--Congratulations to Pat Oldakowski who found the Pierz Oktoberfest Medallion Saturday morning just after the 6am clues were read on Little Falls Radio and posted on the Pierz Oktoberfest Facebook page. Oldakowski found the medallion in a crevice in the retaining wall, wrapped in newspaper and painted gray kiddie corner from Red's Auto and Bait north of the Catholic Church. Pat wins the $500 in Pierz Bucks to be used at Pierz area businesses.

--The Morrison County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a 1985 Honda 200X 3-wheeler, red in color with a photo on the Morrison County Sheriff's Office facebook page that has also been shared to the Little Falls Radio facebook page. The 3-wheeler was taken on Wednesday between 9:00am and 10:30am from an abandoned property approximately 10 miles north of Little Falls in Ripley Township. Anyone with information regarding this theft is asked to call the Sheriff's office at (320) 632-9233.

--An Avon man died as a result of a vehicle crash Thursday night. At 7:26pm Thursday Stearns County authorities responded to a two-vehicle crash near the address of 42363 190th Avenue in Holding Township about 1.5 miles northwest of Holdingford. The caller reported that one of the vehicles was on fire and the other car was nearby with the driver trapped inside and not responding. The Holdingford Fire Department responded to the scene and began life-saving efforts. Deputies arrived and spoke with witnesses on scene. Deputies determined that 21-year old Jacob Westbrock of Holdingford was traveling north on 190th Avenue. Westbrock attempted to pass another vehicle that was also traveling northbound. A separate vehicle heading south on 190th Avenue was driven by 33-year old Russell Heitzman of Avon. The vehicles collided on 190th Avenue near the crest of the hill. Heitzman was pronounced deceased at the scene. Westbrock was transported to the St Cloud Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. The accident remains under investigation.

--Two men have been arrested after allegedly leading deputies on a chase into Meeker County. The Sheriff's Office says at about 9pm Thursday they received a call about a driving complaint. The vehicle was eastbound in Kandiyohi County on Highway 12 and was reportedly speeding, driving in and out of the ditch, and driving without headlights on. A Kandiyohi County deputy spotted the vehicle just into Meeker County and tried to stop it. The driver didn't stop and the chase began. The driver drove into the ditch and he and the passenger then tried to run but both were caught. The driver was 27-year-old Luiz Giron-Catellannos of Benson and the passenger was 30-year-old Byron Moreno-Barahona. The pursuit lasted about seven miles and reached speeds in excess of 90 miles an hour. A third passenger in the vehicle was not charged.

--Catholic Churches continue to hold raffles this year but without the large events as in years past. Holy Cross Church in Harding will have their grand raffle drawing on Sunday, September 6th at 5pm. They will be selling tickets leading up to the raffle drawing on Sunday at the Grand Raffle Ticket Booth from 12 noon-4:30pm at the Harding Bus Garage near the church. Due to restrictions no other events will be held in Harding this year. St. Mary's Catholic Church in Little Falls will also be doing a cash raffle on Sunday, tickets can still be purchased this week, with the drawing live streamed on Sunday at St. Mary's in Little Falls, for info call 632-5640. Holy Family-Belle Prairie also as a raffle drawing scheduled later in September.

--The annual Kids’ Day at the Morrison County Fairgrounds in Little Falls has been canceled for 2020. This event is normally sponsored by local agencies, clubs, groups, individuals and churches who are interested in the well-being of the children in Morrison County. Their support is appreciated and organizers look forward to offering Kids’ Day back in 2021 and for future years, but again cancelled this year.

--Crow Wing County Sheriff Goddard is asking for the publics help in locating 30-year old Larry Duane Lucas Jr. There is a warrant for his arrest for theft of a motor vehicle and he is a suspect in multiple other thefts around Crow Wing County. If you know of his whereabouts, please call law enforcement.

--Men from Brainerd and Staples are among four defendants federally indicted with conspiracy to commit arson for their alleged roles in burning the Minneapolis Police Department’s Third Precinct building during the May 28 riots following the murder of George Floyd. U.S. Dylan Shakespeare Robinson, 22, Brainerd; David De-Andre Turner, 24, St. Paul; Byrce Michael Williams, 26, Staples; and Branden Michael Wolfe, 23, St. Paul, were all charged on August 25th with one count each of conspiracy to commit arson at the Minneapolis police building. Robinson and Wolfe were previously charged via federal criminal complaint with aiding and abetting arson. Williams was previously charged via criminal complaint with conspiracy to commit arson. Formal detention and arraignment hearings will be scheduled at a later date, the news release stated.

--Two people were hurt in a crash in Cold Spring Saturday morning. The incident happened shortly before 9:00 a.m. on Highway 23 at Main Street East. The Minnesota State Patrol says a car and a truck were both going east on Highway 23. Authorities say the truck slowed for a yellow light and was rear-ended by the car. The driver of car, 30-year-old Laura Morales of Willmar, was taken to St. Cloud Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The State Patrol says the driver of the truck, 57-year-old Roger Schlangen of Cold Spring, also suffered injuries but was not taken to the hospital.

--One new COVID-19 case Saturday and one Sunday in Morrison County making the number now 114 cases since testing began.

CLASS C= Bluffton eliminates Randall Saturday 11-0 in 7 innings at the State Tournament in Milroy. Buckman battled back to have the tying run in the bottom of the 9th at the plate but was not enough as Cold Spring held on to a 12-8 win eliminating the Billygoats thus ending the Region 8C teams run at the state tournament.
TWINS= Twins rained out on Friday, Tigers rocked the Twins in game 1 of a double-header Saturday 8-2 though Nelson Cruz did hit his 12th homer of the season, Tigers also won the second game on Saturday 4-2 over Twins. Tigers beat Twins again 3-2 on Sunday. Twins host White Sox tonight, 6:30pm pregame on Q92 WYRQ.
