NEWS
--Morrison County Sheriff Shawn Larsen addressed a number of items on KLTF yesterday. Larsen addressed the 5 overdoses in Little Falls, two deceased parties and three unreported parties. In some fentynl was in the product and others were considered bad forms of heroin. The sheriff said that Coffee with the Cop next Tuesday at 8:30am at the Falls Ballroom will addresss more on this and what can be done to help someone having an overdose and also ways to prevent this all together by getting drugs off the streets and out of the area. The Sheriff also stated that thefts and suspicious activity is up again and remind those to please call immediately if you notice something out of the ordinary by a home, building, facility etc. Larsen said they have been called to a number of places to check out what is happening and if you can please call as soon as you see something it helps more in case an arrest can be made instead of calling hours and days later. Larsen said that the office is going to give the public a change to buy stones at the Fallen Officer Memorial at the government center and more information will be released soon. The Sheriff announced they have hired another investigator into the Terry Brisk homicide. Brisk was killed in 2016 and there has been no arrrests in the case. The new investigator works with cases (not considered a cold case as the investigation has never stopped) but have not been solved. The new investigator is looking through persons of interests over the past 4+ years and crossing those off. Anyone with information is asked to please contact the sheriff's office. Larsen said that no eyewitness has come forward but if you were driving or near the area where the incident occurred please call the sheriff's office at 632-9233. Sheriff Larsen and Shiela Watercott of Little Falls Community Schools also thanked the community support for events like Day of Caring, Prom, Graduation and Grad Bash after the graduations as these events done with the help of parents, volunteers and others are keeping students from drinking and driving, using controlled substances, using tobacco and keeping young lives safe to finish high school.

--A St. Cloud man faces felony charges of domestic abuse and a misdemeanor for mistreating a dog, according to a complaint filed in Stearns County court. Todd Richard Chauvin, 37, is accused of punching a woman in the back of her head and kicking her repeatedly. The woman said she was smoking on the patio when Chauvin told her to come inside, when she refused, she said Chauvin began hitting and kicking her dog and then physically punching her in the back before she came inside and struck her again. Chauvin denied there was any physical altercation between the two of them.

--Police officers responded to a knife fight in south St. Cloud Tuesday afternoon. Commander Brett Mushatt says officers were dispatched to the 1000 block of 9th Avenue South at about 1:20pm. There were multiple people involved and at least one of the males had a knife. Police located a 20-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy who had been involved in the fight. Both were taken to St. Cloud Hospital and treated for minor non-life-threatening injuries. The others involved in the fight have not been located yet, and the case is still being investigated. No other information has been released by the police at this time. Anyone with any information should call St. Cloud police.

--The Pierz Knights of Columbus Buffalo Feed and Raffle is this Saturday from 4-8pm, raffle at 8:15pm at the Pierz Ballroom.

--An Annandale man is charged with murder in the overdose death of another man earlier this week. Stearns County prosecutors have charged 24-year-old Zachary Wolf with 3rd-degree murder for providing the victim the meth/fentanyl mixture that led to his death. Authorities were called Sunday to the 4900 block of Bluehill Circle in South Haven to investigate a death. Officers discovered a piece of tin foil on the bed next to the man's body with a black tar substance on it. Police also located plastic baggies containing what was believed to be heroin and cocaine. According to the criminal complaint, Wolf would go with people to buy herion because he had a connection in the cities. Witnesses say Wolf, the victim and two other men drove to Shakopee to buy heroin and other drugs for the group the night before. An autopsy determined the victim died due to the toxic effects of Fentanyl, acetyl fentanyl and methamphetamine.

--The American Pickers television program on the History Channel is planning on returning to Minnesota this July.
