NEWS
--Police are investigating a shooting that took place in St. Cloud early Sunday morning. The incident happened in the 300 block of 6th Avenue South around 2:30am. The St. Cloud Police Department says when officers arrived on scene they found a 32-year-old man who had been shot in the upper torso. He was taken to St. Cloud Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. His name has not been released. Authorities say the man was with two of his friends and got into a fight with two or three other men. Police say during the fight, one of the men shot the victim. The suspects left in a vehicle before police arrived. No additional information regarding the suspects has been released. Authorities also say shortly before 2:30am officers heard gunshots near the 600 block of 1st Street South and another area south of Highway 23. Police say they did not find any damage or additional victims at either location, and they are investigating whether or not the shootings are connected. --The Stearns County Sheriff's Office is looking for the person who intentionally threw a bunch of nails on the road outside the Law Enforcement Center in St. Cloud. Sergeant John Niemi was checking the outside of the building on Thursday when he found over 100 shingle-type nails outside the exit door to the jail vehicle sally port. Exterior video shows a newer white panel van turn left by the old Taco John's and head past the building. As the van passes by an arm is seen extended and nails appear on the ground. This was at about 6:40am on Thursday. The van then heads east on 2nd street toward the river. If you have any information you should call the Stearns County Sheriff's Office.

--The Brainerd Fire Department was called to a structure fire at 5am Friday at a residence on the 13000 block of Flintwood Drive. Law enforcement arrived on scene first and found the house to be fully engulfed in fire. One woman was in the house at the time of the fire and had escaped without injuries. Firefighters arrived on scene and found fire coming out of all the openings in the front of the house. Twenty firefighters were on scene, extinguished the fire and performed overhaul to make sure there were no hot spots left over in the home. The cause of the fire is undetermined and is under investigation with the assistance from the Minnesota State Fire Marshal’s Office as the home was a total loss. The woman is receiving assistance from the American Red Cross.

--A 93-year-old motorcycle driver was killed in a crash. The Minnesota State Patrol says it happened at about 1:30pm Sunday on Highway 29 in Glenwood. Leslie Cin of Donnelly was driving his Harley-Davidson northbound when he collided with an SUV that was going south on the highway. Cin was killed in the crash. The SUV driver, 62-year-old Cynthia Anacker of Glenwood, was taken by private party to Glenwood Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

--The next Camp Ripley Retirement Benefits Breakfast will be held at the Camp Ripley Hangar on Thursday, October 21st. Breakfast at 8:30am then speakers from Tri Care, Veterans Resources and Enrichment Activities, HRO and MDAY Retirement Services, Veterans Services Office, Minnesota Military Museum, AHATS Environmental, the DAV Truck Outside, Yellow Ribbons, State Veterans Cemetery, ID Cards and there will be door prizes and other items all at the event at Camp Ripley. RSVPS are asked for at 616-4959 and 749-2428 and you will need a photo ID to enter the Camp Ripley Military Base.

--Little Falls Township announced that they will be canceling it’s special board meeting that was scheduled to occur at 6pm tonight (Tuesday). The next scheduled board meeting will be at the regular monthly township board meeting, Monday, October 4th at 6pm.

--Authorities continue to search for the man who fled police Friday afternoon in Sauk Rapids. Benton County Sheriff Troy Heck says as of Monday they have still not found the man and the investigation remains ongoing. He says their office continues to investigate this case and other cases involving the suspect. On Friday authorities were searching for a man who was wanted for theft related crimes and fleeing police. He was last seen in a swampy area near Garden Brook Drive Northeast and Strawberry Court Northeast in Sauk Rapids. The 37-year-old suspect is described as a white man, about 6'0 tall, weighing 300 pounds, with short black hair and a short black beard. Authorities says he was last seen wearing a light grey sweatshirt that says "champion" on the front, blue jeans, and white tennis shoes. Anyone with information about the suspects whereabouts is asked to call 911 immediately.

--A Foley man is accused of hitting a woman on her head and pulling her down to the pavement during a late-August altercation, according to Benton County Court records. 34-year-old Andrew Dean Hanenburg has been charged with two counts of felony domestic assault and a gross misdemeanor for allegedly interfering with an emergency call. The woman reported that Hanenburg pinned her with her stomach to the ground and took her phone after she told him she was calling 911, according to the statement of probable cause. Sheriff's deputies observed a welt on her head, scrapes on her feet and marks on her neck when they responded the following day. Hanenburg was arrested and booked in the Benton County Jail. He has a 2017 conviction for interfering with a 911 call and 2018 convictions for violating a no-contact order in Benton County and one in Wright County, according to court records.
