--St. Cloud Police is reporting a stolen vehicle in the 900 block of 3rd Avenue South. The vehicle taken was a white Dodge Intrepid this continues the string of thefts recently in St. Cloud including Benton County deputies recovered a generator near Gordon's Bridge. Waite Park police said they had a couple of thefts from vehicles again. In the recent days a the Mall parking lot it was reported that backpacks were taken take contained I-pads and laptop computers. Authorities stress that you make sure your vehicles are locked and suggests taking valuable items with you if you can. --The Minnesota DNR is reminding ice anglers and enthusiasts that please check ice thickness before venturing out on the ice. In the past week on their DNR Conservation Officers Report it was reported a few close calls on the ice in Aitkin, McGregor, and Brainerd where the ice was not thick enough for the items that anglers were taking to get out on, they DNR said luckilly no many items only a few buckets were lost in the water on those occassions. Please use caution on lake ice with warmer than average temperatures in the forecast until the weekend when temps stay below the frezzing mark.

--Another deadly stretch of days on Minnesota roadways. In the past few days a fatal accident claimed the life of a 75-year-old from Eveleth in St. Louis County, a 37-year-old from Lacrosse, Wisconsin was killed in a crash in Winona County, a semi-driver was killed in an accident in Carver County the driver was from Maiden Rock, Wisconsin. This adds to the fatal accidents that occurred over the weekend in Crow Wing, Washington and Becker counties. The State Patrol is asking motorists to slow down and buckle up has some of the fatal accidents involved speed and unbuckled persons.

--Congratulations to the Little Falls Area Chamber of Commerce December Employee of the Month Faye Santala. Faye Santala has worked for the Morrison County Record newspaper for the past 44 and a half years and is currently the production manager.

--A big announcement from Pierz Freedom Fest 2022 that Pierz Freedom Fest will be returning July 16th, 2022 at the Genola Ballfields featuring Trace Adkins, Lonestar and the Fabulous Armadillos. Tickets go on sale today by checking out the Pierz Freedom Fest website.

--A number of Minnesota National Guard families will enjoy a special Christmas delivery on today with the return of 13 Airmen from the 133rd Airlift Wing. These Airmen return home approximately 60-days earlier than anticipated – and just in time for Christmas. This team of Security Forces “Defenders” provided base security in Kuwait, assisting with base closure operations following the withdrawal from Afghanistan. They also conducted joint training on Air Base Defense operations during their tour and assisted with evacuating Afghan civilians. At home, the 133rd Airlift Wing’s Security Forces Squadron has taken the lead in multiple domestic operations in the Twin Cities, providing support to civil authorities during civil unrest. A handful of members have not told their families, so this return will come as a surprise for some loved ones. Airmen will arrive at the 133rd Airlift Wing in St. Paul around 9am this morning.

--As weather permits, Morrison County maintenance employees will be working on the following activities this week, mowing roadside ditches in various spots around the county. Also a reminder that the Soo-line trail gates will be re-opened starting today December 1st. Please use caution around work crews and flashing lights. Public Works employees continue to practice social distancing guidelines in their travels and on the various job sites as we continue to preserve and maintain Morrison County infrastructure.

--The Randall Holly-Day event will be Thursday from 4-7pm in Randall. Santa will be at the VFW with pictures and workshop for the kids to take part in. A campfire, Christmas crafts and holiday music is all planned on Thursday night for the Holly-Day event in Randall. Mayor Dan Noss on KLTF stated other publications had some wrong information and that all the events are at the Randall VFW this year with Santa starting at 4pm besides the campfire outside but the businesses will be open later Thursday so help and shop local. He also mentioned that the annual DAV dinner event is planned for Wednesday, December 8th at the Little Falls VFW. For information please reach out to Dan Noss at 320-232-9412.

--Join Little Falls Radio Saturday during the Fill the Truck event in the Wal-Mart parking lot to help give to the Holiday Gift Giving Program. Help out the program by buying new toys, clothings, mittens and other items to help out the needy kids this Christmas. Little Falls Radio will be broadcasting live 11am-1pm Saturday during the event which starts around 10am at Wal-Mart. HS BHK= another win for the Flyer boys hockey team 4-1 over St. Cloud Cathedral last night. The Flyer boys are 3-0 and will host Princeton tomorrow night 7:15pm live on Q92 WYRQ.
