--38-year-old Patrick Henry Krebs of Little Falls, was charged in Morrison County District Court with one felony count of third degree sale of a controlled substance, heroin and methamphetamine. According to the criminal complaint, in March, a confidential informant (CI) contacted an investigator with the Central Minnesota Violent Offender Task Force to report they could purchase methamphetamine from Krebs, who it was determined lived in Little Falls. The investigator met with the CI and provided buy money for the informant to purchase drugs from Krebs. Task force members observed the CI going into Krebs’ residence and exiting a short time later, according to the complaint. The CI later met up with the investigator and turned over a quantity of a controlled substance that allegedly appeared to be methamphetamine and another that allegedly appeared to be heroin. The CI told the investigator they had purchased the narcotics from Krebs while inside the residence. According to the complaint, the substance that appeared to be methamphetamine field-tested positive for methamphetamine. The complaint does not confirm whether the other substance was heroin. If convicted, Krebs faces a maximum penalty of 20 years imprisonment and/or a fine of up to $250,000.

--The Minnesota Crime Alert Network on Friday stated that the 14-year-old Cienna Pittman has been located safe. The Benson teenager had been missing since last Tuesday and an alert was sent out Thursday for her. She was located and found safe according to Benson Police late Thursday.

--The two men found with over 200 grams of meth in a traffic stop earlier this year in Motley have been charged in Morrison County District Court. Alejandro Abreo Vega, 43, St. Paul, and Ronald Duwayne Cournoyer, 49, Cass Lake were one felony county of first degree possession of methamphetamine. According to the criminal complaint, on January 17th, a trooper with the Minnesota State Patrol was on routine patrol in Motley when he observed a vehicle pass him with illegally dark tint. The trooper followed the suspect vehicle until it pulled into a gas station parking lot, at which time the trooper pulled behind the vehicle and identified the driver as Cournoyer and the passenger as Vega. The trooper noted in the report that he detected the odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. He also saw “marijuana debris” in plain view in the passenger compartment. The trooper opened a bag and found what appeared to be approximately one-half pound of methamphetamine. The substance later field-tested positive for methamphetamine and weighed 206 grams. If convicted, both Vega and Cournoyer face a maximum penalty of 30 years imprisonment and/or a fine of up to $1 million.

--Morrison County website reported 203 active cases on Friday in the county of COVID-19. Pierz zip code at 66 but that number has dropped from the previous week, Little Falls has gone up a bit to 61 cases on Friday, Royalton at 26 cases and Randall and Hillman have seen numbers go up a bit both at 13 cases on Friday.

--Pierz Healy High School announced its top 10 honor students for the graduating class of 2021. They are Kaylee Becker, Ellie Fischer, Alissa Girtz, Emily Herold, Kloe Kapsner, Courtney Kroll, Brekanda Lashinski, Madison Poster, Emily Sadlovsky and Landon Schomer. Graduation ceremonies at Pierz Healy High School are set for Friday, May 28th in the MAC in Pierz pending any changes to restrictions.

--A Flood Warning has been issued for Crow Wing and Aitkin County along the Mississippi River with high water from recent snow melts and rains. The flood warning continues through Wednesday and could be extended if more moisture comes back into the forecast. Water is high around the dam in Little Falls as on Friday the water was over the banks and concrete slaps at Maple Island Park.

--Authorities are asking for you help in finding a missing St. Cloud woman. St. Cloud Police says 35-year-old Alicia Lewis was last seen on Monday and has not been heard from since. Her family and friends are worried about her welfare. Lewis is described as 5' 3" tall, about 150 pounds with dark blonde hair and blue eyes, usually wearing glasses. Anyone with information about her whereabouts is asked to call the St. Cloud Police Department or your local police.

--Two members of the National Guard were injured early Sunday after an SUV fired shots at them in Minneapolis. The injuries were not life threatening. An investigative unit is looking into the incident.

--Newport Healthcare announced this week that they had bought the St. Cloud Children's Home from the Catholic Diocese of St. Cloud late last year and was in the process of renovating it when their plans were put on hold because of the fire earlier this month. They announced Wednesday that the timeline for opening moving forward is to be determined. Given the size of the campus, there may be an opportunity to open a portion on or near the timeline in the next few weeks but they are still working through that. The fire on April 7th was contained to just the one building, but they are still assessing the damage. An investigation is still underway to determine the cause of the fire. Their plan is to operate 60 adolescent residential treatment beds there for teens who are experiencing mental health issues. As many as 30 boys and 30 girls will live there at any given time and stay on average between 40 and 90 days.

--Governor Tim Walz has ordered flags to be flown at half-staff through sunset tomorrow in remembrance of the lives lost in the recent mass shooting incident in Indianapolis. Also Governor Walz ordered flags at half staff today on the 19th as the 19th of the month to remember those who have died of COVID-19 in Minnesota.

SPORTS
TWINS= Twins get pounded in the late innings Friday and lose to the Angels 10-3. Due to COVID-19 protocols after too many inconclusive tests occurred on Saturday the Twins and Angels postponed their games on Saturday and Sunday so that the Twins could continue with proper testing before resuming games. Late yesterday the organization announced they have postponed the game tonight with Oakland and if the tests are returned today all negative then they will play a double-header Tuesday in Oakland. But again there was no game Saturday, Sunday or today on Q92 WYRQ.
