NEWS
--Rich Prairie Sewer and Water informed Little Falls Radio this morning that due to low pressure in the system a BOIL WATER ALERT has been issued for the cities of Pierz and Genola until further notice until the low pressure issue is resolved for the cities of Pierz and Genola.

--Little Falls City Administrator Jon Radermacher stated information where city residents will vote for the primary election on August 9th and who will be on your ballot was mailed in the past week. As the city has recently began redistricting of the three wards, check the cards to make sure no changes to your location and who you vote for has changed. A reminder that city elections with Mayor, City Council and local school boards, filings will be next Tuesday, August 2nd at city hall and local schools. Questions call City Hall at 616-5500.

--A Hillman Township man was injured Tuesday around 12:40am on Highway 47 in Kanabec County. Dylan Steele was traveling on Highway 47 near Isle as his vehicle went off the road rolled into the left shoulder then came to a rest left of the highway. Steele was taken by ambulance to North Memorial Medical Center with what the state patrol deemed non life threatening injuries. Authorities said he was wearing his seatbelt.

--A 28-year-old woman and 58-year-old woman, both of Cass Lake, were injured Saturday after their vehicles collided on Highway 371 in Cass County. The Minnesota State Patrol responded to the crash, reported at 1:20am in Wilkerson Township, south of Cass Lake. According to the crash report, a 2011 Hyundai Sonata was northbound and a 2020 Toyota Tacoma was southbound on the highway when they collided head on. The Hyundai came to rest in the west ditch facing the north and the Tacoma came to rest facing north in the east ditch The driver of the Sonata, Kaeli Mya Rojas, and the driver of the Tacoma, Collen Wells, both suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to North Memorial Health Hospital. The road was dry at the time of the crash.

--The Unemployment rate (not seasonally adjusted) in Morrison County rose to 2.7% in June, up from 2.2% a month prior according to numbers released Tuesday by the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development. Here is how our nearby counties fared for June unemployment rates: Aitkin 2.9%, Benton 2.5%, Cass 2.4%, Crow Wing 2.3%, Mille Lacs 2.6%, Sherburne 2.1%, Stearns 2.2%, Todd 2.4% and Wadena County at 3%. The city of Brainerd registered at 2.7% and St. Cloud was at 2.8%. The statewide unemployment rate (not seasonally adjusted) in Minnesota was 2.2% in June and the national unemployment rate was 3.8%.

--Authorities are investigating after a man was found dead behind the wheel of his vehicle Monday morning. The Meeker County Sheriff's Office was called to the 61000 block of 620th Avenue in Greenleaf Township south of Litchfield just after 6am. The caller said a man was dead inside a vehicle that was parked alongside the road. Deputies and detectives responded and identified the man as 39-year-old Jason Sutter of Hutchinson. Sutter's body was taken for an autopsy. Anyone who had contact with Sutter or saw him the day before his death is asked to contact Meeker County Sheriff's Office.

--Many events this weekend including Father Ben Kociemba yesterday spoke on KLTF about Our Lady of Lourdes Church Bazaar on Sunday. Masses with Laverne and Friends at 8:30am and 10:30am, outdoor food stands, a new Polish Food Booth, bingo, kids games, silent auction, large auction at 2pm, raffle drawings start at 4pm.

--Join AM960 KLTF Up Front on Thursday at 9:05am for a Minnesota State Senate Debate with the candidates vying to be the Republican candidate for the redistricted Minnesota State Senate District 10 which includes Morrison, Benton, Mille Lacs and Kanabec Counties. The candidates are Jim Newberger, Stephen Wenzel and Nathan Wesenberg. The primary election is August 9th but early voting in the District is already underway. --A man shot and killed in Minneapolis earlier this month has been identified as a St. Cloud man. The Hennepin County Medical Examiner says 28-year-old Marcus Richardo Brown died on July 20th, four days after being shot. He suffered a gunshot wound to the neck. The shooting happened at the intersection of Bryant Avenue North and 21st Avenue North in Minneapolis.

--Two people from Colorado were hurt when their kayak was struck by a boat on a lake in Sauk Centre Monday. The Stearns County Sheriff's Office and several other emergency responders were called out to Sauk Lake just after 1:00pm. The sheriff's office says 62-year-old Susan Hegdal and 59-year-old Thomas Hegdal of Fort Collins, Colorado were in a two-person kayak when they were hit by an 18-foot fishing boat. Susan Hegdal suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to St. Cloud Hospital. Thomas Hegdal was brought to the hospital by ground ambulance. The driver of the fishing boat, 48-year-old Michael Dunfee of Sauk Centre and his passengers were not hurt. Authorities say alcohol was not a factor in the crash and it remains under investigation.

ENTERTAINMENT NEWS
--More than two and a half years after the death of longtime "Jeopardy!" host Alex Trebek, the hit game show has reportedly settled on a permanent successor or two. Mayim Bialik and Ken Jennings will continue as tag-team hosts of “Jeopardy!,” according to multiple media reports. The duo have served as interim hosts for the show's 38th season, which wraps up new episodes on July 29, 2022.

VL= Victory League playoffs resume Saturday with 6 games on the schedule, the KLTF playoff game will be Foley at Ft. Ripley and the game has been changed to 1:30pm Saturday on KLTF and fallsradio.com. There will also be a game on Sunday on KLTF decided after Saturday's action is done.
