--A burglary Tuesday was reported at a Little Falls business. According to the Morrison County Sheriff’s Office, around 4:30am Tuesday the suspect is seen on security video making entry inside Heartland Tire through a service door on the east side of the building. The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5-11 to 6-0 tall, average build. He was wearing all black clothing with a grey backpack. The business reported that cash from the register was stolen. This case is still under investigation. The Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance if they witnessed any suspicious activity in the area of Heartland Tire during the time frame listed. If you have information regarding this burglary, you are asked to call the Morrison County Sheriff’s Office at (320) 632-9233.

--Rich Prairie Sewer & Water District, in accordance with notification received from the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, has implemented a lawn watering restriction within the Cities of Pierz and Genola. The Department of Natural Resources has notified them that due to 42% of the State of Minnesota being in an “Extreme Drought Warning” phase, they are not to utilize more than 175,000 gallons of water a day. This restriction is effective immediately. Because of this restriction, Rich Prairie Sewer and Water District hereby bans lawn watering within the Cities of Pierz and Genola. Users may continue to water shrubs, bushes, flowers, vegetable gardens, and trees. Community sports fields are exempt from this ban. This applies to all residents and businesses using water from Rich Prairie Sewer & Water District. The Minnesota Department of Health or the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources may have restrictions for other water sources, i.e., sand point wells, river water, etc. That said, Rich Prairie Sewer & Water District kindly asks that you use discretion when watering and to limit water usage when in these situations. --Little Falls Radio has learned that longtime former Little Falls girls basketball coach Jerry Cool Sr. has passed away at the age of 87 at his home in Longmont, Colorado. Jerry led Little Falls Community High School to State Championships in 1980, 1984 and 1985 in girls basketball. Also the 1984 season was undefeated for the girls basketball team before the state title. Jerry's son, Jerry Cool Jr. continued the girls basketball coaching legacy as he is a former head girls basketball coach at St. Cloud Cathedral High School.

--A Becker man was killed in a motorcycle crash early Wednesday morning. The Minnesota State Patrol says it happened at about 4:00am on westbound Interstate 94 at Highway 610 in Maple Grove. The Harley Davidson was heading west when the driver entered the construction zone, drifted left off the road, and rolled several times, coming to a rest in the ditch. Troopers say the man who died was 67-years-old Norlyn Nelson of Becker. He was not wearing a helmet.

--Anna Euerle, a 19-year-old college student from Litchfield, representing Meeker County, was crowned the 68th Princess Kay of the Milky Way last night at the State Fairgounds. Euerle will serve as the official goodwill ambassador for nearly 2,500 Minnesota dairy farm families. She is the daughter of Vaughn and Joan Euerle and attends Ridgewater College. Euerle’s first official duty as Princess Kay will have her likeness sculpted in a 90-pound block of butter the first two days of the Minnesota State Fair. By Linda Christensen marking her 50th year of this and her final year of carving. Albany's Jessica Ohmann will be sculpted in butter on Monday at the State Fair.

--Brigadier General Lowell Kruse, commander at Camp Ripey was on Little Falls Radio Wednesday morning to give an update on Camp Ripley. General Kruse said the numbers from last year to this year still showed their numbers were up going to testing sites, wildfires, policing large groups and other items even with the COVID-19 pandemic it did not stop their work on protecting and being on call when the state or governor called upon them for aid. Kruse said some of the Veterans Affairs offices inside the military base are being planned on going to the new location of the military museum when when completed but that will be in 2024. General Kruse invites all to the bienniel Camp Ripley Open House on Sunday, September 19th from 10am-2pm to see what the military base has to offer with a number of events planned and this year the theme is to remember all Native Americans who have served in the military.

--Sister Julien reported the they received 89 units of blood Tuesday from their blood drive and look forward to their next blood drive at the end of October. You can already make appointments for the next blood drive in October at redcrossblood.org or call 632-0663.

--Based on weather predictions of rain and thunderstorms for this evening, the Paramount Center for the Arts has decided to move all Block Party performances inside to the Paramount Theatre. The Block Party will no longer be held outside on Saint Germain. Due to space limitations, artist booths, food/drink vendors and kids’ activities will not be possible. Performance Schedule: 3:30pm – Buckets N Boards; 5:30pm – SCSU Nepalese Student Association; 7:00pm - Program Honoring Covid Heroes; 7:30pm – The Killer Vees “I Am He Said” Concert. All of the performances are free, however space is limited. Seating in the theatre will be on a first-come, first-serve basis. The Paramount facility will be open from 3-9pm, with theatre doors opening 30 minutes prior to each performance. Masks are required inside the Paramount Center for the Arts.

--Ella Pusc, a 15 year old has been doing Alzheimer's fundraiser for the past 5 years in memory of her Grandmother Tiny Eckman. Ella has raised nearly $35,000 for Alzheimers research to help in finding a cure. The event starts at 5pm Friday the Canteen Bar with quilts, silent auction, meat bingo and more with all proceeds going to help Ella's cause to help fight Alzheimer which took her Grandma.

--Today is the final Markets and Music on the Mississippi at LeBourget Park on the west side of Little Falls. It is scheduled 3-9 today with Markets at 3 and music by Levi Pelzer Band at 6pm however, Mother Nature may throw the curveball in the event later today so you are encouraged to listen to Little Falls Radio if any changes arise.

TWINS= Twins win a wild one scoring 5 in the top of the 10 inning then hold on to win 9-6 over Boston last night. The Twins wrap up their series in Boston tonight at 5:30pm on Q92 WYRQ.
