--30-year-old Jonathon Greyblood, the Little Falls man accused of killing his wife during a dispute in February will have his case heard at a jury trial. A settlement conference was held Wednesday. The defense and prosecution stated they could not reach a settlement and the two sides agreed to hold a 10-day jury trial. Greyblood has plead not guilty on both charges during a June 14 appearance in Morrison County District Court. The judge stated that it would not likely start until 2022 after futher discussion from both parties.

--The VA on Monday issued the following guidance. VA to start processing disability claims for certain conditions related to particulate matter Effective today claim adjudicators will begin processing disability claims for asthma, rhinitis and sinusitis on a presumptive basis related to exposure to particulate matter in the Southwest Asia theater and other areas. To be eligible for presumption, a Veteran must meet the following basic entitlement criteria: Has manifested chronic asthma, chronic rhinitis and/or chronic sinusitis, to include rhinosinusitis, within 10 years of separation from the last period of military service; and Served any length of time in the Southwest Asia theater of operations, beginning on August 2, 1990, through the present, as well as Afghanistan, Syria, Djibouti, or Uzbekistan on or after September 19th, 2001. This eligibility applies to new claims and appeals, pending claims, and claims pending in a VBA decision review lane. Presumptive service connection for these conditions based on exposure to particulate matter cannot be granted earlier than the effective date of the act or administrative issue. The Morrison County Veterans Service office received this message on Tuesday. They encourage Veterans who meet the criteria for diagnosed conditions and served in the areas mentioned to contact the Veterans Service Office. --The Stearns County Sheriff's Office has a reminder for those who like to go swimming at Quarry Park and Nature Preserve in Waite Park. They say they took 33 reports of theft at the park in June and July. In those reports, 45 cell phones were stolen, 16 wallets or bags, and six other miscellaneous items. The Sheriff says when swimming be sure to keep an eye on your property or leave or valuables at home. Back in June the Sheriff's Office announced they were increasing patrols at the park due to a large number of thefts, fights, and alcohol and drug violations.

--One of the suspects, 24-year old Precious Siner of St. Cloud, was allegedly swinging a bat at the victim. When the officer intervened, Siner allegedly fought being detained. Another woman charged in the case, 19-year old Kira Reiman of Sartell, left and went outside. She was found sitting in a nearby vehicle. Siner said she was in the area to buy marijuana and saw the victim's car at the home where the father of her child lives. Siner told investigators she got angry because the man was cheating on her. She knocked on the door to confront the man but was rebuffed. That's when Siner allegedly broke the windows and entered the home to confront the other woman. Reiman is accused of entering the home shortly thereafter, punching the victim in the head and calling her a "homewrecker". Both Siner and Reiman are charged with aiding and abetting 1st degree burglary and aiding and abetting 5th degree assault.

--The City of Little Falls has been directed by the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources to implement lawn watering restrictions within the City of Little Falls. The DNR, due to 50% of the State being in a “Drought Warning” phase, has instructed the City to not produce more than 1.5 million gallons of water a day. Because of this notification, the City is continuing the lawn watering restrictions within the City. Properties with an odd house (1, 3, 5, 7, 9) will be allowed to water on odd days. Properties with an even house number (0, 2, 4, 6, 8) will be allowed to water on their lawns on even days of the month. This applies to all residents and businesses using City water for lawn watering. The Minnesota Department of Health or the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources may have restrictions for other water sources (i.e. sand points, river water, etc.). Please check their offices to ensure compliance. This lawn watering restriction will continue until further notice. --Two women face burglary and assault charges after an incident in south St. Cloud Sunday. St. Cloud Police were called to an ongoing assault in the 1300 block of 5th Avenue South. An officer arrived to find a vehicle with a window smashed out and several other broken windows on the property. 24-year-old Precious Siner of St. Cloud, was allegedly swinging a bat at on of the victims. SPORTS
TWINS= Reds hold off a late run by the Twins to win 6-5 and split the two game series Wednesday. Twins travel to Houston tonight to take on the Astros, pregame at 6:30pm on Q92 WYRQ.
--The Minnesota Twins begin their 2022 season at the White Sox (March 31-April 3) and then at the newly named Cleveland Guardians (April 4-6). The Twins will then host the Seattle Mariners for their home opener at Target Field on Thursday, April 7. Twins officials also announced in the news release that "for the first time, all Twins home weekday (Monday-Thursday) night games throughout the entire season will have a 6:40pm scheduled first pitch. Another note is that the August 26-28 series marks the first-ever Target Field appearance for the San Francisco Giants. The Giants were scheduled to play the Twins in the original, pre-pandemic 2020 schedule.
