--This week is National 4-H week. Morrison County has many clubs for 4-H. They are Boots-n-Buckles who meet north of Pierz. Culdrum Comets who meet in Swanville, Darling Thunderbirds who meet in Randall, Dynamites who meet in the Harding area. Livestock Legends who meet in Sobieski, MC Hoofbeats meet in Little Falls, Ripley Fireballs meet in Ripley Township, Scandia Firebirds meet in Scandia Valley, Snappy Elmdalers meet in Upsala, and Two Rivers Trailblazers meet in Bowlus. --The decision about who will get Minnesota's designated frontline worker pay and when that money will be distributed was announced Monday and checks will be sent out will begin on Wednesday. Governor Tim Walz stated that the Department of Labor and Industry wrapped up the appeals process Monday and 1,025,655 Minnesota frontline workers will receive $487.45 to recognize their work on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic. State officials will begin sending payments Wednesday and will continue to process payment information through the fall. This all comes from a law Governor Tim Walz signed back in April, allocating half a million dollars to be split between people working specific jobs in the first part of the pandemic. In August, more than 214,000 applications were denied. Those people had the chance to appeal which the process was done Monday to see if any more would be added to list.

--A Waite Park man is facing assault charges after an incident that happened over the weekend. The Waite Park Police Department says officers first responded to a report of a man leaving a home in the 200 block of 10th Avenue North, and threatening and pointing a gun at a person walking in the area around 2:20am Friday morning. Authorities say officers knocked on the door when they arrived, but no one answered. Police returned to the home around 10:30pm. to try to talk to the residents again. Officials say no one answered, but while police were in the area a man, 37-year-old Frank Tamburro Jr. of Waite Park, started to leave the house. Authorities say he was carrying a gun and reentered the home when they tried to speak to him. The St. Cloud Police SWAT team assisted at the scene as authorities set up a perimeter, evacuated nearby homes, and negotiated with Tamburro. The standoff continued for several hours until shortly after 2am Saturday when authorities used a warrant to enter the home and arrest Tamburro. He was taken to the Stearns County Jail and faces felony 2nd-degree assault charges.

--A Montrose woman is dead and two people from Winsted were seriously hurt in a Wright County crash Monday afternoon. Emergency crews were dispatched to the intersection of County Road 30 and County Road 110 southwest of Montrose at about 2:30pm for a two-vehicle crash. First responders arrived to find 52-year-old Molly Bickman dead at the scene. The driver of the other car, 71-year-old Sharon Lachermeier, and her passenger, 72-year-old William Norman were taken to the hospital by Lifelink helicopter and Ridgeview ambulance. The Wright County Sheriff's Office says Bickman was driving her SUV south on County Road 110 and Lachermeier was westbound on County Road 30 when the two vehicles collided. The crash remains under investigation.

--Get tickets to the White Sidewalls at the Falls Ballroom Friday, October 14th a fundraiser for St. Gabriel's Hospital Advocates. Tickets are at the hospital gift shop this week for the show next Friday.

--The KLTF Memory Game is back today listen 6:30-9am to play.

--A man has died after going on an ATV ride over the weekend. The Cass County Sheriff's Office says on Saturday just before 3pm they were notified of a missing man in the Foothills State Forest/Spider Lake ATV Recreation Area. A group of people reported to a Conservation Officer that a 54-year-old man from Center City had left the campsite on an ATV at about 8:30am Saturday and was supposed to return a short time later. At about 5:45pm Saturday the man's body was found following a search by deputies and others at the scene. Deputies believe the man's ATV left the trail on a curve and entered a steep ravine and rolled over. The name was not released.

--Three people were killed when the airplane they were riding in crashed into a house late Saturday night. The Hermantown police department says All three individuals in the Cessna 172 died in the airplane crash. The airplane hit the second floor of a home before coming to rest in the backyard of the property. The two occupants of the home were not injured.

--Fire crews from six departments responded to a fire at a nursery in Maple Grove on Sunday. A passerby called 911 to report a fire at Lynde Greenhouse & Nursery. Heavy fire involving landscaping and gardening supplies prompted an upgrade to third alarm bringing firefighters from Brooklyn Park, Osseo, and Plymouth to the scene. Additional crews were requested from Dayton and Rogers. There were no injuries, although there is heavy damage and fire loss.

--The Minnesota State Patrol reported a serious injury accident Monday at 12:18pm in Aitkin County. The state patrol stated that two vehicles collided head on Highway 18. 36-year-old Nicole Austin of McGrath sustained life threatening injuries in the accident and was airlifted to a hospital in Duluth. The driver and passenger in the other vehicle 72-year-old James Hecker and 68-year-old Debra Hecker both from Wyoming, Minnesota had non-life threatening injuries.

--Two people were injured Sunday in a two-vehicle accident in Kanabec County. Four people including three teenagers were in one vehicle that turned in front of another causing the accident. One of the passengers 64-year-old Sherry Synkiew of Brooklyn Park had non life threatening injuries. The other driver 37-year-old Leanna Smith of Mora had non life threatening injuries in the accident. The first driver was a 19-year-old and was cited for distracted driving according to the state patrol report. No others were injured in the accident.

SPORTS
TWINS= White Sox come back to beat Twins last night 3-2. The Twins and White Sox game 2 tonight at 6:30pm on Q92 WYRQ. It was also announced Tony LaRussa the manager of the White Sox has stepped down citing health reasons for his decision to the team.
MLB= though the Twins and White Sox will not make the playoffs the wildcard series and other games are being set as Houston, New York Yankees and Cleveland won divisions and wild cards in the AL are Toronto, Tampa Bay and Seattle. National League you have Atlanta, St. Louis and Los Angeles with New York Mets, San Diego and Philadelphia taking the wild card spots. Games start Friday.
