--The Morrison County Fair begins today. KLTF Party Line will be live at the fair at 10:05am on AM960 KLTF and fallsradio.com. The opening ceremony and national anthem at noon to begin the events at the fair. Antique Tractor Display from Greater Minnesota 2 Cylinder Club from noon to 7pm, goat show, poultry show, rabbit show, music from St. Francis Music Ensemble at 2pm, Sue's Country Sunshine Band and Variety Show at 4:30pm, Kids Pedal Tractor Pull begins at 6pm, bingo at 6pm, 4-H Drill Team competition at 6:30pm, Tuff Truck at Grandstand at 7pm, Animal Dress Up Contest at the livestock barn at 7:30pm, Morrison County Got Talent contest at 8pm then music from In Disguise DJ and Karaoke at 9pm. Midway with Gopher State Carnival Rides begins at noon, wristbands can be used from 12-5pm or 5-10pm today. Many exhibits, lots of food items, Historical Society in the Santa House, the rural school house, Ag Learning Center, many showing off their wears, projects, organizations and items plus many more things to see and do today at the Morrison County Fair. --Fire crews responded to a shed fire Monday afternoon near Melrose. The incident happened just before 2:30pm in the 34000 block of 400th Street in Melrose Township. Members of the Melrose, Freeport and Sauk Centre Fire Departments arrived to put out the blaze. Authorities say the shed and the items inside were a total loss. The property owner, Jacob Primus, told authorities the shed contained some baled hay, chopped stocks, a small hay baler and a grinder/mixer. The cause of the fire is unknown.

--St. Cloud Police are investigating another shooting incident in south St. Cloud. It's the third incident of gunshots in that area in the last two weeks. Officers responded to a report of gunshots in the 800 block of 11th Street South just before 11:00pm Tuesday. Police say the suspect or suspects had fled the area before officers arrived. As police were investigating the shooting, they say a 32-year-old St. Cloud woman arrived at the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Police say it appears the victim or someone she was with was the intended target. No arrests have been made. Anyone with information should call police or Tri County Crimestoppers.

--Three people were arrested in connection to a string of burglaries that happened over the 4th of July weekend. Waite Park police say the incidents happened back on July 6th in the 1500 block of Graniteview Road and in the 500 block of Julep Road. Authorities say roughly $200,000 worth of musical instruments and roughly 650-feet of Heliax cable were taken from the different sites. Authorities used a search warrant where they found a large amount of the stolen instruments inside the storage locker. Police used a second search warrant at a mobile home park in Rockford, where they found several grams of meth. A third search warrant was used at a motel in Buffalo where the suspect was believed to be staying. Police arrested 34-year-old Andrew Skjod of Pequot Lakes, 36-year-old Alicia Laska of Hanover and 40-year-old Christopher Barnes of Rockford. Skjod is charged with felony burglary, Laska is charged with drug possession and Barnes is charged with receiving stolen property. Skjod and Laska are being held in the Wright County jail, while Barnes was booked and released. The case remains under investigation and may have ties to other burglaries and thefts in central Minnesota along with a string of burglaries and theft in the Twin Cities.

--The driver of an International dump truck was injured when his vehicle left Highway 64 near Motley in Cass County on Tuesday at 5:21pm. The vehicle ended up in the ditch and tipped onto its side. 61-year-old David Wagner of Rochester, New York was taken to the Staples Hospital with non life threatening injuries.

--A Verndale man was tragically killed after being run over by a round baler on Tuesday. The Wadena County Sheriff's Office received the call at about 11:30am from a man who stated another man had been run over by a tractor. The caller stated they were located in section 24 of Wing River Township. Law enforcement and emergency personnel arrived on scene to find Raphael Kern, 63, of Verndale, had been run over by a round baler. It was reported that the two males had been working on the tractor that was pulling the baler as it had broken down the day before. When the tractor broke down, it was left in gear. While working on the tractor, it started running and driving; running over Raphael. Raphael was air lifted to the Fargo hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

--A report of gunshots near Lake George Tuesday resulted in the arrest of a 17-year-old. The St. Cloud Police Department says they responded to the Lake George area just after 6:00pm on reports of shots fired. Officers stopped several people and determined that a suspect had shot at a person in a vehicle. Officers found the individual who was shot; he was not injured. Police arrested a 17-year-old from St. Cloud on charges of 2nd Degree Assault, Reckless Discharge of a Firearm, Carrying a Gun Without a Permit, and a Minor in Possession of a Firearm. The shooting remains under investigation.

--Lane closures are planned for the intersection of Highway 15 and Stearns County Road 1 in Sartell. Starting Monday, County Road 1 will be reduced to a single lane in each direction through the intersection and the double-lane left turn from northbound Highway 15 onto westbound County Road 1 will be reduced to a single turn lane. The closures are needed to install a new access just west of Highway 15 along the north side of westbound County Road 1. The lane closures are expected to continue through August 4th.

--The Upsala Upstage Players present “Brigadoon” with performances Friday, Saturday and Monday night 7pm and Sunday at 2pm. Tickets are available at the door. Come and enjoy the shows in Upsala.

SPORTS
VL= The Victory League playoffs start this weekend and playoff action will be heard live on AM960 KLTF. Saturday it will be St. Wendel at Upsala at 3:30pm. A game will also be on Sunday after Saturday games are completed and times are set. Playoffs continue next weekend then the Region Tournament will begin after that.
LEGION= Foley defeated Little Falls American Legion yesterday in the playoffs 6-3 ending the LF season at 10-2.
