NEWS
--The Little Falls Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce their November Employee of the Month is Julia Mueller at Linden Hill Historic Event Center. The Board of Directors says as their Executive Director, she is constantly dealing with contractors, vendors, guests, members and a wide variety of volunteers, all while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor. Congratulations Julia Mueller, Little Falls Area Chamber of Commerce November employee of the month.

--A man was injured after a shot was fired from a passing vehicle on Sunday south of Staples. The Todd County Sheriff's Office reports they responded to the assault at 7:04pm on County Road 21, just south of County Road 24. The victim was driving south on County Road 21 when struck by a bullet discharged from a passing vehicle. The man was struck in the leg by the bullet. The suspect vehicle continued north on County Road 21 and possibly turned west onto State Highway 210, according to a Todd County Sheriff news release. The victim was unable to provide any details of the suspect vehicle due to it being dark out. Deputies processed the scene and collected evidence related to the investigation. Evidence of gunfire was collected on the roadway. The victim was treated and released from the Lakewood Hospital for injuries sustained in the incident. The incident remains under investigation and law enforcement asks that anyone that observed any suspicious vehicles or hearing gunshots in the area to contact the Sheriff's Office at (320) 732-2158.

--A Motley man was involved in an injury accident that injured the other driver. At 8:41am Monday 58-year old Martin Bosch of Motley was eastbound on Highway 210 as Judith Christopherson (unknown age) was northbound on Carlton County Road 61. Christopherson pulled onto highway 210 striking the Bosch vehicle in the passenger side. Judith Christopherson was treated at Moose Lake hospital for non-life threatening injuries. No other injuries were reported.

--The St. Cloud Diocese announced that a St. Cloud priest has been put on leave after being accused of inappropriate behavior. The Diocese says questions and concerns regarding potential actions by Father Joe Herzing were recently brought to the attention of church officials. Father Herzing served at Christ Church Newman Center on St. Cloud State University’s Campus and St. Anthony of Padua church in St. Cloud. In a statement, Bishop Donald Kettler said Father Herzing agreed to take time off and undergo a professional evaluation per diocesan protocols. In the meantime, Father Robert Harren will serve as administrator of Father Herzing’s parishes. The Bishop says he will provide more information when he can. Bishop Kettler asks people to keep Father Herzing and all those impacted in their prayers. Father Herzing grew up on a dairy farm in Milaca. He graduated from Metro State University with a degree in History and went to seminary at St. John’s University and the University of St. Thomas. He was previously assigned to the parishes at Perham, Lastrup and the Tri Parish in Little Falls.

--A Becker police officer was hurt during an altercation with a man. On Saturday just after 4:30pm, Becker Police Officers were called regarding a welfare check at a home on the 11000 block of 35th Avenue. While officers were investigating the request, an intoxicated man at the residence became belligerent and attacked a Becker Police Officer. With the assistance of other officers, the man was ultimately subdued and taken into custody. The officer was injured during the arrest and sustained a possible broken hand. The man arrested has been identified as 35-year-old Marty Johann of Becker.

--The Morrison County Sheriff's Office reported Monday that two goats were found on 160th Avenue in Little Falls Township. If you have information on who they belong to call 320-632-9233. They also sent out info from Todd County a report from Sunday of a missing 11 year old juvenile runaway but since the first post the Todd County Sheriff's Office stated the juvenile has been located safe.

--Kathy Marshik informed Little Falls Radio that on November 11th there will be a free tour for Veterans at the Bank Square Plaza in downtown Little Falls. You must present your DD214, discharge papers or ID card for the free tour, otherwise there is a $5 charge for all others to come and take in the tour of the building. Tours will take a little over an hour with check in, briefing and checking out all three levels of the plaza. To reserve your slot call Kathy 320-630-4236 before November 10th. The tours will be from 9:30-11, 11:30-1 and then 1:30-3pm on that Friday, Veterans Day November 11th.

--The Foley City Council reported that Casey’s General Store in Foley failed its second compliance check on October 25th and now may face a $600 fine. Under Minnesota statute, a business that fails a tobacco compliance check faces a $300 fine, but the second failed check in 36 months requires a $600 fine and a $1000 fine for the third infraction. Annual compliance checks are required by Minnesota state statute. When the City Council holds their next meeting meeting, Casey’s General Store officials and the Foley City Council will discuss ways to prevent minors from acquiring tobacco products.

--A Princeton man now holds the state record for a muskie caught recently on Lake Mille Lacs. Erik Bakke caught the 58.25 pound muskie with his fishing partner Jon Blood back on June 11th. They netted, measured, took a picture and then released the fish. It took come time for the DNR to verify the catch and that it had broken the state record for largest muskie. The DNR just recently added Bakke to their names of current record holders.

WS= Game 3 of the Phillies and Astros was postponed last night due to rain in Philadelphia. Game 3 will be tonight, with now Game 4 Wednesday and Game 5 on Thursday of this week for World Series.
