--The Morrison County Sheriff's Office stated that if you are a resident from Randall or the area townships affected recently by the flooding there will be a one stop resource center in Randall 4-8pm today at Dr. S.G. Knight Elementary School. At this event members for the American Red Cross, Salvation Army, Lutheran Social Services, Initiative Foundation, Headwaters Relief, Morrison County Emergency Management, Social Services and other groups will be on hand to answer questions, concerns, help with clean up kits and other items. If you are unable to attend and need assistance there is 24/7 hotline for the Red Cross at 1-844-292-7677.

--Kathy Marshik from Morrison County Veterans Service Office stated Friday on KLTF that bonus checks are now being processed online for the Post 9-11 Veterans Service Bonus. The Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs is stating if you are a veteran from September 11, 2001 to August 30, 2021 and a Minnesota resident can qualify for the bonus checks online. Also if you had a loved one who died in combat during the may time period, your family is also eligible for that bonus. There is a $600 bonus for current members, $1,200 for Veterans who served during the past twenty years and no longer in service and the Gold Star bonus for those who have died to be given to spouses or families is $2,000. You will have to go to the Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs website, then click on Global War on Terrorism Bonus on their website. All has to be filled online for this bonus. If you need assistance to help with the process call 320-632-0290. There is no big rush as the bonus application started last week and you have until June 30, 2024. Marshik also made the announcement that she will be leaving the Morrison County Veterans Service Office officially on August 2nd to take a position with the Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs to train and mentor people into the jobs that she currently had been doing in Morrison County. Marshik on another note wanted to thank all the support for the Bank Square Plaza building downtown that she is helping with Mack from Texas who bought the site. They have some more plans for events later this year and right now thanks for the patience as the sidewalk will be closed around the building area for the next month as work is being done to make it better and safer facility for renters and visitors.

--On Saturday the President has approved Governor Walz's request for a major disaster declaration for 23 counties impacted by tornadoes, flooding, and storms in early May. The damage is estimated to be nearly $11 million from just the May storms another declaration was also assessed from storms in June. Funding was approved for Aitkin, Big Stone, Cass, Chippewa, Cottonwood, Douglas, Grant, Kandiyohi, Lac qui Parle, Lincoln, Morrison, Nobles, Pope, Redwood, Renville, Stearns, Stevens, Swift, Todd, Traverse, Wadena, Wilkin, and Yellow Medicine Counties. This federal disaster declaration unlocks public assistance for 23 counties to assist with emergency work and the repair or replacement of disaster-damaged facilities. The Governor has also requested assistance for two other weather-related events in recent weeks, including a disaster declaration request for federal assistance for ongoing flooding in Northwestern Minnesota which includes the Randall area and an extension for the timeline to request support for a Memorial Day tornado outbreak that caused significant damage in 20 counties.

--Little Falls City Administrator Jon Radermacher will be the guest today on KLTF at 8:30am to discuss city projects and items from the city of Little Falls on what is next and what's being done now.

--A fatal accident with also serious injuries occurred at 9:24am Saturday on Highway 371 in Pequot Lakes of Crow Wing County. 56-year-old Joseph Benson of Nevis was northbound on 371 when a vehicle pulled out in front of it coming from County Road 107 driven by 88-year-old Anita Haller of St. Cloud. Haller was dead at the scene. Her passenger 21-year-old Tyler Haller of Phoenix, Arizona reportedly had critical life threatening injuries and was flown to a Duluth Hospital. The other driver Benson had non life threatening injuries and treated in Brainerd. One passenger from Cass Lake had no apparent injuries. A second passenger, 40-year-old David LeDoux of North Dakota had was state patrol said was serious life threatening injuries and flown also to the Duluth Hospital for treatment.

--The Todd County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a crash that killed a motorcyclist Saturday afternoon. The incident happened just after 5opm at the intersection of County Road 11 and County Road 93 in Long Prairie. A pickup truck was going east on County Road 93 when it failed to yield to a motorcycle heading south on County Road 11.
The driver of the motorcycle, John Terfehr, died at the scene. The driver of the truck, James Leroux, was not hurt.

–A 56-year-old Brainerd man was injured Saturday at 2:25pm in Yellow Medicine County. Douglas Eide was riding a motorcycle on Highway 23 in Sandnes Township when it left the roadway and struck the ditch. Eide was taken to the Marshall Hospital for his injuries.

--Stearns County Sheriff's Office reported that at 6:37am Thursday, a two-vehicle crash with injuries happened at the intersection of County Road 3 and County Road 5 in Brockway Township. Further investigation revealed that Jeffrey Kaeter, 35, of Rice was driving westbound on County Road 5 when he failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with a vehicle that was traveling southbound on County Road 3 driven by Ethan Hennix, 21, of Oak Park. Hennix was transported to the St. Cloud Hospital for treatment of serious injuries sustained in the crash. There was no report if the other driver was injured by the sheriff's department.

TWINS=Texas scores 6 in the 5th inning which is all they needed to beat the Twins Friday 6-5. Miranda and Sanchez go deep Saturday but another blown save opportunity as Rangers win 9-7 over Twins. Twins do manage to salvage a game Sunday winning 6-5. The Twins are off today, home against Brewers Tuesday night.
WNBA= Sylvia Fowles had a slam dunk in her last WNBA All Star Game but her Team Stewart lost to Team Wilson 134-112.
