NEWS
--Police have arrested a suspect in connection with a fatal shooting that happened last month. The St. Cloud Police Department says officers responded to a report of multiple shots fired in the 700 block of 6th Avenue South just before 4am. on October 22nd. When police arrived, they found several people at the home. Authorities say a disagreement during the gathering at the home led to a shooting. The victim, 34-year-old Antonio Harris Jr. of Buffalo, died at the scene. Two other shooting victims, a 26-year-old man and a 52-year-old man, were treated and released from St. Cloud Hospital. Police say the suspect, 26-year-old Deionte Parker, was arrested on October 27th due to a probation violation. Parker is being held at the Stearns County Jail and now faces charges including 2nd Degree Murder with Intent, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, and 2nd Degree Assault with a dangerous weapon.

--Officials have released the name of the woman killed in a car crash last week. The St. Cloud Police Department says 57-year-old Jeanette Sand of Kimball died from injuries she received in the crash. She passed away at the St. Cloud Hospital over the weekend. Sand was going West on County Road 75 the morning of October 30th, when she tried to turn left onto Glen Carlson Drive. Her car was hit by a truck going East on County Road 75 driven by 29-year-old Lucas Gant of St. Cloud. The St. Cloud Police say no charges are expected.

--A man with multiple outstanding felony warrants was arrested in Belgrade Monday. The Belgrade-Brooten Police Department says they received a tip that a man with multiple warrants was in his house.
The Belgrade-Brooten police along with the Stearns County Sheriff's Office performed surveillance on the house at 525 Washburne Ave and saw Dylan Kelley in the entryway. Officers surrounded the home and announced that they were there to arrest Kelley. After several attempts, officers were able to speak with Kelley over the phone, and he refused to cooperate. Over the next several hours deputies tried unsuccessfully attempted to re-establish communication with Kelley and to get him to come out. The SWAT team then entered the house just after midnight and eventually found Kelley in a crawl space and arrested him without incident. Kelley was booked into the Stearns County Jail on several outstanding warrants.

--A 41-year-old Mora man was arrested Saturday for allegedly being in possession of methamphetamine. Michael Richard Freeman was charged with felony first-degree intent to sell 17 or more grams of cocaine or methamphetamine and one count of felony first-degree possession of 50 or more grams of cocaine or methamphetamine. Freeman was pulled over in Crosby after law enforcement checked the license plates on the vehicle he was driving. The check showed the registered owner had a suspended driver's license. Freeman was identified as the driver and produced an expired insurance card. Officers found suspected drug paraphernalia in the vehicle and observed Freeman's eyes were sunken in and very bloodshot, and his pupils reacted slowly to light indicators of recent drug use. Officers asked Freeman if there was anything illegal in the vehicle. Freeman informed them there was 1 or 2 ounces of methamphetamine in the vehicle. Freeman was arrested and during the search they located a large amount of suspected methamphetamine and other drug related items. In total, Freeman was found to have approximately 96.3 grams of methamphetamine. Freeman is currently being held in the Crow Wing County Jail on $100,000 bail or bond without conditions.

--Statewide election results from Tuesday reported that Pequot Lakes voters said no in the school district’s special election for capital projects levy, question 1 was 1,070 no votes to 925 yes, and question 2 was 1,183 no to 850 yes. Crosby Ironton school referendum vote also failed by a small margin of 920 yes votes to 955 no votes. Browerville ISD 787 school vote passed 619 yes to 422 no. Wadena-Deer Creek School Board-recommended operating levy increase and school building bonding referendum which were voted down Tuesday. Totals were question 1 had 437 yes votes and 1,690 no votes, then question 2 had only 380 yes votes to 1,747 no votes so it failed. Eden Valley Watkins voted yes on their referendum increase with over two-thirds of the voters voting yes on the referendum. Todd County Commissioner Vacant seat in District 3 was Bob Byers 237 votes to Bob Kunz 228 votes. There were no elections for Morrison County full results on elections on Secretary of State's website.

--The Little Falls Community High School has their Veterans Program on Friday, November 10th, the Veterans Day Program at LF High School starts at 9:10am in the High School Gym. There is visitor parking and handicap parking in the large student lot near door 1. Enter door 1 and you will be directed to the gym. There will be a presentation of colors from the VFW Post #1112, the choir will sing the national anthem and the guest speaker will be Army Sgt. First Class Elijah Ploof. All are invited especially all Veterans to come be honored and thanked by the students and others of the high school.

--Pierz Healy High School will have their Veteran's Program on Friday at 9:30am in the MAC at Pierz Healy High School. Army Captain Jacob Kruse will be speaking. Captain Kruse is a 2011 Graduate from Pierz Healy High School. Also, the program is all set up for being Live Streamed on the Pierz Schools U tube page.

HS FB= State Football Quarter-Finals begin with 14 games tonight including teams like Eden Valley Watkins, Osakis & ROCORI in action.
