--The Morrison County Sheriff's Office in the past days have received calls from residents on possible scams from the recent storms involving insurance items. Some residents have even had those coming to their homes posing as insurance adjusters, they were seen taking pictures outside before talking to the residents about helping them with their insurance claims of storms. One homeowner said they did not file a claim yet and that is how they knew this was likely a scam. Also if you have filed a claim you should get a time when the adjuster will come to see you on your property and as adjustors would not just show up without notice or show up and not let you know that they are there instead of just starting to survey and take pictures. If you receive calls, or those at your residences contact your local insurance company to make sure they are legit or call the sheriff's office and in Morrison County that is 320-632-9233.

--Fire crews responded to a fire Thursday afternoon inside a building at Fort Snelling. The building is off Taylor Avenue near the Fort Snelling Upper Post Headquarters. Officials say the fire occurred at one of the old officers' buildings, where renovations were being made when they saw smoke coming from inside the roof lines. The strong winds caused what many say the interior of the building which officials said destroyed the shell of it. There were workers on the roof at the time of the fire and they all were able to evacuate the building, but said two firefighters suffered minor burns. By Thursday night the majority of the fire had been extinguished, and the construction company said crews will work to restore the shell of the building. Officials are still investigating to determine a cause.
