NEWS
--The Morrison County Sheriff’s Office reported an accident Thursday night around 10:10pm near the intersection of 153rd Street and 235th in Buh Township about 3 miles west of Pierz. 39-year-old Roger Bleichner of Pierz, MN was traveling west on 153rd Street. Bleichner’s vehicle left the roadway and hit a road approach launching the vehicle into the air and rolling onto its roof. Bleichner was transported to St. Cloud Hospital with serious injuries.

--At least one person is dead after a freightliner truck collided with a car head-on on Highway 12 near Irondale in Crow Wing County Friday night around 7:15pm. The driver of the car was dead at the scene. The truck driver had injuries sustained. No other information has been released by the State Patrol.

--Accidents again are a plenty on Minnesota roadways, 2 people were hurt Friday in an accident in Benton County, another accident in that county near Rice injured one at the stop lights after a chain reaction of cars struck each other when the light changed. There were also accidents reported in Morrison, Crow Wing, Cass and Stearns Friday into Saturday and many due ot speed and distracted driving according to law enforcement reminding motorists to slow down and pay attention when traveling on roadways and put down the phone.

--Three people were arrested after a drug bust in Stearns County Thursday. Investigators say they received information drugs were being sold from a home in the 32000 block of River Oaks Lane in Le Sauk Township. Authorities used a search warrant and found 21-year-old Sidney Davis of Waite Park, 33-year-old Aaron Taylor of Englewood, Ohio and 55-year-old Frederick Liddell of Menomonie, Wisconsin inside.All three were arrested and taken to the Stearns County Jail. Davis and Taylor face charges of 2nd degree sale of a controlled substance, and Liddell faces charges of 5th degree possession of controlled substance.

--31-year-old Carrie Ann Graves of Onamia is charged with fleeing police in a motor vehicle. The charge stems from a June 1 incident, when a Morrison County Sheriff’s Deputy received word that the Mille Lacs Tribal Police were pursuing a vehicle near the eastern border of Morrison County and set up spike strips. The suspect vehicle went around the spike strips and the deputy pursued it. The suspect was allegedly driving erratically, went through stop signs and traveling at speeds over 100 mph. While the vehicle slowed down on a sharp curve, the deputy conducted a pit maneuver. The vehicle spun into a ditch, before driving out with four flat tires. The deputy conducted another pit maneuver and sent the vehicle into a ditch, before it got hung up on a road approach. The deputy ordered the occupants out at gunpoint and the driver was allegedly identified as Graves. If convicted, she could face up to three years and one day in prison and/or a $5,000 fine.

--The Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office reported on Thursday afternoon around 3pm an adult male involved in a motorcycle crash on County Road 2 in St. Mathias Township. There were no other individuals or vehicles involved. The male was then flown to North Memorial Health Hospital for his injuries. He is identified as 72 year old, Maynard James Woudsma of Merrifield. The cause of the crash is unknown and is currently under investigation.

--The Little Falls City Council meets tonight 7:30pm at City Hall with a work session to begin shortly before their regular meeting.

--The Sartell Police Department is investigating a shooting that took place outside an apartment complex Saturday morning. Shortly after 10am police were called to the 900 block of 7th Street North after a report of a man being shot in the chest while standing outside smoking. The victim went back inside to his apartment and was there when police responded. He was given first-aid on-scene and then taken to St. Cloud Hospital for treatment. Police say there is no threat to the public. They believe the shot was fired from a neighboring apartment, and have detained a suspect. Authorities have temporarily closed 7th Street North between 9th Avenue and 10th Avenue while they investigate the scene.

--Stearns County Sheriff Steve Soyka has ordered an emergency NO WAKE zone placed on all of Carnelian Lake. The lake level is very high and currently has most of the public access under water. While this may be a temporary inconvenience to watercraft users the restrictions are being enacted to prevent any further damage to the shoreline, submerged docks or lifts and to prevent injury from docks of lifts that may be obscured due to the water level. When the water recedes to an acceptable level, the restriction will be removed.

--Agram Township residents are invited to the Third Annual Township Picnic to be held on Wednesday evening June 19th at the Town Hall located on Lake Road. Residents are asked to bring a “potluck” dish to share and their beverage of choice. Hotdogs and lemonade will be provided. The event starts with gathering at 5pm and food at 6pm. The event will be held rain or shine.

--The American Red Cross has scheduled a Bloodmobile at St. Francis Convent (St. Francis Hall), Little Falls today 1-7pm, Tuesday is from 12-6pm and Wednesday is 8:30am-2:30pm. For more information or to make an appointment, contact Sister Julien at 632-0663.

BAB= Hill Murray scored 4 runs in the bottom of the 6th to come back and beat Little Falls 6-5 on Friday. The Flyers end up going 0-2 at the State Tournament this year. Foley defeated La Crescent 11-5 on Friday and then Perham in the consolation championship 6-3 to win consolation. Paynesville Area in Stearns County went 2-1 and won 3rd place in AA. Championships in all classes are on Thursday.
TWINS= Twins win 2-0 Friday night over Royals due to Mitch Garver. After retiring Joe Mauer's number Saturday, Twins down early 4-1 came back to win Saturday 5-4 over KC. Royals defeated Twins 8-6 on Sunday to take 1 game in the series. Twins open series tonight with the Boston Red Sox, pregame at 6:30pm on Q92 WYRQ.
