--Morning commuters will notice that Highway 27 from the Mississippi River Bridge past Front Street and into the downtown Little Falls area is open this morning. The detour was changed over last night. The closure is now from 1st Street through 9th Street East and the detour is First Street East to 5th Avenue Southeast and around the loop behind the high school up to the 11th Street Intersection by the Community Middle School and across from Coborn's Marketplace and Walgreens at the stop lights. This is expected to remain in place until the first part of September. All work on the east side of Little Falls is expected to be completed by the Arts and Crafts Festival on September 7th-8th. Please use caution and follow the detour signs. The west side project and their detours remains the same at this time starting at Paul Larson Memorial Drive around to 9th Avenue and over to 8th Street West. That detour remains until late next month with the final phase of the project going from 6th-15th Street West which is expected to be completed in October. Slow down in work zones.

--A 16-year-old faces charges after allegedly shooting a 19-year-old man in the head in Waite Park Monday afternoon. The incident happened around 1pm in the 200 block of 13th Avenue North. Police officers arrived on scene to find a 19-year old St. Cloud man with a bullet wound to his head. He was taken to St. Cloud Hospital where he was last listed in critical condition. A 16-year old boy from Waite Park was arrested as a result of the incident and is being held in a juvenile detention facility awaiting formal charges. He faces charges of negligent discharge of a gun, minor in possession of a gun and felon in possession of a gun. The case remains active and there is no danger to the public.

--Three members of an Anoka family were treated for non-life-threatening injuries after a rollover the afternoon of Sunday, July 21, on Highway 65 just south of Jacobson. According to a report by the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2017 Ford Explorer operated by Christine Marie Polliard, 35, was southbound on Highway 65 when the vehicle veered off the road at roughly 3:25 p.m., entering a ditch on the right-hand side and rolling in the process. Along with the driver, passengers Robert Lloyd Polliard, 34, and Robert V. Polliard, 1, were treated at Riverwood Healthcare Center Hospital in Aitkin for non-life-threatening injuries. Conditions were described as dry in the report and all three occupants were wearing seat belts at the time. The Aitkin County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.

--A 61-year-old Ironton man suffered injuries Saturday just after 5:30pm when the all-terrain vehicle he was operating crashed in Trommald. The Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office reported Edward D. Gonzales was operating an ATV in the ditch off of Crow Wing County Highway 34 when it rolled. He sustained internal injuries.

-- A Kimball man was hurt in a crash in Cold Spring. About 6:45pm Monday at the intersection of 2nd Avenue North and 1st Street North. A pickup driven by 31-year-old Brooke Brogaard of St. Cloud was going north on 2nd Avenue. An SUV driven by 85-year-old Ronald Imholte of Kimball was going on 1st Street. Troopers say the crash happened on city streets with no stop signs or yield signs. Imholte was taken to St. Cloud Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

--Around 11:12am on Monday, the Morrison County Sheriff’s Office received a call of a possible sexual assault that took place near Royalton. According to the Sheriff’s Office a 39-year-old female from Sartell, met with an officer from the Royalton Police Department and stated she was sexually assaulted. During the initial investigation, it was determined the assault took place outside the Royalton city limits. The case was turned over to the Morrison County Sheriff’s Office where it is actively being investigated. At this time, the Morrison County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a person of interest described as a white male, approximately 6’2” to 6’4” tall, weighing approximately 240 pounds with brown hair and a beard. The male was wearing blue jeans and a white T-shirt. The male was last seen walking on North Evergreen Street in Royalton between 5:00am-6:00am on Monday. The Sheriff’s Office has limited information concerning the male party involved. --A Belgrade man was arrested for Terroristic Threats and Obstructing Legal Process. Shortly after 4:00pm Sunday deputies responded to a possible domestic assault and welfare check in Crow Lake Township. Initial reports stated an adult male at the residence had been drinking and was intoxicated. The male, later identified as 69-year old Philip Garberich of Belgrade made threats against the other person in the residence, himself and law enforcement. After several minutes, he made his way outside to the driveway area. Deputies and Troopers made contact with him in the driveway and placed him under arrest. Garberich was both verbally and physically uncooperative. Once he was in custody, he was transported to the Stearns County Jail. During the transport, he remained verbally combative and broke out a light in the back of a Stearns County squad car. At the jail, he was booked and held on charges of Terroristic Threats and Obstructing Legal process.

--The Our Lady of Lourdes Church Bazaar is this Saturday and Sunday. A reminder that the parking situation will be changed due to the Highway 27 construction. OLOL church stated on Little Falls Radio Monday that parking on Lindbergh Drive North will be at an angle starting from the Royal Cafe near the church with parking slated to also be around Mary of Lourdes Middle School. With the many who attend this please expect some delays as you find that place to park and enjoy the festivities this Saturday and Sunday. TWINS= Twins and Yankees have an offensive battle last night, Twins led at one point 8-2 after 4 innings only to watch Yankees come back and win the game 14-12 in 10 innings. The Twins and Yankees will wrap up the series tonight at Target Field with the pregame at 6:30pm on Q92 WYRQ.
LEGION= Good luck to Little Falls and Pierz American Legion Baseball teams as they continue in tournaments in their respected divisions both trying to get to their state tournaments.
