NEWS
--The Annual Community Thanksgiving Meal will be 11am-1pm on Thursday, November 28th (Thanksgiving Day) at Little Falls Community High School commons. Tim Sumner is in need of 80 volunteers for the event this year to help before with set up, during the meal, after the meal with cleanup and even the night before to get ready. If you can help please call Tim at 632-2540. Desserts of any kind (pies, cakes cookies etc.) can be dropped off the day of the event 28th after 8am at the high school and Tim said they could use some drivers to give rides to those you are unable to drive to the event, these are also being put together to bring all to this free event. Call Tim at 632-2540 to help out. Also businesses this year are giving away door prizes at the meal on November 28th.

--A 45-year-old man was injured Friday after his vehicle rear-ended a fuel tanker semitractor-trailer on Highway 10, south of Little Falls in Morrison County. The Minnesota State Patrol responded to the crash at 9:44am, The fuel tanker semitrailer was traveling north on Highway 10 from 113th Street in Little Falls Township with its hazard lights on. A Chevrolet Impala was also traveling north on Highway 10 and struck the rear of the semitrailer. The driver of the Impala, Michael K. Porter of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported by ambulance to St. Gabriel’s Hospital in Little Falls. It was unknown if Porter was wearing a seat belt. The driver of the fuel tanker, Nicholas R. Peterson, age 29 of Baxter was not injured.

--The Morrison County Sheriff's Office reported Monday that the RV that was stolen northeast of Harding on the southside of Sullivan Lake has been located in Mille Lacs County and returned to its owners. The investigation into the theft is still under investigation. The Sheriff's Office thanks all for their assistance in this incident.

--A St. Cloud woman was hurt in a two-vehicle crash in Benton County. The Minnesota State Patrol says it happened just after 6:30pm Sunday on Highway 23. A car driven by 25-year-old Lorena Delvillar of St. Cloud was going northeast on the highway when it came to a stop at the intersection with 14th Street Southeast to make a left turn. Meanwhile, a second car driven by 27-year-old Kya Lehr of St. Cloud was going southwest on the highway when troopers say she ran the red light and caused the two vehicles to collide. Lehr was taken to St. Cloud Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Her passenger, 31-year-old Sebastian Rachal of St. Cloud, was not hurt. Delvillar was not hurt.

--A Paynesville man was hurt in a crash in Richmond on Sunday afternoon. The incident happened shortly after noon on Highway 23 at Highway 22. The Minnesota State Patrol says a car and an SUV were both going west on Highway 23 when one of the vehicles made a lane change, causing the two to collide. The driver of the car, 68-year-old Robert Stoneburner, was taken to Paynesville Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Authorities say he was not wearing a seatbelt. 67-year-old Katherine Johannes of Richmond, was not hurt.

--Though the calendar says November and we're just starting to see the formation of ice on area lakes and ponds; already a man needed to be rescued for falling through the ice. According to the Isanti County Sheriff's Office, a man needed to be rescued after falling through the ice about thirty yards offshore on Skogman Lake near Cambridge. The man had already pulled himself out of the water when authorities arrived. He was wet and cold but not injured. A reminder that the ice on area lakes is no where near safe.

--Morrison County Sheriff Shawn Larsen stated Monday that “Our agency would like to thank all the media outlets that are helping us keep the Terry Brisk story alive, which is the opposite of what Terry’s killer wants. Again, if you have any information or you may have heard anything about this case, please call our agency at (320) 632-9233 and ask to speak with an investigator. This case will remain a priority until the suspect is held accountable for their actions”. Last Thursday, November 7th was the 3 year anniversary of the incident which resulted in the homicide death of Terry Brisk of the Little Falls area. Little Falls Radio and many television stations, radio stations and newspapers have ran the story and the quotes and the videos on the case in hope of finding the person responsible for Terry's death.

--A Columbia Heights man was injured Friday night around 9:15pm in Oak Township of Stearns County. 27-year-old Scott Ziegler was on Interstate 94 when he crossed into the median and struck the cable barrier. He was treated at the Melrose Hospital.

--The Becker Police Department has released more information about Saturday's vehicle pursuit that ended with a crash at a gas station. Becker Police Chief Brent Baloun says the department received a driving complaint around 2:00 p.m. of a car heading toward Becker on Highway 10 near County Road 11. Officers say they spotted the vehicle driving at around 110 miles per hour near County Road 137 and tried to stop it as it entered the city. Authorities say the driver turned onto County Road 23 to avoid police but lost control, and then slid into and knocked over a gas pump at the Shell gas station. Police say the vehicle also hit another vehicle while making the turn, causing minor damage. Officers arrested the driver, 30-year-old Jenna Paige of Glencoe, at the scene. She was taken to the Sherburne County Jail where she faces charges of fleeing police in a motor vehicle, DUI test refusal, reckless driving, speeding, and fleeing the scene of an accident. Authorities say Paige may face additional charges pending an investigation.

ENTERTAINMENT NEWS
--Wheel of Fortune Host Pat Sajak underwent emergency surgery for a blocked intestine last Thursday causing the taping of the game show to stop. Sajak had hosted since 1982. Vanna White will replace Sajak as host during his time off to heal. Fans will notice Vanna as the host starting December 9th. Vanna has hosted the program before in different stints starting in 1996 when Sajak had taken ill.
