--Formal Charges of second degree murder were filled Tuesday by Morrison County Attorney Brian Middendorf against 30-year-old Jonathon Samael Greyblood in Morrison County 7th District Court. The counts of 2nd degree murder with intent not premeditated and 2nd degree murder without intent while committing a felony were filed with carry a maximum sentence of 40 years in prison each. The criminal complaint states that Jonathon Greyblood called Little Falls Police Saturday stating his wife 37-year-old Jeanine Greyblood was missing. They had gone out to a local bar the night before and then to a friend's residence where they had gotten into argument. Greyblood said they were driving home and she decided to drive to Pine Grove Park to continue the argument, where she got out of the vehicle and said she was going to a friend's house without her coat in the frigid temperatures. When she did not return home he went searching for her on Saturday before calling police for help. Throughout the day law enforcement and community volunteers conducted an extensive search of the west side of Little Falls looking for Jeanine. On Sunday morning, an agent from the BCA and a Little Falls Police Seargant again spoke with Jonathon, this time the defendant stated “something bad has happened to Jeanine”. He said that they were coming home from the friend's house in an argument and that she was yelling and hitting him. He claimed that as they were parked in their driveway, she continued to be aggressive toward him and that the defended himself by wrapping his hands around her throat, he squeezed her throat until she went limp. He told the officers he attempted CPR but she had died. Jonathon said he panicked and put Jenaine's body in the passenger seat of their vehicle as she was driving. Then drove to the Swan River Bridge south of Little Falls dropping her body under the bridge. Law enforcement officers found her body Sunday around 12:45pm on Great River Road at the Swan River Bridge, she was found on the surface of the ice under the bridge. Shortly after Jonathon Greyblood was arrested and booked in the Morrison County Jail. County Attorney Middendorf stated that since the defendant is already in custody they feel that the defendant continue to be detained pending further proceedings unless certain conditions are added to bail. There was not word on the next court hearing date at this time.
