--Back on Saturday morning a pair from Little Falls riding their motorcycle were injured in Garrison Township and an update on the driver shows he is in critical condition. 54-year old John Walter of Little Falls was driving his motorcycle northbound on Highway 169 south of Garrison at 10:10am on Saturday, when he swerved to avoid rear-ending stopped traffic and went off the road to the right. Both Walter and his passenger, 49-year old Kimberly Ann Walter were ejected from the motorcycle and taken to the Crosby hospital for what the state patrol report deemed as non-life-threatening injuries. An update on the condition of the driver 54-year old John Walter shows he has been transferred to Hennepin Health Care and was listed in critical condition as of Tuesday morning. According to the report, neither the driver nor the passenger were wearing helmets.

--At 12:43am Tuesday the Morrison County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a one vehicle rollover on 170th Avenue, approximately a half mile north of Royalton, in Bellevue Township. According to the Sheriff’s Office, 26-year old Tyler Lorenz of St. Cloud was traveling south on 170th Avenue when his vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree, causing the vehicle to roll. Lorenz was taken by ambulance to St Gabriel’s Hospital with a possible broken ankle.

--Authorities confirmed that a 60-year old Fort Ripley man was airlifted Friday in the accident reported yesterday from Daggett Brook Township. The Crow Wing County Sheriff's Office reported around 6:30pm Friday John W. Lindberg crossed the centerline on Highway 2, when his vehicle sideswiped a vehicle driven by 77-year old Jimmie A. Sergent of Brainerd. Lindberg was airlifted to a hospital and Sergent and his passenger 44-year old John P. Sergent of Brainerd were not injured. Initial reports stated that Lindberg suffered a medical condition which led to crossing over the centerline.

--Fire destroyed a barn near St. Martin. Emergency personnel responded to a barn fire located approximately 6 miles southwest of St. Martin in Stearns County around 2:30pm on Monday afternoon. 62-year old Randall Hemmesch of Paynesville was not home at the time of the fire. The barn contained approximately 5,000 bails of hay/straw. No cattle or animals were inside the barn. The barn was considered a total loss. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

--Two people were arrested after an early morning argument became physical. The incident happened just after midnight Monday morning at 25 11th Avenue North in Waite Park Authorities responded to a large fight outside the home. When officers arrived they found a large group of people yelling at each other. The argument became physical and one suspect pulled out a knife and made several threats. Police arrested 25-year old Ashante Brown of Waite Park and 20-year old Ronisha Dobine of Chicago, Illinois. Brown faces charges of domestic assault, while Dobine faces charges of 2nd degree assault with a dangerous weapon.

--This weekend, June 7th-9th is Take a Kid Fishing weekend in Minnesota. Meaning that Minnesota residents can fish without a state fishing license if they take a child 15 years of age or younger fishing. All children 15 and younger do not require a fishing license throughout the fishing season. The concept was to get kids involved in fishing even if the adult with them did not have the proper license. The DNR does remind anglers though they do have to still follow the catch and release laws and limit draw on area lakes/rivers.

--Morrison County Sheriff Shawn Larsen is asking area boaters to operate their watercraft at slow no-wake speeds whenever possible on area lakes that have high-water levels. According to Sheriff Shawn Larsen, high-water levels continue to be an issue on Shamineau Lake and Crookneck Lake in northwestern Morrison County, as well as Pine Lake in southwestern Morrison County. Boaters should be aware that causing excessive wakes can create significant erosion to shorelines as well as actual damage to docks and other structures along the shorelines. The Sheriff’s Office Water Patrol, along with local conservation officers will be asking boaters throughout the summer to operate at no wake speeds anytime they are within 300 feet of a shoreline. The Sheriff’s Office has posted No Wake Zone signs at public accesses and are asking boaters to use extra caution in adhering to this advisory until lake water levels return to normal. --Tomorrow is the first of the Cone Zone Block Parties in Little Falls. With the Highway 27 Road Construction through the downtown area, the idea was to bring the people downtown to remember businesses remain open and events can still take place around the construction and detour. The day starts with a Youth Football Camp from 9-11am at the Little Falls schools football field with former Minnesota Vikings. The football camp is a free event for the kids to take part in. Then head downtown to Kiwanis Park (behind the Post Office and by the Police Station) for Johnny Holm Band performing at 5:30pm. Also the Little Falls Radio Cash Cube will be there from 4-6pm for all to try and win a chance to grab prizes from area sponsors and Little Falls Radio. This is the first of the block parties that will continue every Thursday through August with the only exception on Independence Day.

--The office of Congressman Pete Stauber, R-Duluth, announced Lake Country Power will receive $52 million in grant money from the U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development. This investment will be used to finance 1,400 new consumer connections, build and improve 249 miles of line, and invest $17 million in smart grid technologies across Minnesota's 8th Congressional District. Lake County Power provides service to approximately 49,000 customers across 8,319 miles of line in the counties including Koochiching, Carlton, St. Louis, Cass, Aitkin, Lake, Itasca and Pine.

HS BAB= Little Falls is one win away from the State Tournament next week in Minneapolis. Due to the weather yesterday the Flyers are now the 2nd game today, Alexandria and Bemidji at 11am with the winner playing Little Falls at 1:30 at St. John's for the section championship, live on AM960 KLTF and online at fallsradio.com.
HS BAB= all games in Section 6A and Section 6AA were moved to today, meaning USA will take on Brandon-Evansville today and the two matches to decide who Pierz will play on Thursday will also be later tonight in St. Cloud. Pierz game tomorrow at 5pm on FM94.
WNBA= Seattle beat the Lynx last night 84-77, Lynx now 3-1.
NBA= NBA Finals resume tonight, game 3 with series tied at 1.
