--Around 3:30pm Monday the Morrison County Sheriff's Office received a report of a one-vehicle rollover near the intersection of 450th Street and 130th Avenue, approximately three miles south of Bowlus. According to the Sheriff’s Office, 20-year old Alexis Kunstleben from Holdingford was traveling west on 450th Street. Kunstleben lost control of her vehicle on the icy road, went into the ditch and rolled. She was transported to St. Gabriel’s Hospital with unknown injuries.

--With more snow in the forecast this week Morrison County maintenance crews will be out removing snow from roadways. Please stay back and give room for plows to clear snow. Crews will continue trimming trees along various right of ways in the northwest part of the county and patching holes on various roads in the southeast part of the county as weather permits.

--Forecasters are monitoring what could be the biggest winter storm of the season starting late Thursday night and lasting into Saturday afternoon. Heavy snow and gusty winds are forecast for Friday with wind gusts near 50mph in areas and 4-8 inches of snow in eastern and central Minnesota during the day on Friday with another 3-5 inches late Friday into Saturday meaning some areas could be over a foot of snow with strong winds and then bitter cold with temperatures below zero and wind chills in the dangerous category. Forecasters stated that the bulls eye right now is east of I-94 to the Wisconsin border but again a slightest shift in the wind and Gulf Stream could move that farther north and east before the weekend.

--The National Weather Service is warning those along the Minnesota River of ice jams forming especially in the southern third of the state with the roller coaster of warm and cold temps. There is an ice jam reported near Anoka that is overflowing its banks and causing flooding with trails in parks along the Mississippi and Rum Rivers. Trails in several city parks are closed in the interest of safety, and the public is being asked to stay away. The National Weather Service in Chanhassen issued a flood warning for the Mississippi River at Highway 169 in Champlin and also ice jams are affecting most of Anoka and Hennepin County. Back in December Crow Wing and Aitkin County were dealing with ice jams and that could become the case again if warm temperatures return to northern Minnesota.

--The Becker County Sheriff's Office responded to report from a woman who said she was stopped by a suspicious vehicle with police lights. The incident happened Monday at around 6:20pn on County Highway 7 north of Lake Park. The woman told police she was driving north when a vehicle in front of her activated blue and white lights, and she believed this meant she was being stopped by law enforcement. A man approached the driver's side of her vehicle, told her she had a broken taillight, and asked her to step out of the vehicle to look at the taillight. The woman asked if she could see his law enforcement credentials, since she didn't think he looked like an officer, and the man then went back into his vehicle and left. The man was described as 25-30 old, 6' tall, with a goatee, wearing a black winter hat, and a dark jacket with what appeared to be a radio microphone on the lapel. The vehicle was described to police as a newer white Jeep. Anyone with information or anyone that has had a similar incident happen to them can call 218-847-2661.

--There is still time if you wish to sign up for the March for Life bus next Wednesday, January 22nd to St. Paul. The bus leaves Little Falls at 7:30, Pierz at 8am and Buckman at 8:20am that morning. You will need to provide your own bag lunch, there is no cost for the bus trip though a free will donation will be accepted. --One driver was injured in a two vehicle crash in Crow Wing County on Tuesday. At 1:35pm 42-year old David Kobs of Brainerd was traveling westbound on highway 210 and taking a left onto County Road 12. Kobs did not see a car driven by 78-year old Rose Seely of Crosby traveling eastbound on highway 210, and continued to make the turn causing the crash. Seely was treated at the Crow Wing Medical Center for non life threatening injuries. According to the state patrol report, Kobs was not injured.

--Minnesota families who have owned their farms for 100 years or more are invited to apply for the 2020 Century Farm Program. Produced by the Minnesota State Fair in conjunction with the Minnesota Farm Bureau Federation, the Century Farm Program was created to promote agriculture and honor historic family farms in the state. More than 10,500 Minnesota farms have been honored since the program began in 1976. Family farms are recognized as a Century Farm when three requirements are met. The farm must be: 1) at least 100 years old according to authentic land records; 2) in continuous family ownership for at least 100 years (continuous residence on the farm is not required); and 3) at least 50 acres and currently be involved in agricultural production. Applications are available online at mnstatefair.org/about-the-fair/awards-and-recognition/; at fbmn.org; by calling the State Fair at 651-288-4400; or at statewide county extension and county Farm Bureau offices. The submission deadline is Monday, March 2nd. Recipients will be announced in May. Previously recognized families should not reapply.

--Lipari Foods announced Monday it has recalled varieties of its Premo and Fresh Grab sandwiches because they may be contaminated with Listeria. It follows a similar recall by the company last week. The new recall is for sandwiches distributed to food service and retail stores in Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, West Virginia and Wisconsin. Details, including the sandwich names, Best By dates, lot numbers and UPC numbers can be found at their website. Last week's recall involved wedge sandwiches that also went to those same states were recalled also due to listeria concerns.
