NEWS
--A reminder that the Little Falls Flyers will have a send-off for the baseball team at 9am from the horseshoe parking lot at the High School. All are encouraged to come and root on the Flyers as they leave for the State Tournament in Jordan today. Hear the game this afternoon vs. New Prague at 3pm on AM960 KLTF.

--The Morrison County Sheriff’s office reports that on Friday at approximately 4:29pm, they received a report of a one-vehicle accident on 360th Avenue near Riverside Road, approximately six miles north of Hillman in Richardson Township. According to the Sheriff’s Office, a vehicle driven by 35-year-old Travis Stegora of Hillman was traveling north on 360th Avenue. Stegora lost control of his vehicle, went in the ditch and rolled. Stegora was transported by North Air Care to North Memorial Hospital with unknown injuries.

--A 25-year-old motorcyclist has died after allegedly trying to run from police Saturday afternoon. According to the Minnesota State Patrol, just before 2:15pm, three bikes were speeding south on Highway 15. A St. Cloud Police officer spotted them and tried to pull them over, but they were unable to keep up due to their high rate of speed. The group attempted to exit onto 33rd Street South when one of the drivers, identified as Jacob Charles Olson of St. Cloud, lost control of his bike and struck the guardrail He was thrown from his motorcycle and rushed to CentraCare St. Cloud Hospital where he died. The state patrol is still investigating. There is no report on the identity of the other two drivers or if they have been located.

--A Paynesville man was killed when the semi he was driving rolled. The Minnesota State Patrol says the incident happened at about 4:30pm Sunday on Highway 40 near Kerkhoven in Chippewa County.
61-one-year-old Kevin Blonigen was driving east when his rig left the road and rolled. He died at the scene.

--A Sauk Rapids man was hurt in a head-on crash near Kimball Sunday afternoon. The incident happened around 1:15pm on Highway 15. The Minnesota State Patrol says a car going south and a pickup truck going north and collided on the highway. The driver of the truck, 43-year-old Michael Golombiecki, was taken to St. Cloud Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the car, 16-year-old Eden Schwartz of South Haven, and her passenger, 13-year-old Avery Richmond of South Haven, were not hurt in the crash.

--One person was hurt in a motorcycle crash in Paynesville Saturday morning. The Minnesota State Patrol says shortly before 10:00am, two motorcycles going north on Business 23 West collided near the entrance to Casey's gas station. One of the drivers, 33-year-old Nicholas Warborg of Parker Prairie, was treated with non-life-threatening injuries. The other driver from Henning, was not hurt.

--CHI Health at Home Hospice is hosting their 2nd Memorial Event and dedication of the Ribbon Tree. A time to remember loved ones to put a ribbon on the tree. This is the 2nd year for the event at Maple Island Park in Little Falls at 2pm this Saturday, bring a lawn chair and ribbon to tie on the tree. Prior to the Little Falls event will be the first one of these events in Pierz, that event will be at noon on Saturday at Billig Park near the Fire Station on Main Street in Pierz. You can bring your own ribbon to either event or one can be provided for you to remember a loved on who has passed away. For more information on either event call Blaine MacNeil at 320-631-5588.

--Habitat for Humanity of Morrison County thanks all the groups, including the 4 man team of Little Falls Radio who finished 2nd yesterday at Eagles Landing, for being in the golf outing yesterday. Pictures on the LF Radio Facebook page.

--Morrison County Public Works contractor’s will be closing CSAH 1 north of Randall and CSAH 26 east of Royalton for Box Culvert replacements starting tomorrow. Traffic should follow the signed detour routes in these areas. Road construction will continue on CR 234 in Royalton, CR 253 west of Pierz an on CSAH 47 from State Trunk Highway 25 to State Trunk Highway 27. Bituminous milling and reclamation will begin on CR 253 and CR 255 west of Pierz this week. Motorists are reminded to use caution in construction zones and obey construction signing and flaggers. Please use caution and slow down around the mowers and the work crews. Be aware that loose material may be present in driving lanes during some maintenance activities.

--Three under the age of 18 were injured, the driver seriously when their vehicle turned in front of a semi-truck on Highway 200 in Cass County Monday around 11:50am. The impact caused the smaller car to veer off the road and land on its side. The driver, age 16 was seriously injured and taken to Bemidji Hospital for treatment, two others ages 9 and 13 were injured but released after being treated at an area hospital. The semi driver from Bemidji was not hurt.

--Jacki Devine wanted to thank all you competed at the River Rat Race Saturday at Belle Prairie Park. Overall winners for the 4K was Benjamin Daniels a 13 year old from Ramsey, the top female finisher was Emma Catlin a 16 year old from Little Falls. Winners in the 8K was Tyler Moore, 24 year old from Little Falls, the top female finisher in the 8K was Wanda Gau, age 61 of Little Falls. The Team Winner was the team of SCRR. There was also Minnesota age records set at the River Rat Race as Wanda Gau at 61 finished 5th from Little Falls but also Kathy Peterson, age 80 of Outing finished 33rd in the 8K and then Alan Phillips age 88 of Minneapolis finished 54th in the 8K. Again thanks to all that ran. More running events are planned for later this summer that you can find out about by contacting Jacki at her email at jackidevine16@gmail.com. There next race is this Saturday already and will be during the Motley June Days event at their fairgrounds.

--Ian Saltmarsh is a Military Veteran who is canoeing up the Mississippi River where he left from St. Paul May 31st and will be the Little Falls area this week. He is calling it Travel for a Cure which he is doing to support Movember Foundation on health and fitness and other health issues to get their support. Ian will be the guest on KLTF Party Line today at 10:05am on AM960 KLTF and online by streaming at fallsradio.com to talk about his excursion.

HS BAB= The State High School Baseball Tournament begins today with Class A in St. Cloud, Class AA in St. Cloud, Class AAA in Jordan and Class AAAA in St. Paul. Foley vs. Perham in St. Cloud at 12:30pm, Sartell vs. Rosemount at 3pm in St. Paul and Little Falls will face New Prague at 3pm today from Jordan.
