--The Little Falls Kiwanis is working on making an impact in the community through Little Falls Area playground upgrades on some of the older outdated playgrounds. They have targeted their next project and it is Pine Tree Park playground, on 4th Street near the Little Falls Dog Park. They would like to see a handicap accessible Playground that can be utilized by all youth in the community. They have a few fundraisers, such as Kiwanis Trivia night that raise money for Kiwanis Projects. The Kiwanis Club would like to thank The Falls Ballroom for sponsoring the event through donations from green beer sales on St. Patrick's Day and allowing the LF Kiwanis to work with the Tipsy Trivia participants. The community was an excellent supporter with 125 people involved, in some capacity. The evening raised $4,915 to kick off the project. The last playground they funded was the Washington Playground, near the LF Great River Library. We also park cars during the Little Falls Arts and Craft Fair and seek funding through other means. Anyone interested in the Kiwanis club, please call Kris at (320) 266-7627.
