--The Benton County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information concerning a stolen boat that was recovered in Watab Township. Back on Friday around 12:30pm the Benton County Sheriff’s Office received a call to report that a boat and trailer were parked on a walking path at Bend in the River Park in Watab Township. A deputy was sent to the area and located a 2018 Skeeter fiberglass boat on a tandem axle trailer. The deputy discovered that the boat was missing its outboard motor, trolling motor, battery, and electronic fishing accessories. Investigators suspect that the boat was stolen from Elk River, brought to the Benton County area, stripped of its motors and electronics, and then abandoned on the walking path at Bend in the River Park. The Benton County Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone who may have seen this boat or anyone with information about this crime to contact the Benton County Sheriff’s Office at (320) 968-7201.
