NEWS
--Today is Halloween. Morrison County Shawn Larsen said Halloween is an exciting time for all but remember to be safe. Their office is asking motorists to slow down and watch for children this afternoon and evening out trick or treating. Children need to wear masks that do not block vision or hampered their breathing. Trick or treaters please where reflective items after dark, please refrain from cutting through other people's property, walk on a sidewalk where provided and not in the street, avoid going into stranger's houses and make sure the homes have outdoor lights on if going trick or treating as they are the ones participating in the candy distribution. Parents should inspect their children's candy and report any suspicious activity around houses, in candy or with strangers to law enforcement by calling 320-632-9233 or if in case of emergency to call 911. A reminder also that many younger kids in costumes with family members and others will be out this afternoon as Little Falls has business trick or treating 3:30-5pm, Pierz has business trick or treating today from 3-5:30pm. Other businesses and organizations also have city wide Halloween events so check with your area to see what they have going on Halloween to make a safe and fun one and Happy Halloween from Little Falls Radio.

--A 17-year-old St. Cloud boy has been arrested for allegedly bringing a handgun onto a school bus. St. Cloud police say on Wednesday at about 3:20pm. a 17-year-old Mckinley student was seen with a gun on a bus. There were never any threats with the gun however it is believed that he had it in his pocket. The incident was reported to a St. Cloud Police Department School Resource Officer the next morning. t about 1pm. Thursday the investigation led officers to the boy's St. Cloud home where they met with the boy and recovered the handgun. He was taken into custody without incident and was brought to a detention facility. He is expected to face multiple felony charges related to the illegal possession of the gun. Investigators don't believe any threats were ever made with the gun, nor were there any plans to use the gun. St. Cloud police say this incident is not in any way related to the previous incident Thursday in reference to several social media posts regarding threats at Tech High School. The student arrested in this case has never attended Tech and has not been linked in any way to the post. Those unrelated social media posts are being investigated separately.

--Two people from Alexandria were hurt in a crash in Pope County early Saturday morning. The incident happened around 5am on Highway 114 at 150th Street near Lowry. The Minnesota State Patrol says a tractor going north and an SUV going south collided on Highway 114. The driver of the SUV, 75-year-old Jerome Renner, and his passenger, 76-year-old Constance Renner, were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the tractor, 71-year-old Gerald Maus, of Lowry, was not hurt. Law enforcement remind motorists to watch for farm machinery on roadways.

--St. Cloud police are asking for your help finding a missing young woman. Angelina Carlson, who goes by Angel, was reported as a runaway August 4th. Recent information suggests she is living in, or frequently visiting, the St. Cloud area. Angelina is a 17-year-old black female with brown eyes and hair that’s usually tied up in a bun. Her arm may be in a blue splint or she could be using a black sling. Anyone with information is asked to call the St. Cloud Police Department or Tri-County Crimestoppers.

--The Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 45-year-old man on suspected second degree murder. According to the sheriff’s office, 23-year-old Bryce Brogle was reported missing Friday and was last seen leaving a residence Wednesday in Center Township. Brogle reportedly went missing after going to a Crow Wing County storage unit rented by the man who was arrested for his murder. A body believed to be Brogle’s was recovered, the release stated, and has been transported to the Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office for autopsy. The matter has been referred to the Crow Wing County Attorney’s Office for criminal charges. The Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and the Crow Wing County Drone Team assisted the sheriff’s office in the search for the body and the arrest.

--The Amber Alert that was issued Sunday night for 2 year old Shannon Useful Ingram from the Apple Valley Police Department was canceled overnight as Ingram was located safe in North Minneapolis and the suspect has been taken into custody.

--Royalton Public Schools wants to give Congratulations to the Milk Quality and Products Career Development Event team from Royalton on earning a silver rank at the National FFA Convention. Members for the Royalton FFA on the team were Joseph Achen, Alivia Pyka, Callie Vannurden, and Macy Wentland.

--Sister Julien wanted to thank all who donated blood this week at the Convent. They received 174 units, with a goal for the three days at 194 but 24 who came and for some reason were deferred to give blood on that day. The next blood drive will be January 10th through 12th of 2023. Anyone who wishes to sign up now can by going to redcrossblood.org or call Sister Julien at 320-632-0663.

--Rock-n-Roll Hall of Famer Jerry Lee Lewis has died. Lewis is known for the hits “Great Balls of Fire” and “Whole Lotta Shakin’ Goin’ On” died Friday of natural causes at age 87.

HS FB= Royalton shut out Kimball 22-0 on Saturday and advances to the section finals against Eden Valley-Watkins Friday at 7pm at St. John's University in Collegeville. Upsala-Swanville downed Belgrade Brooten Elrosa 22-6 on Saturday and USA will advance to take on KMS who eliminated Browerville 27-26 in overtime on Saturday. The USA vs. KMS will be at 12:30pm Friday in Fargo. Rocori eliminated Little Falls and New London-Spicer ousted Pierz ending their season.
NFL= Vikings get three second half turnovers and hold off a late run by Arizona to win 34-26. Vikings (6-1) at Washington on Sunday.
COL FB= Gophers shut out Rutgers Saturday 31-0 to go to 5-3.
WS= Philadelphia wins 6-5 in 10 innings Friday after trailing 5-0 to Houston early to win game 1, Houston took game 2 Saturday 5-2 to even the series at 1 a piece. Game 3 in tonight in Philadelphia.
TEN= The State Tennis Tournament wrapped up Friday. Lauren Rutten of Staples Motley finished 3rd and Ronnie Noska finished 6th.
HS VB= Verndale eliminated Swanville 3-1 in volleyball Friday.
