NEWS
--The Morrison County ADA is searching for dairy princess candidates for 2021. Young women must be at least a high school senior and not yet 24 years of age. Eligibility includes: You or your parents are actively engaged in the production of milk for sale to a licensed plant and contribute to the dairy check off. You or your parents work full time on a dairy farm. You or your parents custom raise dairy cattle for farmers who contribute to the dairy check off or if you or your parents lease dairy animals from a dairy farmer. Dairy Princesses who are chosen will be the goodwill ambassador of Morrison County Dairy Farmers and promote the dairy industry throughout 2021. Call Stacy Happke at 468-6257 or Cindy Welle 745-2615 for an application. The Morrison County Dairy Princesses will be crowned on March 27th.

--Authorities have released the name of the Pipestone girl killed after a crash in central Minnesota Monday. She's been identified as 17-year-old Aileen Aguliar. The Minnesota State Patrol says a semi-truck was heading north on Highway 15 when Aguliar, who was westbound on County Road 146, failed to stop and collided with the semi.

--A Sartell man was taken to the hospital after being thrown from his machine Saturday. The incident happened around 3:45pm off of County Road 2, north of St. Stephen. The Stearns County Sheriff's Office says 42-year old Darren Trousil was riding in the northbound ditch when he went over a driveway and went airborne. Authorities say when the snowmobile landed, Trousil lost control of the machine, throwing him from it and rolled several times. Trousil was taken to St. Cloud Hospital for his injuries. The sheriff's office says alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash, along with speed. The crash remains under investigation.

--A Burtrum home was destroyed by fire back on February 5th. Grey Eagle, Swanville and Long Prairie Fire Fighters were called to the home resided by Ashley Maciej. The structure fire was at 14229 County Road 102 in Grey Eagle Township. Maciej told firefighters that the house was full of smoke when they arrived and the firefighters were unable to save the home. The cause of the fire remains under investigation and the family is being helped from their losses.

--Douglas County released the name of the 57-year old woman killed in a house fire on Sunday morning in Miltona. Terri Gaarsland was found unresponsive inside the home owned by 59-year old Steven Beheng. The state Fire Marshal's Office was notified. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

--In accordance with a proclamation issued by President Biden, Governor Tim Walz directed all flags at state and federal buildings in Minnesota to be flown at half-staff, effective immediately, until sunset on Friday, February 26th. This is to remember and honor lives lost due to COVID-19. “As of this week, during the dark winter of the COVID-19 pandemic, more than 500,000 Americans have died from the virus,” said Governor Walz. “We reflect on these losses and the loved ones left behind, joining states across the nation to lower our flags and observe a moment of silence at sunset as we honor the lives lost due to COVID-19.” Individuals, businesses, and other organizations also are encouraged to join in lowering their flags to honor those who have lost their lives to COVID-19 and their families.

--The Franciscan Sisters are hosting a blood drive next week Monday through Wednesday at First United Church in Little Falls. For an appointment contact Sister Julien 632-0663 or go the American Red Cross Website for further information on the blood drive.

--Jonathan Greyblood will have to provide a DNA swab after a motion made by the prosecution was granted Monday in Morrison County District Court. 30-year old Jonathan Greyblood of Little Falls, was charged on February 9th with one count of second degree murder with intent but without premeditation, and one count of second degree murder without intent in connection to the death of his wife, Jeanine Greyblood, on February 6th. Greyblood will be required to submit a DNA sample prior to his next appearance, an omnibus hearing scheduled for 1:00pm on Monday, March 22nd. He is expected to enter a plea at that time.

--A six-year-old girl was killed in a snowmobile accident in northern Minnesota. The Cass County Sheriff's Office says the incident happened on Monday just after 3pm at a home near the town of Federal Dam. A 35-year-old woman and the six-year-old girl were riding a Ski-Doo snowmobile in the yard when it struck a stump, launching the machine down an embankment to Leech Lake and into a tree. CPR and lifesaving efforts were being performed on the scene to the girl, however, she was pronounced dead at the scene.The woman was treated on scene and transported by ambulance to a Bemidji hospital for further treatment. This is the second deadly snowmobile in a week in Cass County as an 18 year old died last weekend on the shoreline of Gull Lake.

ENTERTAINMENT NEWS
--29-year-old actress Shailene Woodley has confirmed that she's engaged to Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers. The 37 year old Rodgers made mention to his finacee while accepting the 2020 MVP award at the NFL Honors back on February 6th.

SPORTS
GOLF= Golfer Tiger Woods was reportedly injured in a roll-over accident Monday morning in Los Angeles County. The sheriff's department said in a statement that Woods was the only person in the vehicle and firefighters and paramedics had to use the "jaws of life" to get him out of the vehicle. Woods was taken to a local hospital by ambulance. Woods agent stated that Woods needed surgery for injuries sustained to his legs in the accident.
TWINS= The Twins are awaiting the governor's approval to allow a capacity of 25% or 10,000 fans to watch games in person at Target Field beginning in April when they start the regular season. The first Twins radio spring training game is against Boston Sunday at noon on Q92 and another Twins Hot Stove is tonight at 6pm on Q92 WYRQ.
BHK= The Little Falls boys hockey game last night with Wadena and this Thursday night with Alexandria have been cancelled.
