--Congratulations to Landon Schomer for being chosen as a Minnesota State High School League state recipient for the 2020 ExCEL award. Profiles of each Recipient we be aired throughout the broadcast of the winter tournaments. Landon Schomer will be honored at halftime on March 14th at 2:00pm during the state Girls Basketball tournament.
--The Little Falls Police Department was notifed about a scam using our department. The call came from a blocked number and the subject was asking for donations for the Little Falls Police Department to help keep our Officers safe. Please be advised that the Little Falls Police Department do not solicitate residence for donations. Please do not give out any personal information over the phone and be very cautious when considering to donate to any organization without confirming that it is legitimate first. This comes as the Morrison County Sheriff's Office and other local police continue to receive scam calls. The best advice if you are not sure of a call, hang up. If you believe the call was from local law enforcement or an agency like a bank, social security or the IRS, hang up and call their local office.
--Some businesses in the immediate area of St. Cloud where the Press Bar burned down Monday still remain closed on Tuesday while others were already operational by later that day. MC's Dugout and the Veranda Lounge reopened that afternoon, business was uninterrupted for Courtyard by Marriot. Polito's Pizza, located at 515 W. St. Germain, plans to reopen Tuesday afternoon. Mexican Village, located on St. Germain across from the former Press Bar, is working with a company to assess the amount of smoke damage to the restaurant and did not open Tuesday with hopes of being opened by later this week. Revolver Studios, located at 513 W. St. Germain, was also closed Monday and into Tuesday with the owner hoping to reopen soon. Press Bar neighbor Granite City Comics & Games will remain closed Tuesday to clean up smoke and soot and will likely remain closed through the week. The Red Carpet was working on keeping regular hours. St. Cloud Mayor Dave Kleis praised the fire crews and express condolences for the Press Bar and other downtown businesses affected by the blaze. No injuries have been reported. The State Fire Marshal said Tuesday the cause is under investigation and could take days to weeks to figure out. The Press Bar and Parlor started in St. Cloud back to 1942.
--Governor Tim Walz announced he will deliver his second State of the State Address to a joint session of the Minnesota State Legislature on Monday, March 23rd beginning at 7 p.m. The address will be delivered in the Minnesota State Capitol House Chamber. --A fire broke out at a metals recycling facility in Becker early Tuesday morning. Becker Police Chief Brent Baloun says they got the call just before 2:30am when a passerby noticed flames coming from the Northern Metals Recycling site. The plant is at 12432 Energy Drive in the Becker Industrial Park. Fire departments from Becker and Clear Lake responded to the scene and found flames coming from a debris pile. It appears the fire broke out in a pile of crushed vehicles. No one was injured and there was no damage to any building structures.
--There is a Camp Foley fundraiser breakfast this Sunday at St. Michael's in Buckman from 8:30-12pm to help the 6th grade trip.
--A Fargo man was hurt after crashing his car on Interstate 94 near Monticello Tuesday night. The Minnesota State Patrol says 29-year old Mohamed Bashir was eastbound on I-94 when he lost control on the snow-covered road at Barton Avenue, entered the median and hit the cable barrier. The crash happened just after 9:30 p.m. Bashir was taken to the Monticello hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
--Two people were hurt Monday afternoon in Kathio Township of Mille Lacs County when their lost control on Highway 169 and crashed into the ditch. 59-year old Rochelle Breisler, of Newport and her 17 year old passenger, Cecelia Hoytbreisler were both taken to the Onamia hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
--The St James Church of Randall, will be having their 4th Annual Madi-Gras Dinner on Friday serving smoked BBQ ribs and chicken, mashed potatoes, vegetables, pie & ice cream along with a beverage. Social begins at 5:30pm, dinner at 6pm and the raffle begins at 7:30pm. Cost is $15.00, which includes 2 free drink tickets. At 7 pm, the Large Raffle drawing for the $10,000 grand prize with many more cash prizes. There are very few tickets left for both the raffle and the meal. St. James Church will be at Coborn's Marketplace today and tomorrow selling tickets for the event on Friday.

BHK= Little Falls shut out Sartell 6-0 last night to advance to section semi-finals Saturday at 7pm against Alexandria on Q92 WYRQ.
TWINS= the final Twins Hot Stove is tonight at 6pm on Q92 WYRQ with the first spring training radio game Saturday at noon on Q92. The Twins are also keeping an eye on a number of players returning from injury or off season surgery including Byron Buxton, Jorge Polanco, Sean Poppen, Sergio Romo and Marwin Gonzalez. The Twins hope that lighter loads at spring training will get them ready for the start of the regular season March 26th at Oakland on Q92 WYRQ.
