NEWS
--A head-on crash in Morrison County left a woman with minor injuries Tuesday morning. The crash happened on Haven Road about six miles north of Little Falls. The Morrison County Sheriff's Office says they were called to a two-vehicle crash at around 7:40am. Authorities say 54-year-old Robyn Brisk of Little Falls was traveling north on Haven Road while a 16-year-old boy was heading south.
The teen from Fort Ripley lost control on the icy road and hit Brisk's vehicle head-on. Brisk was treated on the scene by Mayo Ambulance and released. The 16-year-old driver was not hurt.

--Tuesday night around 9:02pm, the Little Falls Fire Department was dispatched to 11684 140th Avenue in Little Falls Township on a report of a barn on fire. Firefighters arrived and found the barn was fully
involved with fire and was threatening other nearby buildings. Firefighters were able to protect the nearby structures and extinguished the remains of the barn. There was extensive overhaul required which took several hours as there were bales of hay inside the barn that needed to be spread out and extinguished. The barn and its contents were a total loss. There were no animals injured as a result of the fire. We were assisted at the scene by the Royalton Fire Department and Camp Ripley Fire Department. The cause of the fire is under investigation but is believed to be accidental. Firefighters
cleared the scene at approximately 1:44am.

--Sartell police are looking for the driver involved in a hit and run of a pedestrian. The incident happened Monday night at about 8:15pm at the intersection of Pine Cone Road and 7th Street North. The vehicle is believed to be an older Toyota passenger car that is grey or silver in color with a louder exhaust. It left the scene headed north on Pine Cone Road. The vehicle should have some damage including a broken headlight, passenger side mirror, and possibly one side window broken out. The victim in the incident was taken to St. Cloud Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

--A Waite Park teenager was hurt in a crash on Interstate 94.The Minnesota State Patrol says the incident happened at about 10:30pm Tuesday near Hasty. 18-year-old Tiziano Camacho of Waite Park was a passenger in a vehicle that made contact with a semi. Both vehicles were traveling east. Camacho was taken to St. Cloud Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of his vehicle, a 17-year-old girl, was not hurt. The semi driver also was not hurt.

--An Eagle Bend woman was hurt after crashing her pickup Tuesday morning. It happened on Highway 71 north of Clarissa around 7am.
The Minnesota State Patrol says the highway was snow and ice-covered at the time of the crash. Troopers say 43-year-old Amanda Murdock was northbound on Highway 71 when she left the road, entered the ditch, and rolled onto the roof. Murdock was brought to centraCare-Long Prairie for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

--A missing University of Minnesota student was found dead in the Mississippi River, according to a social media post from the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension. The University of Minnesota police department canceled the alert for 19-year-old Sumith Maddi after the Hennepin County Medical Examiner identified his body. The college student was last seen leaving the 17th Avenue Residence Hall back on October 21st around 2:40am. The Hennepin County Water Patrol found his body in the Mississippi River last Friday.

--The Ideal Fire Department responded to a chimney fire at 2:48pm Monday on the 33000 block of Shadow Trail in Ideal Township. Fire crews arrived on scene they found the home engulfed by fire, with flames coming from the roof as the fire spread into the attic. Around 50 firefighters were on scene throughout the day with mutual aid provided by Crosslake, Pequot Lakes, Nisswa and Mission fire departments. Water was shuttled to the location from the Ossawinnamakee Lake access as fire crews fought the fire for over six hours. The fire was difficult to extinguish as they had trouble reaching all the hot spots with the roof and walls collapsing on the three-story, 7,800-square-foot home. The fire was extinguished around 10:27pm with no injuries reported but the house was an entire loss. The State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the fire and the American Red Cross is assisting the family.

--The Brainerd Fire Department responded to a spreading camper fire at 2:08pm Monday on the 12000 block of Eagle Drive. Fire Chief Tim Holmes said the homeowner was thawing a line in his camper when a fire started. The fire then spread to a detached garage. Fire crews were able to contain the fire to one end of the garage, saving a boat and a new lawnmower. Fire crews were on scene for about an hour and a half, with no injuries reported. Holmes said the garage sustained moderate damage and the camper was a total loss.

--Sister Julien announced they received 60 units of blood on Tuesday at their blood drive which ended yesterday. Thanks to those who gave blood the past three days at the blood drive.

THANKSGIVING NEWS
--This year's meal will depend on pricing on what you buy, the turkey will cost less than last year as turkey prices are down 13% from last year, cranberries are down 20% in price from last year. Russet potatoes and sweet potatoes are up in prices some areas over 14% higher than last year, green beans are up and so is the price for making your pumpkin pie. Deals can always be found in local stores so check for them when out shopping for your Thanksgiving you can always find a better deal locally sometimes,  but in most cases for a Thanksgiving meal to feed about 20 people the cost is up about 3.7% total from last year.
