NEWS
--Today is “Super Tuesday” as a number of states including Minnesota will hold Presidential Primaries for the Republican and DFL Party. Polls for voting are open from 7am to 8pm today around the state of Minnesota but you will need to ask for a Republican or a DFL ballot and only vote party lines in the Primary unlike the November elections. The DFL side will have a number of candidates who have already suspended their campaigns that includes Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar who announced yesterday she will support former Vice-President Joe Biden for President. The only name on the Republican ballot will be President Donald J. Trump.

--At 6:41pm on Saturday the Crow Wing County Sheriff's office received a 911 call about a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle near the intersection of County Road #3 and County Road #109 in Mission Township. Upon arrival of deputies and first responders, a 51-year old Merrifield man was found lying in the northbound lane of County Road #3. The male was pronounced deceased at the scene and later transported to the Ramsey County Coroner’s Office for an autopsy. A single vehicle was traveling northbound on County Road #3 when it struck the male victim who appeared to be in the lane of traffic. The victim was dressed all in black. The driver of the vehicle immediately stopped and is cooperating with law enforcement. The identities of the driver and victim are being withheld pending further investigation and notification of family members.

--Maintenance crews have started crack sealing roads this week. This will include CSAH 45 (from CSAH 47 to the Crow Wing County line), and County Roads 270 and 272 in the northeast part of county. Crews will work in one lane, and flaggers will control traffic. Please use caution around these work zones. Crews will also be out patching potholes again this week, which will include CSAH 1 (north of Randall), and along CSAH 26 (west of Royalton.) Crews will also start sweeping intersections along county roads as weather permits.

--Authorities are investigating a shooting that took place in St. Cloud early Sunday morning. The St. Cloud Police Department says officers responded to a report of gunshots in the 600 block of 1st Street South just before 1:30am. Authorities say officers who were in the area at the time also heard the shots. Officers say when they arrived at the scene they found an unoccupied vehicle damaged from the shooting. No one was hurt in the incident and no one is in custody.

--Nobody was injured in a garage fire that did $5,000 damage early Sunday morning at an apartment complex at 2609 Goettens Way, according to a St. Cloud Fire Department report. Firefighters responded about 4:12am Sunday to find a five-stall detached garage on fire. Fire crews quickly extinguished the blaze, containing it to just one stall. The cause was under investigation.

--A teenager was hurt in a rollover crash in Todd County on Sunday morning. The incident happened on Interstate 94 near West Union around 5:30am. The Minnesota State Patrol says a car was going west on Interstate 94 near 137th street when the driver fell asleep, overcorrected into the right ditch and rolled over. The 16-year-old driver was taken to Sauk Centre Hospital with unknown injuries. Her name has not been released.

--Daylight Saving Time returns Sunday at 2am, remember to turn the clocks one hour ahead this weekend Saturday night or before 2am Sunday. Also check the batteries in the smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors to make sure that they are working properly.

--The Friends of Linden Hill are hoping to host a 2nd annual Little Falls Community Easter Egg Hunt on the grounds of the Linden Hill historic estate here in Little Falls on the Saturday before Easter this year- April 11th. Children 10 & Under are encouraged to come and take pare at 10am at the Linden Hill Historic Estate. Free of charge. The Friends of Linden Hill would once again invite/ask businesses and civic organizations to partner with them by sponsoring 500 filled eggs. Also they are looking to have at least 20 businesses or organizations to partner with Linden Hill to help in the delivering of the 500 filled eggs to the estate and place on the grounds. All Sponsoring businesses/organizations that partners in the event will receive recognition through as many avenues as we are able to utilize including but not limited to social media, print and signage.

--More than 100 U.S. Air Force Airmen and four C-130 Hercules aircraft from the Minnesota Air National Guard's 133rd Airlift Wing will be returning home Wednesday and Friday from a six month deployment to the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility. During the course of their time overseas, the Airmen were responsible for the maintenance of the C-130 Hercules aircraft, along with the transportation of cargo and passengers. The C-130 Hercules, H3 model has been with the 133rd Airlift Wing since 1996. It has the capable of operating from rough, dirt strips and is the prime transport for airdropping troops and equipment into hostile areas. Two of the four deployed aircraft recently achieved a milestone of passing 10,000 flying hours. The 133rd Airlift Wing has a proud heritage as part of the Minnesota Air National Guard. It was the first federally-recognized aviation squadron in the United States. It will be celebrating 100 years of history in July 2021.

--Mark you calendars for the annual Kinship Soup and Chili Cookoff for kids, which will be March 31st at the Falls Ballroom.

ENTERTAINMENT NEWS
--Judge Judy Sheindlin announced Monday that the upcoming season of her show Judge Judy will be her last as it will be the 25th season. The 77 year old stated that she is likely not done with television as a new show with her hosting is already in the works next year.
