NEWS
--The Baxter woman missing for more than a week in May died by drowning. The Baxter Police Department on Monday released the Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s autopsy results for 53-year-old Jessie Eue of Baxter. Authorities recovered Eue’s body in a pond May 26 during a search on the north end of Cypress Drive in Baxter as part of the investigation into her disappearance. The autopsy report stated the likely cause of Eue’s death was freshwater drowning and noted Eue had a significant amount of water in her stomach. The toxicology report stated 5,700 nanograms per milliliter of diphenhydramine were present in Eue’s system, along with caffeine and a blood alcohol content of 0.032%. Diphenhydramine is an antihistamine in over-the-counter allergy medicines like Benadryl. The autopsy found no other significant injuries or trauma.

--The Brainerd Police Department is requesting the public's assistance in locating 64-year old John Ciminski of Brainerd. Ciminski was reported missing by his family Monday. Ciminski is described as a white male, 5 feet 11 inches tall, 250 pounds, brown hair and hazel eyes. He might be wearing a dark blue Minnesota Twins T-shirt and gray pants. Ciminski was last seen walking in North Brainerd around 8:00am Saturday. There are no known or suspected destinations. His welfare could be endangered due to a history of chronic medical conditions. --The St. Cloud Police Department responded to a report of gunshots Sunday afternoon, but no arrests have been made and no one was injured. The police department said in a press release Monday that officers responded to the 1200 block of 14th Street North around 12:17pm Sunday. Officers were notified that someone had shot a handgun and then gone into a house nearby. Police officers got a search warrant and the SWAT Team assisted in serving the warrant.

--A Crosby man was injured when his motorcycle rear ended a vehicle Sunday morning near Garrison in Crow Wing County. At 10:18am, 33-year-old Tyler Stiltman was northbound on Highway 169 when a vehicle driven by 58-year-old James Bellefeuille of Bloomington slowed down for traffic in front of him to turn and Stiltman rear ended the vehicle. Stiltman was taken to St. Cloud Hospital with serious but non life threatening injuries. Bellefeuille and his passenger were not injured in the accident.

--A Burtrum woman was injured in a two vehicle accident Saturday at 6:45pm in Douglas County near Carlos. 31-year-old Amanda Mann of Wadena was on Highway 29 at County Road 20 collided with a vehicle coming from the north driven by 67-year-old Gregory Peters from Burtrum. Mann, her passenger and Peters were not injured. A passenger in the Peters vehicle, 60-year-old Dianne Peters was taken to the hospital in Alexandria and treated for non-serious injuries.

--A reminder that there will be a farewell party of Steve Jones former Superintendent of Little Falls Schools and a meet the new current Superintendent Greg Johnson this Friday 7-9pm at Great River Arts.

--Maddie Ploof and Kaylan Peterson of Team 56345 spoke on KLTF yesterday about their student team of Our Town 56345. Brainstorming led them to put out coloring books, chalk art on sidewalks and a cornhole tournament to bring kids and adults alike together to show support for the community of Our Town 56345 to work on economic development, events, working with all ages from the very young and up to take part in their community. The group will be at Markets and Music on the Mississippi on July 28th and August 25th they have coloring items and info available at the businesses that are doing the summer bike charmed ride for stops and the chalk art is where you can do a chalk art at your home and send it to their website or facebook page at Our Town 56345 through the summer. The cornhole event is still in the works and tentatively planned for August 23rd at the High School Parking Lot for a chance to win prizes, there will be free registration but more details are still being put together and will be released later. --A St. Cloud man is suspected of several instances of violence against a woman over the course of about a week in July. 25-year old Jonathan William Strobel has been charged with four counts of felony domestic assault, two counts of felony third-degree assault and one count of felony threats of violence from several incidents reported to police. A woman reported several occasions over the course of about a week in early July which Strobel had threatened to kill her, threatened to light her home on fire, drug her across the floor and on multiple occasions and hitting her. Strobel does not yet have a hearing scheduled. He has been previously convicted of violating domestic abuse no contact orders in Minnesota.

--An Albany man is suspected of assaulting several people. 43-year-old Raymond Lloyd Tice has been charged with six counts of felony domestic assault. Police went to a home in Cold Spring on a report of a loud argument. People at the scene reported Tice was drunk and got into an argument, hit and slapped multiple people and attempted to choke one person. Tice has a hearing scheduled for Thursday. Tice was convicted of fifth degree assault in 2015 and misdemeanor domestic assault in 2016, both in Stearns County.

ASG= Juan Soto of the Washington Nationals won the Home Run Derby last night. The Major League Baseball All Star Game is tonight in Los Angeles, California. The Twins will be represented by outfielder Byron Buxton who will be in the starting lineup and infielder Luis Arreaz both making their first appearance in the All Star Game tonight. Rest of the Twins are off until Saturday.
NFL= the calendar says summer but NFL training camps begin this weekend for some teams, the Vikings open training camp July 30th.
