--On Friday, Morrison County Chaplain Gregg Valentine spoke on A960 KLTF Community Program and said that 2021 has been still a very rough year regarding mental illness and suicide and is asking for those to reach out to him if you need assistance regarding this. Valentine said that he has been very busy also being called to emergencies from accidents, deaths, suicides and is on call 24/7 and this this year he has been called out to around 100 situations in the past year. --Two women were killed Thanksgiving night at 6:21pm when their vehicle crossed the center-line and struck a pickup truck head on Higway 210 in Oak Lawn Township of Crow Wing County east of Brainerd. The pickup driver 74-year-old Robert Heggerston of Walnut Grove and his passenger 74-year-old Jeanette Heggerston of Walnut Grove were treated for non life threatening injuries at an area hospital. The other driver 19-year-old Katrina Lipp of Brainerd and her pasenger Tiffanie Rivera, age 21 of Blackduck were both pronounced dead at the scene when state troopers arrived on scene.

--A driver and two children were injured when the truck 34-year-old Crystal Ann Mason of Aitkin was driving Highway 65 in Spaulding, Township of Aitkin County around 8:45am Friday morning when the vehicle went off the road and struck the ditch. Mason was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected through the rear window sustaining life threatening injuries and was taken to a Duluth Hospital. Two children, who also were unrestrained in the vehicle, 4-year-old Anthony Barthel Jr. and 5-year-old Ryder Mason sustained non life threatening injuries and treated at the Aitkin Hospital.

--Another accident where two people were injured Thursday night at 11:06pm on Highway 210 at 395th Street in Aitkin County. The State Patrol stated that 40-year-old Victor Bellefeuille of Aitkin was on 210 when he left the highway and struck the ditch. He and his passenger 37-year-old Jerod Isaacs of Aitkin were treated to an area hospital.

--President Joe Biden is coming to Minnesota tomorrow. The White House said the President will appear in Rosemount Tuesday to talk about the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and how it help create good-paying union jobs for the people of Minnesota and the nation. At this point there is no information on the location and what time of Biden's visit. Minnesota is set to receive at least $7 billion of the $1 trillion package over the next 10 years, with $4.5 billion going to highways.

--A Minnesota man appears to have broken a 64-year-old state record. Nolan Sprengeler of Plymouth landed a muskie on Lake Mille Lacs a week ago Monday night that tipped the scales at 55 pounds, 14.8 ounces. The previous Minnesota record of 54 pounds was set back in 1957 on Lake Winnibigoshish.

--It is an extremely busy week and weekend of events as the Little Falls attractions continue with Christmas tours at Linden Hill, Rosenmeier Home, Lindbergh House and Minnesota Fishing Museum. Wednesday is St. Nick Night in Pierz with events in town and also at the Holy Trinity School/Father Pierz School of Religion. Thursday is Randall Holly-Day event with Santa at the VFW in Randall. Saturday there is a Carousel of Crafts at Little Falls Community Middle School, many churches have boutiques and craft sales, events are planned Saturday in Royalton and Upsala, the Hors'n Around Parade and events Saturday in Harding and Heartland Symphony has concerts Saturday in Little Falls and Sunday in Brainerd all later this week.

--Ho Ho Dough continues register today at participating businesses.

--A private investigating group hired by the family said the remains of a person believed to be Ashley Miller, the 33-year-old mother of 4, were found in Hinckley. Miller had been missing for more than two months and her body was found in a wooded area off Grace Lake Road in Hinckley Saturday morning. The investigating group said the body is Miller but an official autopsy is being done by the state medical examiner for identifation is determined.

--Oasis Central Minnesota in Little Falls announced they will be doing their gift wrapping fundraiser this year in December. For more details on how to get involved contact Rose at Oasis at 320-632-9140.

--Today is the deadline to get tickets for the upcoming Little Falls Madigral Dinner which is this coming Sunday at 5:30pm at the Little Falls Community Middle School commons, doors open at 5pm. Tickets can be ordered still today through the Little Falls Community High School Activities Office by calling 320-616-2207. All proceeds go to the Little Falls Concert Choir Triennial Tour.

INTERNATIONAL NEWS
--A new coronavirus variant has been detected in South Africa that scientists say is a concern because of its high number of mutations and rapid spread among young peoplein that country. Many feel that as The coronavirus evolves as it spreads and many new variants, including those with worrying mutations, often just die out. As of late this weekend there was no reports of any deaths from this variant.

BHK= Little Falls wins 6-5 in overtime Friday over Orono to open the season with new coach Joey Hanowski. Hayden Johnson with the winning goal in OT Friday. Little Falls scores 3 goals in the 3rd period to come back and won 5-4 Saturday over Monticello. The Flyers will take on St. Cloud Cathedral tomorrow at 7:15pm on Q92 WYRQ.
GOPHERS= The Gophers claimed Paul Bunyan's Axe with a 23-13 win over the Wisconsin Badgers. Gophers finish the regular season with a 8-4 record and will get a bowl game. The Gophers are expected to know on Sunday where they will go for the Bowl Game.
NFL= San Francisco 49ers beat Vikings 34-26 Sunday. Vikings 5-6. Green Bay beat the LA Rams Sunday and are now 9-3 on season.
