--The names of the two men who died after a vehicle crash involving a car stolen from a Lyft driver early Tuesday morning have been released. 42-year old David A. Isaacs of St. Cloud and 46-year old James M. Parkos of Sauk Rapids were the two men killed in the crash. Isaacs is believed to be the driver of the vehicle at the time of the crash. Parkos was pronounced dead at the scene. Isaacs was taken to St. Cloud Hospital where he later died. Isaacs and Parkos were driving a vehicle authorities said was stolen from a Lyft driver shortly after 1:00am Tuesday. A Sherburne County deputy clocked the vehicle as traveling at 112 mph on County Road 8 south of St. Cloud. As the deputy drove to catch up to the vehicle, he approached a curve in the road near 77th Street, and then saw and smelled smoke and vehicle wreckage near County Road 8 and 38th Avenue.

--A St. Cloud woman faces four criminal counts on suspicion of strangling a man with a cord. 29-year old Khaliya Nmn Nowak is charged with one felony count of domestic assault by strangulation, one gross misdemeanor count of interfering with an emergency call, and two misdemeanor counts of domestic assault. St. Cloud police responded to a report of domestic assault Saturday around 8:15pm at a St. Cloud home. When police arrived, they spoke to a man who said he and Nowak got in an argument. The complaint stated at some point during the argument (Nowak) came at (the man), reached her hands toward him, and scratched at his face. After pushing her off of him, the man told police she then "ran back toward him, jumped on top of him, and started scratching and grabbing him. Eventually, Nowak grabbed a cord, and wrapped the cord around (his) neck to the point where he was unable to breathe. Police found "several scratches" on the man's face, scratches and redness on his neck, head and shoulder, and a red mark on his neck consistent with an injury caused by a cord. Nowak, who had a very small rug burn on her elbow, told police the two had been in an argument, but that the man had been the primary aggressor.

--Two people were hurt Tuesday just after 11am on Highway 71 near Round Prairie in Todd County when a semi tried to avoid a vehicle turning off the highway and collided with another causing the 2nd vehicle to strike the turning one. 38-year-old Sarah Vie of Ottertail was in the first vehicle that was turning and taken to the hospital with injuries. The semi-driver, 54-year-old Timothy Caspersen of Avon was treated for lacerations at an area hospital. The other driver involved in the accident from Browerville was not hurt.

--One person was injured Tuesday around 4:20pm on Highway 23 near Bock in Mille Lacs County. One vehicle attempted to turn off of 23 which was rear-ended by another causing a third vehicle to crash into the second. 49-year-old Rosemarie Tomlinson of Mora was treated for non-life threatening injuries. No one else was injured.

--A 25-year-old Cass Lake man was sentenced to 7 and half years in prison for shooting a woman during a drug deal gone bad last year. Brandon Roy pleaded guilty to 2nd degree manslaughter for having other charges dropped. He was credited already with 353 days.

--Pierz Healy High School presents “The Addams Family” tonight and tomorrow night at 7pm and Sunday at 2pm at the PAC in Pierz. Swanville has their shows this weekend and also Upsala announced that they will be performing “I Hate Shakespeare” Friday and Saturday at the Upsala High School Auditorium.

--A Buffalo man was brought to the hospital after being hit by a car Monday afternoon. The Minnesota State Patrol says around 3:30pm a pickup driven by 58-year old Dawn Jenson of Loretto was heading north on Highway 55, attempting to turn left onto 2nd Street South. At the same time, a pedestrian, 29-year-old Jacob Daniels was trying to cross Highway 55. While in the intersection, Daniels was struck by Jenson's vehicle. Daniels was brought to North Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

--A St. Cloud Hospital nurse has earned a national award for her commitment to making sure patients receive the right care in a quick fashion. Colleen Porwoll, RN, core charge nurse in the Bone & Joint Center at St. Cloud Hospital, is a recipient of the Second Annual DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses in Patient Flow. The award recognizes individual nurses, as well as teams of care providers who are led by a nurse, for their hard work and commitment to ensuring patients the right bed, time, setting, medicines and other items.

--Two property damage incidents with projectiles used to cause damage to two residences appear to be connected, and authorities are asking for the public's help. The two incidents were both around 7-7:30pm Tuesday first at a residence on the 4100 block of Cedar Scenic Road. The second incident was shortly after on the 12000 block of Little Pine Road, west of Baxter in Cass County. Sgt. David Timm of the Baxter Police Department said police are investigating the incident, during which a projectile caused damage to a window at the residence on Cedar Scenic Road. Although the calls into dispatchers reported possible gunshots, Timm said it appears the two incidents may be connected, and no one was hurt. Anyone who may have seen or heard anything about these two incidents is asked to call Baxter police at 218-454-5090 or the Cass County Sheriff's Office at 218-547-1424. Police do not have a detailed description of the suspect vehicle, but stated it was an older, larger truck.

--Authorities responded to a rollover crash in Waite Park Tuesday morning. The incident happened just before 9am in the 2600 block of County Road 75. 63-year-old Jamie Koll of Eden Prairie, was heading west on County Road 75 when Koll veered off the road, hit a ditch and rolled. Koll received non-life threatening injuries.

--A St. Cloud man was arrested Monday morning on suspicion of assaulting a woman at a residence in St. Cloud. 33-year old Jesse Duckett Jr. faces two felony domestic assault charges.
