NEWS
--Around 2:40pm on Friday the Morrison County Sheriff ‘s Office received a report of a one vehicle rollover near the intersection of Balcony Road and 60th Street, approximately three miles northwest of Upsala in Elmdale Township. 21-year old Carter Loven from Swanville was traveling north on Balcony Road. Loven’s vehicle went into the ditch, hit a road approach and rolled. Loven was transported to St. Cloud Hospital by ambulance with unknown injuries.

--Minnesota corrections officials say they're looking for a convicted killer who is on supervised release. The Department of Corrections says 40-year old Joshua Hendrickson was released from the St. Cloud prison last year after serving about 18 years for fatally stabbing Christopher Nelson and injuring a second man. The stabbings happened at a house party in Halma. The agency says Hendrickson, of Karlstad, was placed on supervised release after he got out of prison and has been a fugitive since last week.

--The Morrison County Sheriff's Office and Little Falls Police department continue to receive calls of suspicious activity in the past week. The police department also responded to two domestic disturbances which did not lead to any arrests. The sheriff's office assisted police with a felony stop last Tuesday in northeast Little Falls. The man pulled what was a fake gun on officers and was taken into custody on burglary charges. The Sheriff's Office assisted firefighters in a shed fire last Tuesday on 120th Avenue, a wood stove on fire on 233rd Street and back on the 16th a fire in a building under construction at Camp Ripley where security officials were able to extinguish it before authorities arrived. Deputies arrested a 33-year old man on November 18th on domestic assault in Motley and a 36-year old man for possession of stolen items on Gordon Circle. The sheriff's office also responded to a number of disturbance and suspicious activity calls dating back to November 15th.

--One man was hurt in a shooting outside of a house party in south St. Cloud early Sunday morning. The incident happened in the 1400 block of 9th Avenue South just after 4:00am. The St. Cloud Police Department says several people at the house party went outside onto 14th Street South where a verbal dispute turned into a physical fight. The 34-year old victim was shot in the abdomen during the fight. He was taken to St. Cloud Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, and his name has not been released. Police say the adult male suspect left the scene before they got there. They also say he left in a vehicle with several other people who were attending the party. Just after 4:30am on Sunday morning, authorities found the suspect vehicle in the 200 block of 10th Avenue North. The suspect was not found inside the vehicle, and at this time has not been located. St. Cloud Police are continuing to investigate.

--Two people were hurt in a single-vehicle crash in Foley on Sunday afternoon. The incident happened on Highway 23 by County Road 6 just before 12:30pm. The Minnesota State Patrol says a pick-up truck was going west on Highway 23 when it veered right, crossed the eastbound lanes and went into the ditch. The truck hit the field approach, went into the air, struck a tree, and came to rest after spinning out 180 degrees. The driver of the truck, 77-year-old Andrew Nissen of Mora, and his passenger, 77-year old Kay Levasseur of White Bear Lake, were both taken to St. Cloud Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

--The Morrison County Sheriff’s Office and Chaplain Gregg Valentine would like to thank everyone who came out to the Chaplaincy Pizza Fundraiser Sunday where $3,800 dollars was raised for the program. Not included were the many items donated for the coat drive and food shelf in Morrison County. Thanks to all that came and ate.

--A regional collaborative designed to help create system wide consistency and assist families in finding and securing quality childcare has been given top honors by the Humphrey School of Public Affairs at the University of Minnesota. The Region V+ Family Child Care Licensing Collaboration received the first place Local Government Innovation Award, County category. The initiative has created an innovative solution for family childcare licensing by combining the licensing roles of seven counties into three regional licensors. This effort addresses a workforce shortage, creates consistency in the application of regulations across the counties, and eliminates the duplication of efforts within its counties. Counties involved include Morrison, Becker, Cass, Crow Wing, Douglas, Todd, and Wadena. The awards recognize projects in up to five categories, and name up to one Leading Innovator in each: cities, counties, schools, townships and Native nations.

--Todd County is investigating two burglary calls in Clarissa north of Browerville on Friday. Tina Rausch reported that sometime between 6am and noon someone entered her residence and stole jewelry and other items. Another caller also told deputies that someone had attempted to break in to their home and garage but did not appear that anything was taken. The second caller lived only a few houses from Rausch. The Todd County Sheriffs Office is investigating this burglary. If anyone has any information about this crime they are asked to contact the sheriffs office.

--A man is in custody after he reportedly drove his vehicle into the security gates of the Governor's Residence in St. Paul on purpose Sunday night. The incident happened around 9:30pm at the mansion. A 59-year old man from Center City was booked into the Ramsey County Jail on suspicion of felony damage to property and terroristic threats. That driver was stopped by the governor's State Patrol security detail before he could enter the grounds. The Governor was at home at the time but never in danger as the State Patrol quickly contained the situation.

NATIONAL NEWS
--NASA has successfully landed the InSight spacecraft on Mars. NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory says the Mars mission streaked into the planet's atmosphere at 12-thousand miles per hour, and slowed by retro rockets and a giant parachute helped its 77-mile descent to the ground. The Insight lander will monitor seismic activity by drilling 16-feet underground, to give scientists a better understanding of how Mars evolved. The spacecraft landed around 2:00pm Monday.
