--A reminder from Morrison County Auditor/Treasurer Chelsey Robinson that the 2nd half of real estate tax payments are due today. Your payment must be postmarked by today October 15th, and can be dropped off at the government center, or dropped off at the payment box located at Broadway and 2nd Street SE. For more information contact the Auditor/Treasurer's office at 632-0151.

--The Little Falls Police Department reported a string of thefts and burglaries reported between October 4th through the 8th in Northeast Little Falls. The police department reported the thefts mostly occurred at night, one report of a burglary to a garage on 6th Street Northeast. The police department stated if you notice suspicious activity in the area to contact Little Falls Police at 616-5570.

--The Cass and Aitkin County Sheriff's Offices are asking hunters to watch for a missing woman from Outing. It was reported that 35-year old Michelle Mae was last seen in the Outing Area on October 2nd. Now almost two weeks later there still has been no sign of her. A hunter located Mae’s missing 2004 Jeep Liberty October 4th in Aitkin County near Swatara, southwest of Hill City. Michelle Mae is caucasian with green eyes, dark-rimmed glasses and short, dark hair. She is 5 feet, 1 inch tall and has several tattoos on her forearms. The sheriff’s office is asking hunters in the area to watch for any signs of Mae. Anyone with information on her whereabouts is urged to contact the sheriff’s office at 218-927-2138 or dial 911.

--A Wadena man was seriously injured in a three-vehicle crash Saturday on Highway 10 in Wadena Township. The Minnesota State Patrol reported 87-year old Arthur George Tellers attempted to cross the eastbound lanes of Highway 10 at 141st Avenue in in his Chevrolet Impala when he was struck by a Ram Truck driven by 25-year old Ronal Peter Kremers of Rockville. A Dodge Stratus, driven by 23-year old Mitchell Lee Tiede of Verndale, was behind Kremers’ truck. Tiede’s car avoided hitting the truck but then struck Tellers’ car before Tellers came to rest in the median. Tellers, who was wearing a seatbelt, was transported to St. Cloud Hospital for life-threatening injuries. Tiede, Kremers and Kremers’ passenger, 22-year old Kali Jo Kremers, were not injured. All parties were wearing seatbelts.

--Stearns County reported alcohol a factor in one vehicle crash in St. Wendel Township. Kyle Viehauser, 26, of St. Joseph, was driving his 2000 Buick Le Sabre southbound on County Road 2 when it left the roadway, hit a field approach and rolled onto its roof. Viehauser said he swerved to avoid a deer. Viehauser was wearing his seat belt.

--The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch Center received a call of a vehicle involved in an accident near County Road 33 and 233rd Street in Zion Township just before 2am Sunday. Deputies arrived in the area and located a one vehicle accident on County Road 33 near 230th St. A 2015 Ford F-150 pickup truck was in the ditch and appeared to have rolled numerous times shearing off a power pole. Initially officers were unable to locate anyone with the vehicle. While on scene, a second vehicle arrived at the crash location and the driver said he had a male in the passenger seat who walked up to his house and was believed to be the driver of the truck. The male, Brady Wuertz, 32, of Paynesville, admitted he was the driver of the pickup. Wuertz was transported to the Paynesville Hospital for treatment of his injuries. Alcohol is believed to be a factor.

--Crane Meadows will be hosting their Disabled Deer Hunt today and Wednesday southeast of Little Falls, for info 632-1575.

--Minnesota Power reminds its residential customers who may have difficulty paying their energy bills in winter that help is available. The Minnesota Cold Weather Rule will protect eligible customers from service disconnection during the winter as long as they take steps to ensure that protection. Under the statute, eligible residential energy customers are protected from service disconnection from October 15th through April 15th if the disconnection would affect the customer’s primary heating source. Customers must work out a monthly payment plan with Minnesota Power to be protected. The Minnesota Cold Weather Rule does not prevent winter shutoff if customers don’t commit to a payment plan and don’t make the agreed-to payments on time. Any residential customer who receives a proposed shutoff notice during the winter should act promptly and contact Minnesota Power to set up a payment plan or for more information.

--A shed fire in rural Litchfield destroyed numerous pieces of farm equipment on Friday. The Meeker County Sheriff's Office says Litchfield and Dassel fire crews responded to the Milton Housman property along Highway 11 in Darwin Township around 6:30pm. When emergency crews arrived on scene a 70'x40' shed was fully engulfed. No one was hurt and the cause of the fire is unknown. The shed and all of its contents are a total loss.

--“The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940” is being performed by Great River Arts in a dinner theater production this Thursday through Saturday and the following week October 24th-26th. The doors open at 5pm, dinner at 6pm and show at 7pm. Tickets can be purchased at GRA and online at www.greatart.org.

NFL= Green Bay Packers pulled off a last second win over the Detroit Lions last night 23-22. Packers are now 5-1.
MLB= Washington beat St. Louis 8-1 last night to now lead 3-0 in the NLCS and could wrap up the series today in DC. Game 3 of the ALCS is tonight in New York, Yankees and Astros are tied at 1.
