NEWS
--Tomorrow is Election Day in Minnesota. Though an odd numbered year which means many federal, state, county and city offices don't have elections tomorrow, there a few special elections for county and state seats around Minnesota but not locally. However nearly 80 schools will have school board and referendum votes on Tuesday. This includes the two question ballot in Swanville (voting 12-8pm at the Fire Hall), referendum votes are also on Tuesday for Sartell-St. Stephen, Sauk Rapids-Rice, Crosby Ironton, Alexandria, Mora, Parkers Prairie, Becker, Sauk Centre, and Milaca.

--Little Falls Community Schools are off Friday and next Monday so they have moved around their Veterans Programs this year. Lindbergh Elementary will be Thursday at 10am, Dr. S.G. Knight Elementary in Randall at 1:30pm and Lincoln Elementary at 2pm. Mary of Lourdes Middle School will also be on Thursday at 1:45pm and that will be heard live on AM960 KLTF and fallsradio.com. The Little Falls Community Middle School will have their Veterans Program on November 12th at 8:30am and the High School will be at 9am on Tuesday, November 12th. Pierz Schools will be off on Monday, Veterans Day, November 11th so their Veterans Program will be held on Friday at 9:30am at the Healy High School in the MAC.

--Nearly 1,000 Minnesota National Guard Soldiers and Airmen are deployed this month. Service men and woman rely on their families for strength and support during deployment. Governor Tim Walz proclaimed November Month of the Military to salute and celebrate the extraordinary military families whose selfless service and sacrifice make our military the finest in the world. Military family month was first celebrated in 1993. The following year, President Clinton issued a presidential proclamation establishing Nation Military Families Recognition Day. Subsequent presidents and governors have
issued proclamations designating November as Military Family Month.

--The Brainerd Police Department has received notification from the Minnesota Department of Corrections regarding a level 3 predatory offender relocating to Brainerd. 32-year old Joshua Mcmillen is scheduled to be relocated to the 100 block of Gillis Avenue in Brainerd on Tuesday. Mcmillen has a criminal history to include sexual contact with a known teenage female. Since Mcmillen is not new to the community, no community notification meeting will be held. Mcmillen is not wanted by police at this time. Notifications such as this are not intended to increase fear, but to keep the public informed. Police continue to ask the public to report criminal activity by this offender or any other by calling 911.

--A St. Cloud man has admitted to sexually molesting a 15-year old girl multiple times in 2017. 56-year old David Lenarz Jr. has pleaded guilty to two counts of 2nd degree criminal sexual conduct with a victim between 13-15-years of age while in a position of authority and soliciting a child to engage in sexual conduct. Lenarz will be sentenced in February.

--Brigadier General Mike Wickman and Command Sargent Major Stephen Whitehead took over leadership roles of the Minnesota National Guard's 34th Red Bull Infantry Division during an event Sunday at the Rosemount Armory. Wickman will take over as the Red Bulls' Commanding General for Major General Ben Corell, while Whitehead takes over responsibility as the Senior Enlisted Leader from Command Sargent Major Joseph Hjelmstad.

--Little Falls City Council meets tonight 7:30pm at LF City Hall.

--Sometime overnight (11/2/19-11/3/19) a new, 40 ft. Salem Villa RV trailer was taken from Sullivan Lake. The RV was wrapped in a grey tarp, which covered the entire camper. The RV is very large in size and would have taken up the entire roadway. The RV was used as a summer cabin and was placed on blocks at the seasonal site. It appeared to be ripped from the blocks and wiring, and pulled out of the lot down the road, westbound on Logan Lane. This area is located on the southside of Sullivan Lake, northeast of Harding, Richardson Township. If you have any information regarding the theft of this RV, please contact the sheriff's office at 632-9233.

--The Minnesota Department of Public Safety is sending out an urgent reminder to motorists to please watch for bicyclists and pedestrians after a 13-year-old boy was struck and killed in Eagan and two other pedestrians are in serious conditions after being struck by a vehicle in New Hope. The reminder states that motorists should always be on the look out for pedestrians and bicyclists even when the weather gets colder especially in the morning and evening hours around sunrise and sunset which may cause some visibility issues on the roadway. It also stated that bicyclists and pedestrians should follow traffic safety rules but there is a dire need to work together for safe outcomes from here on out.

--There will be a number of events for Thanksgiving Day this year. The Pierz Healy High School will have their Turkey Trot event will be held on 28th at 7am registration, 7:30am walk/run at the MAC entrance in Pierz. This year participation is free of charge to all to join in for the family fun. The Annual Community Thanksgiving Meal in Little Falls will be held from 11am-1pm on the 28th at the Little Falls Community High School. This year Word of Life Church in Upsala is hosting a Community Thanksgiving Meal on the 28th from 11:30am-1:30pm, they ask that you RSVP by the 22nd by calling 630-4052 or text that number for your RSVP. Then the next night is the return of Santa Claus to Little Falls with the annual Santa Parade at 6pm on November 29th. Then Christmas Attractions begins in Little Falls.

--The Morrison County Commissioners meet at 9:00am on Tuesday at the government center inside the boardroom.

SPORTS
HS FB= Pierz beat Albany 42-22 Friday to win the Section 6AAA Championship. Mathias Algarin had three touchdowns and Blake Kowalczyk added three more in the victory. Pierz will take on Perham in the State Quarterfinals of Class AAA Saturday at noon in Alexandria and can be heard live on FM94 KFML and fallsradio.com.
HS FB= Browerville-Eagle Valley and ROCORI football teams also advanced to state quarter-finals, Pillager was defeated by Osakis.
NFL= Kansas City would hit 2 field goals in the final minutes to beat the Vikings Sunday 26-23, the last of the 2 as time expired. The Vikings fall to 6-3 and are at Dallas for Sunday night football on the 10th. Packers, Bears and Lions all lost their games on Sunday too.
