--The Morrison County Sheriff's Office reports that on Saturday around 11:37pm, their office received a report of an ATV accident with injuries on 1st Avenue West in Upsala. 58-year old Daniel Burggraff of Upsala was driving an ATV whe he fell off the ATV and sustained injuries to his head. He was transported to St. Gabriel’s Hospital. This case is still under investigation.

--The Stearns County Communications Center received the call of an incident on the Wobegon Trail just east of Sauk Centre near 415th Street in Sauk Centre Township at 12:22am Sunday. The caller reported several people injured on the trail including one person who was not breathing. Stearns County deputies, along with officers from the Sauk Centre Police Department and Melrose Police Department responded to the scene. Upon arrival they found Kolten Kuhlmann, 23, Margaret Stepan, 35, and Scott Nathe, 50, all of Sauk Centre, severely injured and on the Wobegon trail. Nathe was found unconscious and not breathing. All three parties were treated on scene and the transported to area hospitals. Nathe to the Sauk Centre hospital and Stepan and Kuhlman to the Melrose hospital. Deputies were informed that Wilder Kuhlmann, a fourth victim, had been taken to the Sauk Centre hospital by private vehicle. Nathe was later pronounced dead at the Sauk Centre Hospital. Wilder Kuhlmann was later airlifted from the Sauk Centre Hospital to the St Cloud hospital for further treatment. The initial investigation determined that Wilder Kuhlmann was operating a 2020 Polaris Sportsman 850 HD Class 1 ATV with Kolten Kuhlmann sitting on the front rack, westbound along the Wobegon Trail which is closed to motorized vehicles. The ATV struck Nathe and Stepan sending both parties down a steep embankment on each side of the trail. Both Wilder and Kolten Kuhlmann were thrown from the ATV and ended up alongside the trail. The crash remains under investigation, and alcohol does appear to be a contributing factor.

--A Hill City man is dead after a crash in Cass County Saturday night around 11:26pm on Highway 200. Patrick Swing was eastbound when he hit the shoulder of the highway entered driveway enbankment and rolled the vehicle being thrown from it as he was not wearing a seatbelt. Swing was reportedly taken to St. Mary's Hospital in Duluth but was pronounced dead on arrival. This was one of the many accidents on Minnesota roadways this past weekend. Which included an Osakis woman was injured Saturday afternoon in Brainerd, three injured including an infant child seriously in an accident around 6pm Friday in Bay Lake Township of Crow Wing County. There were three injury accidents in Mille Lacs County from Friday through Sunday and two in Otter Tail County according to the latest State Patrol report. Many accidents were said to be speed related and troopers are asking for motorists again to slow down.

--Two wildfires in the Brainerd lakes area over the weekend served as a sign of the extremely dry weather conditions felt in nearly all of the state this year. Crews in Garrison were into a third day Sunday of battling a fire that started about noon Friday back in the woods near Highway 169 and County Highway 26. Firefighters from Garrison and Deerwood were on hand to supply water and assist members of the Department of Natural Resources Forestry Division in extinguishing the fire, which Breun said had turned into a peat moss fire, meaning it was burning in the ground. The cause of the fire was not known.

--The Vietnam Veterans Memorial Replica “The Wall That Heals” has left Michigan and is on their way to Rice. The Wall That Heals will be leaving St. Michael's Catholic Church in St. Cloud this afternoon coming up Highway and than is expected to make its way through Rice around 3pm on this afternoon. It will be setup Wednesday morning at Rice Elementary School and training for volunteers that evening. The Wall That Heals will be open 24 hours a day starting on Thursday, through 2:00pm Sunday. This is hosted by the Rice American Legion Auxiliiary Unit 473. There is no admission fee.

--As weather permits, maintenance employees will be working on the following activities this week: Culvert work on CSAH 34 east of Buckman, CSAH 46 north of Little Falls, and CSAH 1 West of Little Falls. Shouldering work on CSAH 6, CSAH 53, CSAH 36 south of Little Falls, and County Road 236 west of Buckman. Traffic will be controlled by flaggers. Please use caution around work crews and flashing lights. Public Works employees continue to practice social distancing guidelines in their travels and on the various job sites as we continue to preserve and maintain Morrison County infrastructure.

--Wright County authorities are asking for your help identifying the man who robbed a Delano restaurant Sunday night. Authorities responded to the Subway store at 625 Babcock Boulevard East at around 8:15pm. An employee told deputies a man entered the store, approached the counter, said they had a weapon and demanded money. The suspect took an undisclosed amount of money and left the store on foot. Deputies searched the area with the help of the State Patrol Air unit, but were unable to find the suspect. The suspect is described as a white man in their 50's, about 5' 10" tall, wearing a white medical mask. Anyone who may have witnessed anything or has any information is asked to contact the Wright County Sheriff’s Office at 763-682-1162.

--The Wadena County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a burglary and vandalism at the Lutheran Church in Nimrod. The burglary was reported to the sheriff’s office August 7th. There was no forced entry into the church and there were a number of items taken from the church. Anyone with any information regarding this case is asked to contact Wadena County Sheriff’s office at 218-631-7600.

--More classic car shows this week tonight at the Royalton American Legion and also another special one is planned in tomorrow afternoon at Little Falls Care Center/Bridgeway Estates in Little Falls.

TWINS= Twins win it in extra innings last night 5-4 in 10 innings over the Indians to win their 3rd in a row. The Twins and Cleveland play game 2 tonight at 6:30pm on Q92 WYRQ.
CLASS C= The Class C State Tournament begins on Friday and for the Region 8C Teams this weekend, Sobieski takes on Windom Saturday at 1:30pm in Waconia, St. Stephen takes on Princeton Sunday at 1:30pm followed by Foley vs. Stark at 4:30pm both in Chaska.
