--The Little Falls Police Department would like to thank everyone who helped them look for Jeanine Greyblood this past weekend as many searched their properties, gave the police information or assisted with the investigation in anyway. Greyblood was found deceased Sunday afternoon and her husband has been arrested in the case. Little Falls Mayor Greg Zylka via the police department Facebook page stated that there will eventually be a gofundme for the children and family but until then, anyone willing to match his $100 donation can please do so and all money will go directly to Jeanine's Mother and the children. Mayor Zylka said you can call or text him at 320-232-9336.

--Sauk Rapids Police have made an arrest in a home break-in attempt that went viral on Facebook. Police Chief Perry Beise says they have arrested 18-year-old Drevion Hemingway of St. Cloud. The attempt was caught on doorbell camera video at a Sauk Rapids home early Tuesday morning. Police were called to the home in the 1200 block of 10th Avenue North just after 6am to investigate. The homeowners told officers the incident happened around 1am The homeowners reported hearing loud noises and checked the home surveillance cameras. The video showed a man forcefully kicking the front door, damaging it. The homeowner’s vehicle was also broken into, and items in it were reportedly pulled out and tossed around. Hemingway was arrested on Friday. He was booked into the Benton County Jail on suspicion of 1st-degree attempted burglary, 1st-degree criminal damage to property and tampering with a motor vehicle. No one was hurt in the incident and Hemingway never got into the home.

--The State Department of Health reported only 564 new cases and 3 new deaths on Monday's report. Morrison County reported no new cases Monday. The county website reported 2 more cases than Friday now at 31 active cases with 11 of those in the Little Falls Zip Code.

--Authorities say a 60-year-old man died when his pickup collided with a freight train in western Minnesota. The crash happened at about 8:45am Thursday at a crossing southeast of the city of Ottertail. Otter Tail County authorities say the pickup was struck on the passenger side by a northbound Canadian Pacific train. The pickup driver Joseph Mack was pronounced dead at the scene. Neither of the two crew members on the train was hurt.

--An Alexandria man is suspected of trafficking a woman between August and December, according to a Stearns County criminal complaint. 35-year old Michael Jamal Williams was charged with one felony count of engaging in sex trafficking of an individual and one felony count of receiving profits from prostitution. According to the criminal complaint against him, an investigator with the Central Minnesota Human Trafficking Task Force began a nearly two month long investigation in early December based on an ad posted on a website known to advertise prostitution. An investigator made arrangements to meet with a woman at a hotel in Stearns County with an "agreement to pay for sexual acts" in an attempt to recover the woman as a victim of sex trafficking. Investigators from the task force went to the hotel, and around the same time saw a man leaving that was later identified as Williams.

--51-year-old Paula Keener of Zimmerman was injured on Highway 169 near Princeton in Mille Lacs County. Monday at 7:20am when her vehicle left the road and struck the ditch. She was treated at a local hospital for non life threatening injuries.

--Little Falls Speech Team had Ellis Meyer: 2nd in Prose, Paige Kraus 1st in Original Oratory recently at speech competition on Saturday.

--This week, the first phase of the Federal Retail Pharmacy Program launches. Starting Thursday, the federal government will ship COVID-19 vaccines directly to some pharmacies on top of allocations to states. It will start with about 1 million doses per week that will go to 6,500 retail pharmacies across the country, eventually increasing to 40,000 drug stores. It's unclear at this time how many doses Minnesota will receive this week through the federal program.

--Two fatal accidents over the weekend, the first crash happened just before 8pm on Highway 65 in Mora in Kanabec County. A car was going south when it struck a pedestrian in the traffic lane. The pedestrian had been crossing the highway from east to west. The Minnesota State Patrol says the pedestrian has been identified as 57-year-old William Tinklenberg of Andover. He died at the scene. The second happened at about 9:30 p.m. on Highway 7 in Carver County near Lester Prairie. A pickup was going west when it collided with a car that was heading east. The driver of the car, 22-year-old Ashley Karjala of Hutchinson, was killed in the crash. The driver of the pickup, 41-year-old Johannes Booyens of Willmar and his passenger 45-year-old Matthys Herbst of Willmar, both have non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to the hospital in Waconia.

--On February 3rd at approximately 7:52pm, the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office received several phone calls about a fish house and truck on fire on Pearl Lake in Maine Prairie Township. This lake is located just to the east of the townsite of Marty. When Deputies and the Kimball Fire Department arrived on the scene, they found a 2003 white Chevy Silverado fully engulfed about 200 yards of the east shore. The owner of the truck and fish house 60-year old Bernard Gregory of Kimball said he was trying to work the fish house loose as it was stuck in the ice. Gregory noticed a small fire under the engine compartment and attempted to extinguish the fire by throwing snow on it. He went to his residence on the lake to obtain a fire extinguisher and returned to a fully engulfed truck. Kimball Fire Department extinguished the fire. There were no injuries.
