NEWS
--A Little Falls woman was hurt when her vehicle was hit from behind Tuesday morning. The Morrison County Sheriff's Office says 46-year-old Paulette Isder was traveling west on 183rd Street northeast of Little Falls when she stopped for a deer that was crossing the road. Another driver, 29-year-old Samantha Kuklok of Holdingford, was also heading west on 183rd Street and crashed into the back of Isder's vehicle. Isder was taken to St. Gabriel's Hospital in Little Falls with unknown injuries. The crash happened at around 8:35am.

–Witness testimony continues in the Jonathon Greyblood murder trial in Morrison County District Court. Greyblood, 31, Little Falls, was officially charged in Morrison County District Court with two counts of second degree murder in relation to the death of his wife, Jeanine Greyblood, 37, on the morning of Feb. 6. He pleaded not guilty on both counts, June 14. One of the prosecution witnesses this week is Morrison County Sheriff's Office Sergeant Doug Rekstad who discussed the crime scene where Jeanine's body was found. Photos were shown to the jury of the crime scene and the body. Defense is arguing how the sheriff's office on the alleged confession that led authorities to the crime scene. Witness testimony is scheduled to continue this week the trial expected to be given to the jury sometime early or mid next week in Morrison County District Court.

--A man faces a felony assault charge after a stabbing incident at a St. Cloud convenience store Monday morning. Police were called to a Kwik Trip on West Division Street just after 6:30am. The caller said she saw someone get stabbed in the parking lot. Both the suspect and the victim had left the scene before officers arrived. The witness said she saw two men arguing inside the store and when she walked out of the store saw the men struggling on the ground and the suspect, 27-year-old Faysal Ibrahim, repeatedly trying to stab the other man. Officers reviewed surveillance video from the store and confirmed Ibrahim approaches the victim and a struggle ensues. Police say the video also shows Ibrahim pulling out a knife and making repeated stabbing motions. Police later interviewed the victim at the hospital who said Ibrahim approached him inside the store and asked for money. When the victim told him "no" and to "get a job", he said Ibrahim acted aggressively and then left the store. After paying for his items, the victim said he walked outside and was attacked. Court records indicate the victim suffered a minor stab wound to his buttocks and cuts to his hands. Ibrahim is charged with one count of 2nd-degree assault with a dangerous weapon.

--The Minnesota Department of Corrections (DOC) is requesting the public’s assistance in locating Daryl Brian Quagon, a person recently released from prison on Intensive Supervised Release whose whereabouts are currently unknown. Mr. Quagon is 56 years-old, 6 feet tall, and weighs approximately 190 lbs. He has black hair often worn in a ponytail and has brown eyes. He was placed on intensive supervised release in August after completing his term of incarceration at the Lino Lakes state prison. However, he recently left his home in Pine City, MN, without permission, and then removed his GPS monitoring bracelet in the area of Stone Lake, WI. He has not had contact with his supervision agent since. Mr. Quagon’s criminal history includes a 2000 conviction for 2nd degree Criminal Sexual Conduct and a 2019 conviction for Domestic Assault by Strangulation. Members of the public should not confront Mr. Quagon, but instead should call 911 immediately if he is seen. Anyone with information about Mr. Quagon’s whereabouts or activities should call 911.

--The Morrison County Public Works Department is happy to announce that the County State Aid Highway 1 Bridge over the Little Elk River in Randall has been reopened to traffic. There will still be some maintenance activity so please use caution around work crews. We would like to thank the local residents and all impacted users for their patience during the construction of this structure.

–A reminder that the Camp Ripley Retiree Seminar with speakers, breakfast and prizes will be today at the Camp Ripey Hangar, coffee before 8, speakers around 9, breakfast at 8:30am, you will need a photo ID to enter the Camp Ripley Military Base today.

--The Foley School District is celebrating the success of a late bus program. The program is funded by the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief fund, federal dollars to help mitigate the negative impacts of the pandemic. The funds provide buses to take kids home from after school programs. Superintendent Paul Neubauer says transportation is the main barrier from kids taking advantage of after school activities. Many of the after school activities kids attend are academic programs, to help them with their homework. Kids in the Foley School District often live miles away from the school, so walking is not an option. Neubauer says they are delivering about 50 kids each day.

--Tomorrow night is the White Sidewalls Rock and Roll Revue fundraiser concert for the St. Gabriel's Hospital Advocates. Tickets are at the gift shop at the hospital for $25, they will be $30 at the door. Come enjoy the music of the 50s and 60s with a great band and other items to help support the advocates and what they do for the local hospital, where donations have been in the thousands of dollars. Doors at the Falls Ballroom open at 6:30, show starts at 7:30pm.

The High School Football playoffs begins next Tuesday for some of the area teams, others are next Saturday. Volleyball playoffs also start next week on Thursday night.
