--Little Falls Community High School is honoring Farm to School Month in October. Today on KLTF Community Program Lauren Wiherski, FFA President, 3rd year in FFA will talk about the events at the school and the meaning of Farm to School in the area. FFA Nationals will be October 27th-30th where 8 students and advisors attending FFA National Convention in Indiana. Also October being Farm To School Month as promoted in schools through weekly announcements, classroom activities, Great Lakes an Apple Crunch, One Vegetable One Community participation (Squash, Lettuce, Peppers, Tomatoes), Farm To School meals October 26, 27, and 28 where locally grown and locally produced food is being served at lunch in all of the community schools from elementary to high school where menus will include roasted pork loin, roasted turkey, squash, steamed carrots, mashed potatoes, peach cobbler, and apple crisp.

--The St. Cloud Police Department arrested a man Thursday night in connection with a murder in Moorhead. 29-year-old Ibrahim Isaac was taken into custody in the 400 block of 33rd Avenue South at about 6:30 p.m. He is suspected of aiding and abetting a murder on September 10th. No other information was available from the St. Cloud Police Department.

--At 7:09pm on Thursday Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Deputies responded along with other officers to an address in Oak Lawn Township, to a report of a disturbance taking place involving shots fired. As law enforcement arrived on scene, contact was made with an adult male subject in possession of a handgun. Law enforcement witnessed the male enter the residence and a single gunshot was heard. After confirming all other parties involved in the incident were safely outside the residence, an unmanned aerial vehicle was flown inside the residence and the male subject was located deceased of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. This incident is currently under active investigation. The deceased’s body was transported to the Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s office for autopsy.

--CentraCare spokesman Dr. George Morris says CentraCare and St. Cloud Hospital is "at capacity for all patients". Morris says they have approximately the same amount of COVID-19 patients within CentraCare and at St. Cloud Hospital as they had last week but with all other non COVID-19 care needs they just don't have the beds or enough staff to handle the pressure they are facing due to COVID. Morris says they have approximately 85 total COVID-19 patients within CentraCare and mid-60s at St. Cloud Hospital. Morris says three-fourths of those in the ICU//Critical Care Unit are on ventilators. CentraCare regional facilities in Willmar, Monticello, Long Prairie, Melrose, Paynesville and Redwood Falls also have COVID-19 patients. Of the COVID-19 positive patients 85% are unvaccinated. --Cyber attackers managed to access servers at St. Cloud State University this summer. Students received a letter on September 28th that there was unauthorized access to servers at the university on August 15th. Information technology staff detected the breach and moved quickly to limit the attackers access. All students and staff were required to change their StarID passwords. It was reported that no financial records, medical information, or grades were accessed.

--Coborn's Inc. announced last Thursday that it was decided that their stores will be closed this year for Thanksgiving. In the past the stores had been opened on Thanksgiving. This includes all of their stores including Little Falls, St. Cloud and Sartell stores.

--The Minnesota State Patrol is investigating after a cargo truck hit and killed 7 horses belonging to an Amish community. MSP said the crash happened just before 7 a.m. Saturday when a cargo truck hit the horses on Highway 29 near Wadena. The driver of the truck wasn't injured. According to MSP, the horses belonged to an Amish community. The crash is still under investigation.

--The Pierz FFA recently hosted a competition in the MAC and at the Kent and Stacy Happke farm for Dairy Evaluation and Milk Quality. Congratulations to Josi Smude placed 7th individually in the contest. There were 16 teams (74 individuals) from area schools participating.

--180th Avenue in Little Falls Township reopened on Friday between State Highway 27 and County Road 256. It had been closed for a part of last week due to road work but has reopened to traffic.

--Seventy-five soldiers and airmen from the Minnesota National Guard are preparing to support the state’s COVID-19 response efforts starting today. On Wednesday, Governor Walz requested Minnesota National Guard support for community-based testing sites in the metro and outstate locations. The service members will be broken into seven teams assisting civil authorities at various sites with conducting testing facility management, performing administrative tasks, and administering COVID-19 tests.” From March 2020 until Sept. 2021, the Minnesota National Guard mobilized nearly 970 service members to support the state's health emergency plan. During the mobilization, Minnesota's citizen-soldiers and airmen supported community-based COVID-19 testing activities at 45 different sites across the state, testing nearly 350,000 people from May 2020 through June 2021. These service members supported vaccination activities at 12 sites administering 10,500 COVID-19 vaccinations from January to May 2021.

HS SOC= The Little Falls Girls Soccer beat East Grand Forks 3-1 on Saturday to advance to the Section finals on Tuesday against Alexandria with the game at 7pm in Fergus Falls. The game will be heard live on Q92WYRQ and streamed at fallsradio.com.
HS FB= Upsala Swanville beat LPGE, Royalton ousted Rockford both teams are 6-1, Eden Valley Watkins beat Pierz, Holdingford wins big while Little Falls, Staples-Motley and Foley lost their games Friday.
COL FB= Gophers get two touchdowns passes from Tanner Morgan and the defense holds for Gophers to beat Nebraska 30-23 Saturday and now at 4-2 will host Maryland Saturday at 2:30pm on KLTF.
NFL= Vikings needed overtime to win over Carolina 34-28 yesterday with a Cousins pass to Osbourne. Vikings 3-3 into their bye week.
WNBA= Chicago Sky wins their first WNBA Championship by defeating Phoenix on Sunday to take the series in 4 games.
HS VB= Little Falls at Pierz Tuesday 7:15pm on 94ROCKS.
