. Sunday also is the Lone Eagle Auto Club Car Show and Swap Meet from 7am-2pm on Sunday. $5 to view the classic cars, breakfast and lunch available and many showing off their items at the fairgrounds on Sunday. There is a free shuttle bus both Saturday and Sunday too and from the fairgrounds to the event it starts one hour before and goes until one hour after the event hours. A reminder that there is road construction in Little Falls and 4th Street Southeast is closed completely to parking and 3rd Street Southeast is narrowed to only one side of parking. Please follow the road work signs, stop signs as many are posted in areas where they were not before construction began. Deb Boelz stated yesterday the written directories are available at the Chamber Depot office and at other businesses around Little Falls including Little Falls Radio offices.

--One person was injured in a 4 vehicle accident in Todd County Thursday afternoon. A semi truck at 1:18pm at northbound on Highway 71 in Stowe Prairie Township when it collided with a parked freight truck which caused a chain reaction striking two more vehicles. 56-year-old Brenda Middendorf of Sauk Centre who was one of the vehicles in the chain reaction was taken to an area hospital with non life threatening injuries. No one else was injured.

--A Michigan man was arrested Tuesday night following a road rage incident near Avon. The incident happened at around 7:40pm along Interstate 94 between St. Joseph and Avon. The Stearns County Sheriff's Office says a caller told them another driver fired a gun at his vehicle, striking him. Authorities met with the victim at his house and found he had a gunshot wound to the tip of his nose. Multiple authorities from St. Joseph, Albany, Avon and the State Patrol continue to look for the driver who fired the shot. The suspect's vehicle was found near the Melrose exit. Police arrested 23-year-old Shannon Woods from Inkster, Michigan. Authorities say a driving dispute took place between Woods and the victim, when Wood allegedly fired a handgun at the victims vehicle. Woods was booked into the Stearns County Jail on second degree assault charges.

--A St. Cloud man was arrested after leading police on a chase through several communities early Wednesday morning. Waite Park police were called to the 400 block of 4th Street North just after midnight on reports of a burglary in-progress. When officers arrive, the suspect drove off heading toward St. Joseph. St. Joseph police tried to slow down the vehicle with stop sticks on Country Road 75, however the tires did not pop. The chase continued through St. Joseph and out on to I-94, when the driver took the exit for St. John's University. The suspect then drove into a private driveway in Collegeville Township, struck the side of the house with the vehicle and fled into a nearby corn field. Authorities set up a perimeter and the with the help of a State Patrol Helicopter, found the suspect. Arrested was 56-year-old Patrick Pribyl. He was taken to St. Cloud Hospital for evaluation before being booked into the Stearns County Jail. Pribyl faces multiple charges including fleeing police, possession of burglary tools, possession of stolen property, and DWI.

--The Little Falls Fire Department is searching for paid on call firefighters. If you are looking to find a way to serve your community and interested in becoming a firefighter, applications can be picked up at Little Falls City Hall during business hours or by going to the City of Little Falls website and go to employment. There are requirements that you must live within 15 minutes of the fire hall, have a valid driver license, must be over 18 and have a high school diploma. There are benefits with pay for the firefighters. Fire Chief Craig Seelen did state that all candidates will have to pass a criminal background check and meet all physical requirements before becoming and trained into being an on call firefighter in Little Falls. --The Minnesota Military Museum inside Camp Ripley is scheduled to have a briefing at a reception and mission briefing on September 14th at 7pm in Arden Hills and available via u-tube channel to hear the latest on the museum and the unveiling of the new facility being built off of Highway 371 scheduled to open in 2025. More information can be obtained on the Military Museum website.

--A 58-year-old Brainerd man was injured Tuesday after his vehicle rear-ended a truck on Highway 18 in Crow Wing County. The Minnesota State Patrol responded to the crash reported at 9:18pm in Bay Lake Township, northwest of Garrison. According to the report, a 2008 Kia Sorento was westbound on the highway when it rear-ended a 1991 Chevrolet Kodiak truck, which was turning into a driveway west of Maghan Road. The driver of the Kia, Daniel Joel Bisek, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Essentia Health-St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Brainerd. Truck driver Luke Benjamin Magness, 36, of Deerwood, suffered no reported injuries. The state patrol reported the road was dry at the time.

WORLD NEWS
--Queen Elizabeth II has died at age 96. The Queen was in poor health and family members came to her side in Scotland yesterday. Queen Elizabeth II is the longest monarch of the British Crown lasting over 70 years since coronation in 1952. Prince Charles will now become Queen of England, taking the named King Charles III in a procession today though a coronation ceremony will be at later time.
