NEWS
--Yesterday on KLTF Executive Director of the Morrison County Historical Society Mike Worcester said he learned a lot of lingo in the past few months from archeological digs to look into the history of the items found on the grounds at the museum. Worcester mentioned that the findings proved to be more of a stopover sight or waste station site of some the Native Americans from bones and items left there over time. The dig needed to be done this past year become starting later this year a big project on working on the riverbed in building up the hillside to help in stopping the weakening of the land along the riverbed and up the hill to the building. The $700,000 project is again mainly to keep the building from sliding into the river and comes from state funding that was addressed by State Representative Ron Kresha to help secure in working to help stop the sedimentation problem but also to build up the riverbed to help in keeping the items, businesses, homes along it where there currently are. Worcester also invites all to the Museum to see the Wes Sod exhibits with many items in the two halls to see of his works from around the county and beyond in his 60+ years here working with Laura Jane Musser and many other dignitaries on his art and stories. The exhibit is at the museum through Labor Day, the museum is open Wednesday through Saturday or call Mike with questions at 320-632-4007.

NATIONAL NEWS
--Ford is recalling almost 1.9 million Explorer SUVs to secure a piece of trim that can fly off. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says the recall covers the 2011 through 2019 model year Ford Explorers. Clips holding a roof support cover near the front windshield can come loose and increase the risk of a crash. U.S. regulators opened an investigation last January, but Ford decided against a recall at that time, citing the low weight of the part. Regulators have since determined it is a safety risk thus prompting the nationwide real on the Explorer SUVs.
