--A 57-year-old from Hillman was injured last night around 10:33pm on Highway 25 at 123rd Street in Pierz Township when Allan Welle was heading north on 25 when he struck a bull that was loose in the middle of the road. Welle was taken to St. Cloud Hospital for treatment of what the patrol called non-life threatening injuries.

--The Brainerd Police Department and the Minnesota State Patrol are investigating a car vs. motorcycle crash that left one person dead. Around 3:28pm Wednesday, officers responded to Highway 210 and 10th Avenue Northeast in Brainerd the car driven by 30-year-old Kayla Elwell collided at the intersection with a motorcycle driven by a 28 year old male who was taken to the Brainerd Hospital and pronounced dead. The name has yet to be released pending notification of loved ones. Elwell and her juvenile passenger were not injured in the accident which remains currently under investigation.

--The Morrison County Sheriff’s Office continues to ask for the public’s assistance in the homicide investigation of Terrence “Terry” Brisk’s death that occurred 5 years ago on Monday November 7th, 2016. The Sheriff’s Office is still actively investigating this case with assistance from the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension. The Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that the suspect shot and killed Terry Brisk with his own rifle. Based on evidence at the scene, the suspect was in close proximity to Terry Brisk and we believe that Terry and the suspect would have interacted prior to the homicide taking place. In the last 5 years, advances in technology have opened some new doors that we continue to explore, which continues to keep this case active. Someone may have the information that law enforcement needs to bring closure to this case. Even if you aren’t sure if the information you have is important to share, call our agency or Crime Stoppers, as it might be the information that is needed to bring this case forward. Very few tips have been provided to the Sheriff’s Office, so we continue to ask the public for their assistance in this case. If anyone has any information pertaining to this case call the sheriff's office at 320-632-9233 another option is to report it and stay anonymous by contacting Crime Stoppers of Minnesota at their website www.CrimeStoppersMn.org; by calling the toll free number 1-800-222-TIPS [8477] from anywhere in Minnesota. You can also use the tipline or text line from Crimestoppers through their website. All contact with Crime Stoppers is anonymous and you may qualify for a reward from them if your information leads to an arrest.

--Following an extensive clinical trial and final recommendations from CDC for the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine for 5- to 11-year-olds, Governor Tim Walz announced that Minnesota will begin vaccinating children this week. To aid families, the state has launched a new webpage (mn.gov/vaxforkids) to help parents and guardians find 5- to 11-year-old children a vaccine and answer questions they may have about the vaccine. Minnesota providers have ordered as many doses as possible from the federal government. Doses will arrive in waves this week, with most providers receiving their vaccines by this weekend. There are over 500,000 children across Minnesota that can now get the vaccine and with this 94% of the population can be vaccinated.

--Little Falls Community High School presents Play On by Rick Abbot tonight, Friday and Saturday at 7pm at the Charles D. Martin Auditorium for their fall performance. Tickets can be purchased at the door for $7 adults, students and seniors are $3.

--More results from Tuesday's school elections, the referendum in the Long Prairie School District Tuesday passed with 277 yes votes to 248 no votes. This referendum extended an existing referendum of $294.24 per pupil that was scheduled to expire after taxes payable in 2022 for ten years. Voters in the Becker school district have passed both referendum questions on their ballots. The first question passed with 1,403 yes votes and 763 no votes. It provides an additional $37.5 million for deferred maintenance, secure entrances, a new transportation facility, and adding space to their existing buildings. The second question passed with 1,199 yes votes and 966 no votes. That question will provide another $6.8 million to turn the current transportation facility into an early childhood education space, put artificial turf on the football field, and add lights to the baseball and softball fields. Yesterday it was reported the Upsala school bond referendum failed 332 no votes to 218 yes votes.

--The recent reports from the Little Falls Police Department are showing a number of motor vehicle accidents in the city of Little Falls and around construction areas. A reminder to please slow down.

--The Charles A. Weyerhaeuser Memorial Museum which houses the Morrison County Historical Society in Little Falls was closed through the month of October in order to have the HVAC (heating, ventilation, air conditioning) system replaced. While a large portion of the HVAC project was completed in October, there is still work to be done on the system. For this reason, the Weyerhaeuser Museum will be open by appointment only for researchers during the month of November. For those who want to view the exhibits, the museum will be open on November 23rd and 24th from 10am-4pm. Masks are required for all those visiting the museum. --Faith Lutheran Church in Little Falls is showing the movie Same Kind of Different as Me, an Unlikely True Story on Saturday at 7pm with doors opening at 6:45pm. The movie is based on the inspirational life of successful art dealer Ron Hall, and his wife Debbie, Same Kind of Different as Me is a wonderful story of a lasting friendship. NFL= Aaron Rodgers of Green Bay has been placed on COVID protocol after testing positive for the virus. The team announced that Rogers will not play this Sunday at Kansas City against the Chiefs.
MLB= San Francisco Giant's catcher Buster Posey is expected to announce his retirement today after 12 years in league, he is 34.
